Make sure you’re using the FCP lifetime guarantee. You didn’t need to keep paying $70ish for each change if you send the used oil back in the new oil containers.
Yeah it’s a great system, unfortunately sometimes the kit comes with a 5L bottle that can’t really be resealed and I end up buying the oil changes last minute, but im going to try and send my old ones back once I get the time
Oh you’re also from Connecticut as I am. I’m still thinking of getting the bmw, it just seems like a fun car to drive around in during college. Won’t be driving much and my tuition is cheap. I could also learn how to wrench more. Are you a college student yourself? How is insurance for you based on your age? That can help me kinda figure out an estimate of what it would be for myself as I’m sure we are close in age.
I’m going into my junior year of college and yes it’s a fun car, but motor-wise it’s not very easy to work on and idk if it would be a good car to learn on. A E9X 328i would be a bulletproof car that would also be more affordable. I’m under my parents insurance policy so it makes it a bit cheaper and the 335 isn’t my daily so I think it’s around 1k per year but again it’s not technically my car so that’s why it might be cheaper
im buying this for my 18 year old. getting ready to get insurance quote to add it as a 3rd car. Debating to add it under my name and add my son as a second driver. Did you ever buy yours?
Why not 340i ? It has B58 and people in EU are pushing it to the limit on stock block. I'm not from "states" so idk about tax or other things what you have to approach.
When I bought it, a 340i was roughly $10,000 more for an equivalent spec/milage example. I agree, the B58 is a much more potent and reliable engine, but the N55 isn't too bad for those on a tighter budget
@@BrendonWagner got it 👍 Yes, it's not too bad. Just look out for metal dust / shavings, you hit +200 k kilometers mark, it will be wise to change crank main bearings... Of course, be sure you have straight crank otherwise it will start "eating" fresh tight main bearings

@@Oneklickmedia definitely add your son as a second driver under your name if you can, it will probably save hundreds if not thousands
Any updates on the barn find Porsche?
Full video is dropping tomorrow at 12pm EST!
I've had my 335 for 7 months now.
I also ran into the actuator problem.
Seems to be a common issue.
Yeah I think it’s a BMW thing across the board
@@BrendonWagner Out of 4 bmws I've owned, 3 had issues with locks.
