Years ago I bought a 1.6 205 gti for a £100 it’s had some dents down one side from a baseball bat apart from that it was mint and definitely one of the most fun cars I have owned it felt quick and my god you could throw about
Misha, I had the opportunity to drive a Peugeot 205 GTI and I can tell you right away that this model you drove is much, much faster than the gti version. This is crazy how that car goes, they are really the best old cars with light weight. Great video I enjoyed every second of it. and ps. so that a man wouldn't be scared, you overtook cars and three times stronger than that little Peugeot 205.😱😱😱
I had the joy of owning a 205 GTI back in 2002, i''d only been driving for 8 months and boy did it teach lessons. I learned and pushed and knew the limits in time, on country rounds around the East of England it was pure joy. I found the original Ford Puma to be a very decent replacement some years on from that, many of the methods of driving the 205 worked perfectly in the Puma, the sound, the almost enough power, the balance and the perfect setup for a country road or a motorway. Very similar ethic to both in their design and driving experience. I miss both more than any cars i've ever owned in 22 years of driving! Watching and listening to this took me back a little, an awesome video.
I loved that!! I was laughing the whole lap watching the lads expressions and his T shirt getting more soaked as the lap unfolded! I think you made his year!! And that engine note.... loved that!
This reminds me why I have ALWAYS fun after driving my VW Polo VI 1.0 65hp (my wife uses it daily): light cars gives you much more fun and amplifies the speed feeling, at the same time not pushing any limits, have a great cornering and breaks are never overheated. Additionally it is much more fun when you get the lights pole position not because you have fast car, but because you are better, more forward-looking and smarter driver. It is soooo awarding. You can recognize fast car on a long straight road, but you can recognize fast driver on the corners. And this owner smile all track long: it is priceless. No 6 figures car gives such a smile. Misha is also contagious by the owner happiness. I believe that his opinion was honest.
Misha, you really should try to make it a series of 80's gti's. It would be fun to see the 205 1,9 GTI and Kadett GSI, and of course Golf GTI, as original as possible.
I think the car wights with its owner 850kg 😂, thank you for reviewing an old Peugeot❤. Micha your driving skill is incredibly insane I am a big fan of you ❤💪🏻
Used to have a 205 with the 2.0 S16 engine, the slightly less power but more torque engine. Did some modifications on that as well and made great power, sound and had a lot of fun with it. Watching this video makes me miss it a bit
what a fun video 😂 great to watch, really 👍 in my younger years i drive both versions of the 205 GTI(1.6 and 1.9) and i have to say they were good and pretty fast little guys 😉😁 thank you for sharing 😀
Actually this one is not even that crazy. I used to own it's bigger brother with the same engine, but some guys put a homebrew 2.0 16V turbo in a 205 and that was a lot faster than this. I believe it was a combination of the 605 SRTi engine (XU10J2TE) with the 16V head off of a 306 S16 (XU10J4). Not really built for corners though.
@@FicaGTI i had a dark gray one. It was a 1.6gti originally but that engine blew up and replaced it with a 1.9 gti block that we rebuilt at mechanic school i was in. At that time i also had a 1985 mazda rx7 13b non turbo but that we sadly couldn't fix, to much rust and neglect.

That was *fantastic* ! I much prefer watching this more "real world" 80/90's cars with a bit of power vs hypercars I'll never even see in real life. Misha, you make it look so easy. The pedal cam is really great to watch during the lap. All the best from Prague

Years ago I bought a 1.6 205 gti for a £100 it’s had some dents down one side from a baseball bat apart from that it was mint and definitely one of the most fun cars I have owned it felt quick and my god you could throw about
Great drive! Makes happy. Respect for driving skills and the nice feedback about the car.
Very motivating on the build of another old Pug.
Thank you!
Great Misha👏 You boiled the 205🔥and boiled the owner with smiles😂he was so amused to see his souped-up 205 racing to the limit🔥👍
You need to take this man with you on all of your runs. He’s awesome and his attitude is a perfect compliment to yours👌
What a perfect little car, congrats to owner for building such thing, perfecto
I loved that!! I was laughing the whole lap watching the lads expressions and his T shirt getting more soaked as the lap unfolded! I think you made his year!!
And that engine note.... loved that!
This video made me smile, made me laugh, and made me wish I lived the Europe so I could have Misha drive a car I owned
ive had a few solid little shed built track cars that i think misha would have enjoyed. i sure did!
What a blast ! A custom made "little" 205 with a huge emmotional power. Engine sound is amazing. Your excitement is communicative !
A hair heavier than a beetle and nearly 170hp sounds like great fun. I love it!
The Lion goes from strength to strength 👍😉💪
I think the car wights with its owner 850kg 😂, thank you for reviewing an old Peugeot❤. Micha your driving skill is incredibly insane I am a big fan of you ❤💪🏻
Used to have a 205 with the 2.0 S16 engine, the slightly less power but more torque engine. Did some modifications on that as well and made great power, sound and had a lot of fun with it.
Watching this video makes me miss it a bit
I give your knowledge of cars a rating of 105/205.
Love your vids man!
what a fun video 😂 great to watch, really 👍 in my younger years i drive both versions of the 205 GTI(1.6 and 1.9) and i have to say they were good and pretty fast little guys 😉😁 thank you for sharing 😀
2:33 Never a speedometer climbed so fast in a 205!!
Car sounds great! So much fun! Love Mischa’s spirit. Passing all those cars so much skill.
Gotta get this back once he has made the changes, so much fun in a 205!!
That owners face at 180 is priceless, he wonders if he tightened all the suspension bolts properly...
love it. i had a 205 GTI 1.9 128bhp version regret ever selling that one.
they are either 122 hp or 128 for the older non cat version
Yeah, me too..black 1.9
@@FicaGTI i had a dark gray one. It was a 1.6gti originally but that engine blew up and replaced it with a 1.9 gti block that we rebuilt at mechanic school i was in.
At that time i also had a 1985 mazda rx7 13b non turbo but that we sadly couldn't fix, to much rust and neglect.
@@izodope Nice one, mine was 1989 non cat OE 1.9, sold it when prices were low and I needed the money, want to buy it again but prices have skyrocketed...will see wish me luck :)
This is one of the best videos. Just reminder that speed is relevant. Even on UA-cam, you can feel the danger and sense of speed is the same in a bouncy tin can, as it is in a hypercar. The look at that young guys face brought back fun memories. Let's be honest most of us have experience of driving an old car way faster than it was intended to be driven. That is some of the best fun you can have in a car. Thanks for the video..
We all forget these lighter weight cars and the fun you can have with sub 200hp fwd
misha installing the speedocam and the car owner's face is priceless. they both enjoy it to the fullest. wonderfull driving in a wonderfull iconic little car!! keep up the good work Misha
the definition of "Full send"
The blink 182 gif is perfect!!!
I always love these sleepers/underdogs most, small light normal cars beating beasts in the ring is always fun to watch. also the owners reactions are great! Cool ride!
This 205 with bucket seats and the diff would be a BEAST! Awesome little build!
yup toss out the rear seat and some rear disc brakes.
He looks like a Frisian kid who's having a hell of a lot of fun with his car project, love it. Love that he experienced it being driven like this. Awesome video!
Owner looks scared
I've had the 1.9 205 Rallye for over 10 years and it was the best car i've ever had. The engine survived 20 km without cooling water until it blocks. But after that i drove it 2 more years. Oil consuption was pretty high after that incident but everything else was normal.
You really enjoyed that... didn't you Misha... great build!
9:42 “How??”
😂😂😂
I just found this channel about a week ago and I have probably already watched 10 hours worth of content. And this has been my favorite moment yet!
You are in for a ride, he did so many great laps. He also did collab with some great channels, such as Carwow, Hoonigan, Officially Gassed, BIGMSB and many with Shmee150, altho Shmee doesnt let him drive his cars xD
@@frog382 I’ll have to find the Hoonigan content!
@@TheBPHero They did 24h of nurburgring together and they appeared in some other videos but were not doing the video together. I think they appeared in the video where Misha drove sf90.
Misha you absolute madman 😜
That was a Pugging fun lap! Smiles all round, even the other drivers :D
Toujours aussi bon Misha !
Always had a soft spot for the little 205. Love what the owner has done with this. 👌🏻
The guy have the face you are expecting of a 205 owner lol.
205 GTI 1.9 - My first car. The thing about 205 GTI's is that they put a smile on your face. Just a fun driving experience.
nao tem legenda misha!!! nos brasileiros olhamos seu canal!!!
now, this is some super-fun clip. engine sound, scared owner, and that RAW feeling of drive... too bad YT dont have clip ratin, this would be one of top rated ones on this channel.
Xu10j4rs one of the best engine from peugeot, especially on the 306 GTI6
anda muy bien ese 205 es muy rapido
you simply cannot beat a goofy little 80s or early 90s euro hatch. they're so much fun. this wasnt too far off of the crappy mk1 vw cabriolet i had 20 years ago for Ring trips. it was completely stripped, mk2 engine with cam and exhaust, KW suspension, falken tires with about 300 treadwear, 16V brakes. it was a cheap, perky, fun, reliable little track car that i beat the living daylights out of. perfect for a weekend of bashing around the ring. parts were in every store around the area, so no matter what i broke, i could quickly fix it and get back on track to play some more
Yo, 205, nice
That was *fantastic* ! I much prefer watching this more "real world" 80/90's cars with a bit of power vs hypercars I'll never even see in real life. Misha, you make it look so easy. The pedal cam is really great to watch during the lap. All the best from Prague
Good video
Before I even watch it this is the one I've been waiting for. Live in the UK, am 50 years old and what car did I have when I was 21 ? Yep - The 205 GTI 1.9. Loved it. Can't wait for this vid - lets go.
