Absolutely! Without taking extra classes, Philip would probably be in the Marines now. Our schedule in the Navy would not have lined up and that will be very difficult for the relationship as well.
Haha, definitely apply to both! We are a bit biased, but we think the Naval Academy is prettier. Also, depending no what you wanna do after graduation, you will ALWAYS be on a beach if you are in the navy vs. in the middle of no where (desert, swamp, you name it) in the Army.
@@jujuandphil2020 yeah I agree with those points for sure. I want to go into Special forces (green berets) so for that reason I’m thinking West Point. I will apply to all three academy’s though, and I guess choose from there
Hello! I am currently a junior in HS and am looking towards applying to USNA. But I have a problem which is I do not know what major I want to pick. I have Nuclear Engineering, Aerospace Engineer, and Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering in mind but I don't know what to pick. Do you have any recommendations for me? I really enjoy your videos and thank you for making them! Helps me a lot!!
Yeah it’s really going to be totally up to you! First I’d say worry about getting in, then the major, since you don’t pick majors until near the end of for freshmen/plebe year. As long as the academy has a major that you’re interested in don’t sweat picking it out before going there! You can take some time to figure it out and talk to people in all the different majors during your first semester! There are also plenty of presentations and a lot more information sent out on all the different majors as the selection date comes closer. Hope this helps! Good luck!
@@jujuandphil2020 Thank you!! Looking forward to your next video! I'm very glad I was able to find your channel, it has helped me understand the Academy a lot better than before.
I heard Guam 🇬🇺. I am currently living in Guam I know this is an old video but if you guys have any questions I would be more then happy to answer them. We move here on Island back in 2010 so we’ve been here for almost 11 years now.
My son was invited to summer seminar 2021. It is being held virtually. Is this a good indicator he will be qualified for the academy? Any tips for summer seminar?
I am currently a freshman and interested in going to the naval academy. What would you recommend I do to prepare? My sophomore year I am going to be taking a couple engineering courses. I am also currently in the JROTC at my program.
Hey, im a Junior in high school and I’m thinking about applying to USNA I want something revolved around sports or economic maybe medicine. Not to sound cocky but I’m pretty smart although my grades don’t reflect that. Freshman and sophomore years my grades were below the 70s but now that I’m trying I’m in the 95+. Do you have any recommendations on what I can do to higher my chances of getting in?
Hey, grades are definitely important, but sports and leadership experiences are equally important. Test taking is also an skill, practice more and you will do better!
What happened to becoming an officer of the line and serving your country instead of using the academy to help you get a graduate degree for a civilian job? Maybe we should look more closely at the motives of those who want to attend and not be a slave to diversity.
I applaud you phil for taking extra classes and going over the units at the academy. With all that, it paid off.

I like the naval academy videos a lot! Although I want to go to West Point I know that a lot of the info is transferable

Thanks, I just passed on your wisdom on Grades & Girls to my son (who is an aspiring 9th grader for US Naval Academy).
Awesome! Glad we can help!
Here’s another video of these two USNA graduates and about majors. They have really good info.
Any recommendations for someone interested in foreign area studies?

The e-tool. The greatest infantry weapon ever invented.

Juju: Philip is a bum
Mom: but his family is wealthy
Juju: okay
Go MARINE option where the only advanced training you'll receive is in the use of the e-tool.
You did nothing with your degree in the navy? Congratulations your a LIFER
well that’s rude
