This was a great episode! A real eye opener for some people and in this day and age every penny counts! We use whipping cream to make our own butter - the side benefit is that the left over liquid is butter milk - great for baking!
Thank you. All i do hope for is to try and show how a few pennies can still be saved, even in this modern fast paced world. I didn't know about whipping cream and butter, but will look into it as it sounds great.
@@themanofthewoods - here is a link to show how we do it. The woman in this clip is not using a wide mouth mason jar, I would recommend that. Also, leave the whipping cream sit for a half hour when you remove it from the fridge, it speeds the process up.
I like the way you present everyday life on your channel. Simple and wise, and at the same time it makes you think about what should be important in everyday life, not just the pursuit of money but the simple peace of everyday life and happiness from simple activities. 😁
Thanks for the cookery tip. It`s something that i will try myself.I suffer from coeliac disease and what you have just produced is coeliac friendly and good for you into the bargain.
I really wish i loved porridge man! I'm a couple of eggs every morning kinda girl! Enjoying the videos and the doggies are an absolute joy. Thank you 💚
One Farley rusk in a cup, one table spoon of oats into the cup along with the rusk pour a quarter cup of milk over and leave over night, this will keep you going a good 4 hours beautiful
The porridge oats is by far, more filling, slow release, cheaper and better for you. From someone that tries to keep on a plant based diet. Nicer smell when cooking with cinnamon. Going to share your you tube to my daughter and granddaughter, they might try your oat squares tomorrow 😊
6 small apples in my local Tesco's £1.09p. Six healthy snacks. Good video message to get out there. We can all be guilty of just grabbing the first thing that comes to hand. Take care and stay well.
Sat out with the horses for the second night after a terrible couple of days when they escaped and were running free. My sweet treat for the night, rolled oats, a pinch of salt and a few spoons of sugar, hot water added and stirred ( cocoa powder used for a chocolate drink to go with it). Great vid by the way. Take care, stay safe Kev PS nothing wrong with a chocolate bar now and then 😉
@@themanofthewoods0530, your oats prompted me to cook some drop scones (or is it scones?) With added cacao. It was justified, the horses didn't escape so a bit of luxury is good LOL
@@themanofthewoods yeah, could do with a small bottle of whiskey but don't like the idea of getting drunk just now...maybe if I manage to stable the dynamic duo I can enjoy some of god's own nectar LOL. Have a great day Kev, fingers crossed that the horses remain penned so I can grab an hour (sat in the upturned wheelbarrow last night, remarkably comfy!)
That was a good watch, thank you. Money is a 'funny' thing. I see it as nothing but a tool .... bit like a hammer. I don't need a hammer on every job neither do I judge peoples wealth by the number of hammers they have. Each unto their own as they say.
Very interesting video. That snack is definitely much healthier than the Flake, no doubt! Side note, it actually was not vegan, though, since it had honey in it, just saying.😆
Thank you for your comment. I do state it is not bee honey in the video. google dandelion honey. you are not the first to mention this though. It is made from dandelions.
Hello Everyone! Eating slowly and breaking up a meal into two will not only help you lose weight but contributes to saving your money for another much needed item(s). BEWARE: If you leave those goodies on the table; Ava would have spent all of your savings in one gulp! YIKES!!
My frugal means utilising everything no waist ..sure you understand that,.if i had money saved id rather put into something i can continue it may take more time but yh i think frugal folk its not that they tight its there just logical with aspects included i mean there is no doubt you can make a vastky superiour oat bar in all aspects for less so why wouldnt you...but again as you know the word 'Time' tricks people because time is money and the time needed is often short in reality its more being organised n knowing what your doing...so yh its a ethos not being tight 😂....just my 1 pence 😂 👍🤙

My pleasure!
