HefeP if you let the meta develop enough, sure enough there will be more Ike mains here and there. we're just 2 years into sm4sh and it took aMSa almost nine years to come out of his shell. and, on the upside, I main Ike. y'know. we just need dedicated players to play him, because let's face it, there are legit little Mac mains (saying this hurts me) and, time will tell if Ike gets the same fate. However, for the moment, Ike is in the never-used Tier and probably will be for a good amount of time.
HefeP at least he can recover, however without a jump he's basically powerless. the good definitely outweigh the bad though. he's got basic combos, kill confirms (even if it's out of 50/50s), kill power (not so important though), a sword to zone out opponents on close range and... what else do you need? aside from that, Ike being stuck in mid tier is definitely possible, because he's an unpopular pick after someone's c-stick days are over and people are much more tempted to choose a top tier over a char they like. sorry if I'm rambling, it's just my favorite thing to talk about. :3
