Frida has got tons more stuff pre-ABBA, live TV, live Radio. Opera stuff, jazz etc.... 1964 Major Best Vocalist award. 1967 National Best Vocalist Award. 1964 recording, The Anni-Frid Four, etc....
Frida will always be my favorite in my opinion as far as her beauty goes she is one of the rare beauty that seem to look older when they were younger and looks younger as she got older if that makes sense lol
@@Sandra-yx6yp No, it's okay what he said They are the Agnethas is because the other is the one that appears singing in it 5:12 (with Björn only as an actor)
The "rehearsal" track and the one titled "I Templet" are from a show called "Jesus Christ Superstar," and Agnetha is singing a song called "I Don't Know How to Love Him" in the character of Mary Magdalene.
It should be made clear that the clip at 5:10 features *Agnetha Munther* who was a Swedish singer and not to be confused with *Agnetha Fältskog* the singer in *ABBA* and one-time wife of *Björn Ulvaeus* .
YESS! - BUT very interesting to hear the Sweden language. In English ABBA is THE GODS! FOREVER! (40 years passed- NO equal)! Their music goes throw all my life!
The Sweden language is not for the MUSIC! May be to the military Marshes? But the Sweden 200 years not in the war! The RUSSIANS told them! And they were clever!
I've always had my doubts about those two guys and after seeing this, my doubts have been confirmed. After it was all over they let Frida and Agnetha go way too easy.
You can see, why when I lived in Sweden during 1972 and 1973, I didn't watch much TV! Yes, I met Agnetha in June 1972, just before ABBA became ABBA. Back then, she had a gap between her front teeth and a broader nose.
with only about 6 million swedish talkers in the world, they had to branch out and sing in english. they performed some of their hits in german too, among other languages
I was born the week People Need Love was released in Sweden (their first hit), and now work as "Benny" in an Abba tribute, but I've never seen most of these, thanks for posting. Frida's Baby Love was interesting without the swing beat and played straight (unlike the backing singers!)
Damn, I'm getting old for liking this :). But all joke aside, the music is fabulous, sincere, gentle and full of love and romanticism. Not like today's shit they call music.
The women's solo recordings in those days didn't have such a marginalized sound as Bjorn. Bjorn sounds so.....hmmm Swedish here; It's still fun though to step back in time and outside the box and realize the miraculous change they went through. The same thing happened to Diana Ross and the Supremes. They sounded like !@#$ when they first started.
@@geerterri Five years older than Agnetha, Frida had been a band singer, music video star, popular regular television personality and recording artist. She had also acted, modeled, made a film, studied voice under an opera singer and dance with a professional instructor. She was by far the most professionally experienced of the group.
She was in a group called family four who would represent Eurovision in 1971 & 1972, she would leave the group in 75' to pursue another solo career, which didn't really take off ngl
Who would think that these people would go on to be so big? Yea, the voices are clear. But the arrangements are typical for the time. Nothing hinting at the sound that would be announced in the first few bars of Waterloo.
It's obviously meant to be a jokey Cabaret version since there weren't two other girls to be The Supremes. The guy on the right is Lennie Norman, the son of Charlie Norman whose show that was. On the excellent ABBA documentary 'When Four Became One' he says "She was in another league" and destined for bigger things. He was right. A better choice for an early TV appearance of hers would be the very first one in 1967. 'En Ledig Dag' is a stunning debut on a live TV show.
@@chelseacharger yes you're right, she was outstanding on that show. When you think she knew nothing about having to perform live on tv after winning that competition and hadn't even rehearsed with the band plus it was the first time they'd played the tune too! That's Annie Frid singing baby Love in Sweden wow so beautiful...❤️🌍💋
Then she sings the song from married with children.😂
Annifreeda songs are very cool ,soothing , im feeling tranquility,
their voices together are just perfect
Anni-Frid Lyngstad was already a DIVA 💕✨
Aww FRIDA! Always my favorite one❤😍

Frida looked older young, and older when older
The fashion of the time had a lot to do with that...Women looked older in sixties fashion...
She looks very old now though
❤

Not as old as five years younger Agnetha.
Such a rare glimpse of what we lost.
You can say that again!
Agnetta's voice brought out the ABBA
🤣🤣🤣
I could never in a million years get my hair to look like Bjorns. ☺️
The Agnetha ones are from Jesus Christ Superstar, where she played Mary Magdalene. Kinda cool to see.
Frida singing Min Soldat is my favourite bit. Björn was engaging too and what great voices both Agnethas had.
The blonde was Agnetha sometimes called Anna, the brown haired girl was Anni-Frid also called Frida

OMG! Frida doing a sweedish version of "Baby Love" (The Supremes)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was fantastic. THANKS!
Come on dude, really ?
Those obviously gay choire boys made me puke. Sorry
Thank goodness ABBA saved the world from Bjorn's solo career.
@Ding Ting ..LOL! You had me rolling. Mean, but funny
OK. That is funny. Strange how he got so much better. Always trust your own material!
😂😂😂
You're damn right man, jajajajajaja...!!!
I mean his voice isn't that bad; I think his solo stuff is cute. But I still totally see where you're coming from, ha ha. 😂😂😂

Just goes to show that despite the appearance of ABBA appearing full-blown out of nowhere, its members paid their dues before hitting the big time.
R C Nelson out of nowhere? Guess again Tubby. Eurovision 74 was friggin huge
now I really understand how great they were singing dancing queen not even fluent in English

Amazing to see how they all came together like the power rangers and took the world by storm. The whole story would be a great movie.
Yes, but this time make the movie with out the liberal american hating leftest.
Love your analogy. Perfect!
Agnetha forever!!!
But Frida was the best and most talented, as Björn said "Frida could sing anything!" 😊
Some pretty wild stuff here! And funny too. Never saw them before ABBA became famous. Jack from Pennsylvania.
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻

Björn met Agnetha when they were shooting that boat-scene

Agnetha did the ABBA style. That what I think after viewing this.
Yes, you can definitely hear the future ABBA sound in her crystal clear, note perfect voice.
Agnetha was already an established rock/pop singer by the time that she met Bjorn.
It was Andrew Lloyd Webber actually..
That was a great rendition of the Jesus Christ, Superstar song. Agnetha always had the beautiful voice.
