Just found your channel and I am totally surprised that you have to date only 24 views! Love ❤️ your presentation and hope that this changes as you need to be up front and centre and people like me don’t have to Google you to 👀 you. 🙏 Jai Scott for bringing this man to my and others attention.
19 years old is an adult and she is in a hospital to receive help. I get the rights part, but due to what she did, all of those rights should be thrown out!!!
No, I disagree, you can't throw out all rights because of an alleged crime. It should be common knowledge that if a cop is present, what you say or do will be used against you. That in the instance of a confessed felony NO profession will keep it a secret.
@@ScrappyXFLif I was a cop, I’d make it second nature as soon as I approached a suspect (in whatever setting) if I had a bodycam or witnesses - I’d read them their rights. I’m from the UK and a serial 💀 lead a policeman to his second victim upon arrest but because he wasn’t read his right again, the whole case got thrown out and he denied any involvement 😐
@@SiobhanMaddox I'm of the same thought process of you. 👍Safer rather than sorry, fair rather than dirty. Still if someone knowingly did something and gave creedence that they did it, it should be fair game. The courts are an adversarial venue (over here) it should not be the duty of the prosecution to help the defendent, only a level playing field between the sides.
The daughter knew she was pregnant. Early on classmates were saying that she knew, she had even talked about names. That and she went to a restroom to give birth alone and hid the baby ultimately killing him because she wanted to continue to hide that fact. Hopefully the DA will still be able to prosecute and win. She should not be allowed to continue her life as if nothing happened.
Apparently that hospital is one of the kinds where you can drop the baby no questions asked. She had so many options. I also find it off putting that they named the baby Alex? Like she just took her own name for the baby that she threw away
The Doctor didn't ask a question or accuse her of anything, though. She stated that a deceased infant was found in the bathroom. Alexee made the choice (as an adult) to disclose her own medical information in the presence of her mother and any other people who were present at the time. People love to use HIPAA against healthcare workers to avoid Accountability (the first 'A' in HIPAA) for their own actions. Yes, Alexee has rights. But in order to exercise them, she has to be alive. If the Doctor doesn't have the information she needs to treat her, she could bleed to death before the hemorrhage is even found. This is a sad case all-around. Had Alexee been able to talk to her mother, this could have been a very different story. Neither Alexee nor her mother exhibit any sense of accountability, and an innocent baby died as a result. There were so many opportunities to do better. 😞
Once again, I agree with you Strategic. Police should have taken better care of procedure. And in the longer video, I didn’t hear them Maranda her at ALL that whole time they were with her. We have rights and we should be able to exercise them from the jump. Yes, the case is a slam dunk, but it should be done fairly, not trampling our Constitutional rights. This case is extremely sad. And her mom is a nut 🤦🏼♀️😔
I respectfully disagree that she didn't know she was pregnant. Friends at school said she told them she was pregnant and she was even picking out names! Her boyfriend knew too! The mother knew but refused to admit it. Making a scene when she gets arrested!
She didn't even have to call CPS! It was a hospital where you can leave babies no questions asked! All she had to do is give birth, and tell the doc, thanks but no thanks.
OK, the 19 year old girl knew she was pregnant. The baby literally moves around 4- 5 months. The mother knew too. Both are guilty. Mom should have took the Dr aside and said "I'm pretty sure my daughter is pregnant " . Then proper steps could have delivered her baby. Everyone failed this baby. I thought by now every girl was given a pregnancy test if they came to the hospital. Big fail from the hospital. ❤
Wouldn’t her confession help her though? Because she says “nothing was breathing.” Her defense as I understand it, is that the baby was stillborn. So her confession may prove helpful to her case….
Maybe or maybe not but it still may not be admissible unless the defense wants it too. Since they are fighting against it. They may not believe it will help them
What is there to win? The kids life is going to be an uphill battle for many years of her life. The emotional damage alone is going to be near repairable. She clearly had no clue she was pregnant, to top that off the trauma of seeing the blood, the fear she felt. Who are her parents? Why are they not in her life? The kid clearly was a party girl with next to no parental guidance. I don't no how to feel about this. It's disturbing to say the least
Very good point strategic. Cops protect doctors and I think maybe the doctors just want to help with the law enforcement, but they should not. edit - I do not think the doctor did anything "wrong", but this is a good reason to let cops handle the cop stuff, and keeping the medicine separate.
Wait, so if you confess to a felonious crime to your doctor or therapist even, they're not required by law to report it in NM? There is no implied or express trust in the medical profession. How do I know? Working on a legal case got hold of doctor's transcribed notes, doctor said he wouldn't say anything his patient was telling him and recorded what the patient told him in his notes. Guess what came up in the case -- THE DOCTOR'S LIE TO THE PATIENT'S FACE. And it wasn't even a crime. GOH with "trust"
That hospital was a safe drop off location as well. Im not super familiar with detained/arrested and miranda but i do know they argued with a third party they claim is an implied waiver of hippa. Also when officers are investigating a crime that was committed i believe hippa has certain areas it does not apply to due to the crime. I understand why theyre fighting it but ive watched alot and the family seems to not hold this 19yro (at the time) accountable for her actions and lies about the baby.
Ok you are right about her not being read her rights. However I don’t like they refer to her as a child, she is 19 years old and responsible for your actions. She and her boyfriend and her mother knew she was pregnant 😮
She obviously made some appalling decisions and acted in a very disturbing manner. But i do wonder if there’s any possibility that because she fought the labour for an extended period , whether the child was in distress ,and even though there may have been some air in his lungs , is there a possibility that he did actually stop breathing immediately after or while being born due to the interference of a naturally progressive birth and no intervention being performed by the doctors and nurses readily available at the hospital. This possibility would not at all excuse her despicable behaviour and actions but i just don’t honestly know if she deliberately actually manually murdered the child. I think the most probable explanation is she placed the baby in the garbage bags in the bin and that is how the baby asphyxiated. I do think there may be a slight possibility of it being in breathing distress during birth and without immediate medical attention it stopped breathing before she placed it in the bin.
@therealz360z7 Yeah so he obviously was breathing then when placed in the bin bag!! Absolutely incomprehensible how anyone could do this , especially in a hospital and trying to hide it. She cant be right in the head at all, who would believe they could possibly get away with this??? Its ridiculous to think no one would catch on.
Firmly disagree. ED physician only stated facts, non accusatory. Also teen was air transported to a higher level of care hospital for OB. Mr. Obvious could tell this girl was pregnant from the videos of her in cheerleader uniform. HELLO??!! She will be convicted for manslaughter as she should. Alexis and her mother make me need to vomit.
The trial judge disagrees, and hence, it's being appealed. As far as the pregnancy. I gave covered this in a while and never saw the prego picture. Either way, this is a ruling that currently stands unless overturned

Poor baby never had a chance at living. ☹️

The hospital did nothing wrong!..the morphine would not have harmed the baby
Awesome coverage. Thanks ❤
Her mother knew very well her daughter was pregnant.

I think so too
She even talked about names for the baby to school friends before she did this horrific deed!
Apparently that hospital is one of the kinds where you can drop the baby no questions asked. She had so many options.

Wasn’t it her mother that asked her “what did you do to it” the doctor just simply said that they found a dead baby in the bathroom… right..?
Seriously the mother is disturbed. Calling a newborn baby, your grandchild it? I wonder if Alexee is an it too?
The Doctor didn't ask a question or accuse her of anything, though. She stated that a deceased infant was found in the bathroom. Alexee made the choice (as an adult) to disclose her own medical information in the presence of her mother and any other people who were present at the time.

There’s a subreddit dedicated to her. She’s just living life like she didn’t do what she did.
I'm crying after you said "I want to live & then be loved"
😢

After the Karen Read case I have lost respect for 90% of Criminal Defense attorneys.
Please tell me you don’t think the state proved the case beyond a reasonable doubt!!! Reads attorneys were amazing

Love the intro
Good video , hope you're staying cool in this heat wave
I am at great cost. Energy bills are high
@@TrueStrategicEyes same here! I'll turn the AC off then realize I can't go 10 minutes without it

This is so heartbreaking this baby boy would of been on this earth now for her bad decision's. Shame on her 🤬🤬
What about the rights of that poor baby?

What ever she said, don't matter. the baby took a breath and was murdered. they don't need her to say anything.
I would like to know how she cut the umbilical cord.
It appears she had to use her mouth.
It was described like torn by a wild animal.

She wasn't 19 I wish people get their facts straight before they air this kind of report.
So she was 18 at the age of the kid being dead... so what, that's still an adult 🤦♂
