- At that time in 1973, Abba was still called "Björn & Benny", but Agnetha & Anni-Frid/Frida were already part of the group. However, when Agnetha Fältskog gave birth to her daughter Linda in 1973, she was replaced for a short period by Inger Brundin, who we see in this video, on a trip to West Germany and Austria.
Spotlight was a music show for the youth, which was aired between 1968 and 1978 by the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF). It was the counterpart to the shows "Beat Club" or "Musikladen" in Germany.
Frida looks absolutely stunning here. She made that outfit she's wearing herself. The lady here was a close friend of Fridas who was a religious singer and stepped in for Agnethea when she had her first child. Unfortunately she passed very young of cancer. Nice lady. There is another song from this same show. They sang Ring Ring too

Yes, she looked even better with more natural eyebrows. (Both Norwegian and German women had a tendency to pluck them for some reason, at this time. It was much less common among Swedish women.)

ABBA thought that nobody would notice the difference since they were completely unknown in the rest of Europe by then. So they used Frida's friend Inger Brundin as a replacement. They did the same thing in Germany on Disco '73.

Inger even manages a bottom lip bite in the style of Agnetha at 1:18 ! I also just listened to one of her solo tracks, and people are correct. She had a beautiful voice very like Agnetha's.

It's a shame that Inger Heinerborg (that was her stage name) will only be known, mostly, for her stand-in gigs for Agnetha for a couple of weeks in Germany while Agnetha was recovering from childbirth. Inger was a great singer and had a voice oddly similar to Agnetha's. However, she only sang gospel music as a profession and didn't become a huge pop success, for obvious reasons.
Another miming to the recorded track can't see the point without Agnetha.

It's obviously playback. Inger was just a stand-in for lip-synching. She was a truly great singer and sounded very similar to Agnetha.

It's understandable Agnetha was pregnant and ABBA had stuff scheduled that they couldn't cancel. But this Inger woman is no Agnetha, sorry. Blond, pretty, but just not her. I think Agnetha's second pregnancy was carefully planned to coincide with the break the band took. They couldn't get away with replacing Agnetha by that time.
Without Agnetha they made it sound like ABBA, which no copycat ABBA band has ever remotely achieved.
It sounds like ABBA because it's lipsynch. It's Agnetha's voice from the official ABBA recording; the track was not re-recorded with Inger, nor were they singing live.

No disrespect to Linger especially as she has now past it is obviously they are lip syncing i can hear Agnetha plus a give away to that is that they have no microphones but that said Linger gave a great ABBA performance.

Yes, of course. Very many of these performances were lip-synced by necessity. Lots of bands did it. Some shows demanded that the pre-recorded session was not the original studio version to make it more realistic. ABBA did perform a few mini concerts with full band etc. but that's a big commitment for a one-off show. Many of the official videos made for TV back in the 70s were lip-synced like this.
