Honestly, I believe the reason a lot of hosts seem to be intimidated by animals is directly related to how many of them are native New Yorkers... So Kelly had one of the greatest impromptu comics of all time as a guest and didn’t give him a single moment to do what he does best - entertain. It was almost as if he was the only man, unable to get two words in a row out, in a roomful of cackling women.

I really don't think he thought it was venomous at all. It's pretty common knowledge that anacondas are constricters, not biters (yes, of course, they bite but it's not the part that kills). He was probably saying it to be silly. But it was good that the guy explained that they don't kill with venom because kids will watch this that may not have the years of life experiences that Jim has.

Hedgehogs are sensitive animals. They go to defensive mode very easily, which is to say, they will curve up to a spiky ball. In Finland, we don't disturb them. We leave some milk in a bowl at the yard, and let them drink it when they feel comfortable enough to do so. We are one with the nature after all. Some foreigners are shocked when they are taken to a lonely cabin in the middle of the woods with no human or machine sounds anywhere to be heard, but us Finns we love it, and consider it a true holiday when we don't have to put it with noice and disturbing social interractions. When we can just be free to think our own thoughts and yell at the forrest all our frustrations.

I'm DEAD because I know that people do this A LOT when someone says something that isn't true in their passion and the other person is not aware of that because they just want to make a joke or say something completely different.

But some don’t even want to hold a baby bear cub 😳 I’m sure they could be putting on an act, if they do I find it annoying. I'm sorry for your loss. Sadly, some people get uncomfortable when others share real emotions and react by posting dumb remarks. Most people though, have the sense to appreciate and respect it. Just look at all the likes you are getting here. This has been my own experience too. Have been through some tough times and have written a tad of it here and there when something has inspired/prompted me to do so. And have received a lot of positive response. The few dump retorts mattered little, and over time matter not at all.
One ends up feeling a little sorry for them, that's all.
And yes, having had it hard makes one really appreciate good stuff; joy, happiness, kindness, it being your own or other's.
