I don't think Pharazon was riding the eagle. It looks to me like the eagle just lands behind him.

9:26 The Eagles lived in Númenor, in fact they had eyrie in the King's house if i remember correctly, and with time compression i guess they still there cause they were gone by Pharazôn's time.
Now I know it would be sad, but i do hope we see Pharazôn kill the eagle at some point, it would add some shock value and say they are going against the Valar, the Evil has to come into minds of the Númenóreans for its downfall.
I think we will see even more flashbacks, more Miriel's dreams(nightmares) and we will start watching Earien's visions in the Palantir.
Also really curious to see if that "venom" thingy has something to do with the black leaves in Lindon and that turns out the mithril issue..... just not to mention why was Disa with a palantir in khazad-dum? .... fingers crossed

Calling it now (and if I'm wrong, you didn't hear it from me) - the slimy creature is either a.) a Balrog, as when its doused it's described as a slimy creature of darkness, or b.) a manifestation of that cursed tree from season 1

Around 10-13 secs into the teaser, we might be in Shelob’s den. What we’re seeing might be parts of her body moving.

I think the person inside the cloud of light might be Celeborn, returning from Mandos. In the trailer Celebrimbor says that he had an unexpected visitor and he does not look stressed when he says it. I think it's possible that Glorfindel was kicked out...again and replaced by Celeborn. Just a thought :)
And I noticed another thing. In the trailer we only see Charlie Vickers in an elvish Fana _after_ the destruction of Eregion. Maybe he is not playing Annatar, but another fair form of Sauron. It would make sense if they cast another actor for Annatar, because Celebrimbor knows Halbrand.

Hoping the actual score will sound amazing!
This dilema of Sauron wig is absurd, in no moment the show told you that this one is Annatar infiltrated, you have to see, its obvious his scenes are from final episode. There IS still the secret new actor of Sauron aka original form in the flashback and infiltrated in the gwaith i mirdain. The key is in the lady phrase "he was among us all along".
We’ll have to wait and see!

This show can't be bothered with accuracy in the timeline or in episodes. Ever noticed how they set something up in one episode, then maybe 15 minutes in, they've just contradicted it? I seriously cannot see how s2 will be better. The inconsistences may go away but they've butchered things so badly that there is no hope for course correction. Certainly not with the current showrunners and writers returning.
You guys don't think it is ridiculous that Sauron shapeshifting consists in putting on a wig and pointy ears? He expects the Elves won't recognizing him?
If Celebrimbor looks at him and don't recognize him. Do you think that makes sense?
I think it will make sense in context.
@@teawithtolkien it will make sense like Galadriel jumping off a ship thousands of miles from land? Or like Sauron leaving his mark all around so the enemies would know his exact location (and the fact that it took Galadriel hundreds of years to figure that out) ?

This is the first trailer ever (for ssn 2).
Also, we likely won't see the harfeet this season, but likely Nori + The Stranger. Next season we may catch up with the rest of the them. It's hard to say: this is our first look at an entire SEASON, and they've given us what the main focus will be.
This teaser feels so weird - like Venom / Aliens sci fi mixed with cheap dungeons and dragons.
The venom thing is weird I’ll give you that but I enjoyed the rest of it.

I can understand how it looks silly at the moment but it will make sense in the context of the season.
@@teawithtolkien i dont know. The teaser doesn’t instill much confidence that they can write good plots. And the fact that they just used a dumb wig as grand deception feels really stupid and ridiculous. Just grand visuals aren’t going to cut it. The plot and character arcs need to make sense. And so far they dont.
Also, What was an eagle doing with pharazon.
