you are absolutely CORRECT, Sir! We will NEVER see the likes of them again. Ann & Nancy Wilson of HEART, during an interview in 1999, were asked "do you ever compare yourselves to, say, ABBA?" Nancy Wilson's answer was classic: she said "NOBODY can compare themselves to ABBA, not even the Beatles. They are in a league all their own, the best voices, the best songwriters, the best lyricists of ALL time.......all time. So NO, we don't, we cannot, compare ourselves to ABBA. Look, we are very happy with our career, our band, we've been blessed, we've traveled all over the world. But to compare any band, any musician, any vocalists to the 2 in ABBA..............it cannot be done..........and SHOULD not be done. We can't hold a candle to ABBA. Does that mean we are not proud? Of course not. We are extremely proud of our body of work. But we know we are not on their level. Nobody ever will be. We are not peers of ABBA. ABBA has no peers."
Impressive indeed! btw, at the end where Frida and Agnetha are singing, are they yodeling or singing in svenska? Greetings to ya from Querétaro(up here on the central plateau)!! :)
Well I'm pretty sure this just a lip-sync or the person editing the video just put the studio version over it as a lot of people do with ABBA videos (as you can see they don't even have microphones). But either way even if it is just the studio version, yes, the vocals are awesome by everyone, and at the end I think they're just yodeling "yodel sounds", not in any particular language, although there are some versions of their songs that they did Swedish versions of. :) ~:~

Joyous on every level. An interesting aspect to this was that there was no grand-plan at this point. They weren’t even called ABBA. But at some point later they realised that what they had here was solid dynamite.
Agnetha changed a bit for sure, and Frida had about 500 different hairstyles, but the fellas looked virtually the same throughout the band's existence :D

I was in Walmart with my grandmother in 2005 (2 years after my mom gifted me a portable CD player complete with an ABBA CD) and spotted a 2 CD box set entitled ABBA the Defenitive collection. I picked it up off the shelf and went over to my grandmother to ask her to buy it for me (mind you I’m 13 years old at the time) she did and that the first thing I do when I got in the car is tear off the protective plastic and open the case and pop in the first CD and well low and behold I discover what was ABBA’s very first single and I have loved this song and any ABBA song since. Their first ever song from 1972. Wonderful yet so simple. Starting off a timeless legacy.
Simple but it was my favorite in 1973.
The men have noticeable swedish accents here. They did really well to lose that on later tracks
