Love these cars I had a 1600 gti when I passed my test the pug was fantastic remember driving down the m3 at 0600 it had so much torque it was fun this was the king of hatchbacks in the early 90s but you had to try and keep these pocket rockets away from the boy racer thieves leading to a hug insurance bill which finished my pug days
@@scbond I owned all the above at some point (and more). The 205 was definitely fun but the EP3 will always be my favourite. 8500rpm redline is addictive and the 6 speed box helped keep the revs up. The 205 was good and better than Ford or Vws attempts at the time. Yet wasn't as fun as some of the smaller turbo stuff like the R5 or uno turbo. Everyone has a good argument for their favourite hot hatch though.
Those seats are not from a GTI, are from a GTX. The GTI seats had leather in the sides and in the center were grey, white and with a straight vertical red line.
Had the 1.6 and 1.9 ... and to be honest, i was dissapointed ... the car didnt feel like a real GTI ... the missing interior quality esp. the dash board wasnt my piece of cake ... even then 1.9 was a lame duck ... i only loved the design of the car which was miles ahead of any other GTI that time ... better to go with the 309 GTI 16V ... but ey, the girls loved the 205 and still do ;-)
Gold GTi Mk1 came out before the 205 GTi. Even the Golf GTi facelift came before the 205. Bit odd to do a review of a car and get basic facts wrong.

I love mine use it daily to take my little one to school she loves it
205 GTi was definitely a good hot hatch. But better than a EP3 Civic? Better than a Golf MK1 GTi? Clio 182?

they are the correct seats for the 1.6, your talking about the 1.9 seats in uk spec
