You are spot on about these big bikes not being meant for wheelie’s or those types of shenanigans, way back in the 90’s circa 95 a fella with a new “D” model ZX-11 use’t to wheelie that bike and one day he came crashing down from a nooner & it busted the upper fairing stay, cracked the upper fairing, and busted the front fender up, these are just to long & heavy bikes for stunting.
You dont know the first about fork seals, they dont "blow" from a big slam. The seals wear out, or the tube is dirty, causing them to leak. Wheelies dont ruin fork seals and nobody off roads a zx14.
If only we could get these new in the uk!!!!!! Plenty of used around though, you’ve got me thinking about these bikes 😅 come on Kawasaki, let’s have an updated zzr!!!
@@snakeman9902 So happy on the other side of the pond that we still get new ZX14r. I guess that is the universe way to compensating for winter... we get the new ZX14 and don't have to go thru your licensing either.
Hey man, I've watched a load of your videos! Great content! Have you thought of doing a ride comparison between this and a h2sx (there are a bunch of versions for the h2sx) I think it would be a good comparison. You did mention it before but I don't know if it's one of your plans. Have a great day 💪🏽
I own a zzr14. I will say this I agree with what is said about the zzr14. I love the power delivery and the seating position is makes to a comfy ride. I won't sell the one I have. I enjoy it so much. I can't folt it. If ya haven't riden one then I suggest you go and try one one. You will ether you will love it or hate it.
One minute in ~ I owned a 2010 model. I can tell you what the major limitation is. The thing is nine foot long. It 'Handles' very nicely, can lean in and stand up as instructed, it's very stable and composed, but it needs to be leaned over significantly more to get the same line, or be taken through that corner at 80% the same speed. This is somewhat more noticeable at low speeds but it's true at all speeds. A corner you can take on an R6 at 100 km/h, you can get through on the zx14 at 75 km/h. A zx10r of the same vintage will do it about 85 ~ 90. It is a very good 2-up mount, and it has a clutch which is simply the gold standard all motorcycle clutches should be judged by. A much shorter wheelbase would fix the cornering, but you'd lose the room, you'd lose the easy launch, you'd lose the stability and composure ~ You can take a sedan car and stick a 6 foot plug in the middle and make a stretch limmo from it. You can do that with any car. If you took Lamborghini or a Ferrari La Ferrari, or let's say a Lotus Exige ~ and stuck a 6 foot plug in it, added face to face bench seats in the back, that's kind of what a ZX14 is. It kinda thinks it's a proper sports-bike, and in many ways it is, but it's twelve foot long ~
You’re said it many times The ZZR1400 was built and sold has an all rounder To me that means it’s a bike that is good at sports/touring/communting. Not the best at any but good enough at everything. One bike instead of three.
Beautiful bike I had one for 2 years loved it regret selling it was a fantastic mile muncher at 70🙏😂😂I really wish I had kept it I’ve got a triumph rocket 3gt now better sitting position feet forward which I love and easier for my 63 yr old body and power is fantastic too and as for off road🤷♂️🤷♂️NOOOO Tarmac both wheels at all times there’s a lot of people far far more skilled than me who could do it but my limitations are not up there with there’s take care ride safe both of you
I could've used the extra weight over my own bike's 450 lbs ish wet weight yesterday, as I was being blown around quite a lot after going to fill up with petrol. Manhandling it in the garage afterwards though, not so much. Horses for courses I suppose, especially with regard to my 66 years and 10 stone naked bulk.
Lane splitting is a hassle with it, but then it's a flying sofa...... Guess I would take it to the top of a mountain, as I've tried and succeded without hurting the bike with other non-off-road ones.....but you need a trigger finger acceleration and cluth handling to not skid and loose traction.....
Your be surprised how well they go on a track day, my m8 had a zx9r & I was on my old 14, apart from blowing the zx9r on the straights the zx9r wasn't that much quicker throw the bends
Hola Amigo, why don’t you visit me in Spain Murcia , bring the Zzr1400 join me on an adventure with Purdy H2 SXSE+ 240 hp …. See how the H2 should have been !! Come on !!
⛔Whilst all the rides are enjoyable they dont describe details we want to know on the ZX14R Ie Hows the vibration off footpegs Whats the degree's of throttle tension Do the mirrors provide a Clear view till what speed ? How is glare in instrument cluster How is pillion comfort When you are riding machine these are the seat of the pants feedback wanted for prospective buyers rather than ancillary comparos with previous machines Unless you have a video specifically tailored to my questions Having had for 4 years you may think unimportant but please include info during your rides that relate to model riding Cheers, ok not intended to be criticism as such. They should, I agree, they should be able to beat the emissions, as the Busa did it.

Julian, if you get a test ride on one you will buy. These bikes are sublime.

So where have you toured on it as we have been Italy, France, Spain, Andorra, Switzerland etc. and it tours fine.
Offroading? What a comment!

Off roading....really ? It's like discussing using a Ferrari for rally driving. Not worth discussing.
One thing they can't do, touring at 60 mpg like the Ninja 650
Try 35 mpg.

It's more nimble in corners if you counter stear especially in a emergency avoidance .keep up the good content.. 👍

Best on A and wider B roads. That said, wait until you get a back tyre blow out on a ZZR14...then try to move it! That was my Christmas eve 23!
