No we don’t, we run a lot of prototype and sponsorship products that may not be ready to go on sale so we have to recycle everything we use. Thanks Len
2 things: 1-If I’m in doubt of a products performance (crash, bent), if something is damaged we will replace it to ensure the bike runs as best as possible. 2-The riders have a good knowledge base of suspension. They all run various custom suspension tunes, and they can identify if the need a click more compression or rebound. It can get quiet detailed with suspension changes ever run, especially with temperature changes. Thanks Len
That is the absolute dream, why does the riders go through tyres that quickly, I’ve run my dh casing maxxis dhf and dhr for a year and a half no problems
The only thing that counts is 1 run in finals, so we have to prepare the bikes 110% for that run. We do a lot of testing through the practice days to ensure the bikes work as best as possible. The budget of the elite teams can be large, staff, accommodation, fuel, pit fees etc.. it could be a $100k weekend, so to replace a tire is not a significant factor. Thanks Len
Love the spares.. more than any bike shop I've worked in.
Where do you work? I deal with a lot of riders in BC. Thanks Len
Hi Len, I work at Alta in Queenstown NZ, a great spot.. we always have the international riders in the off season.@@garage31
Do you give away the used tires and parts after the race is over?

What's the bigest change from being a shop mechanic?
