Thanks for teaching me about the chalkboard. Just took A. Getxo from Spanish 4th league to LA Liga in 3 seasons. Just had a lot of roster turnover after staying up, but will need a lot more at the end of my current season as well
You can also set/use a filter - Copy Of Overview edited for example - to show stats you want to see. Which you used to filter out for the headers won etc. This you can use when viewing players and then arrange them by highest to lowest also. But you actually set and see the Xx/expected of their stats and see if they are performing under or over their expected also :) Hope that makes sense.
Love the moneyball ! I made a lot of filters for the search. It takes time to find the perfect player (i play with hidden attributes) but when you find your man and he is just good in your team, that's pleasant. Can you tell us the "perfect" set up for a save in moneyball ? I never know if i must take a lot of country or just the mine + full of players or a lot of country + full players ? (sorry for my english :D )
Obviously some lower league teams either have no analysts or if they have them they are not good. But, if you have them, it's better than not having them. And I'll be the first to admit I don't use the chalkboard stats nearly enough.
Great video I did know that tip how u do things and I've been playing fm since the day it first came out donkey's years ago thanks for the tip or should I say help thanks
First of all, great video, Moneyball is my favorite way to sign players. I have a question, what a chalkboard parameters can I use if I have to look for a defensive midfielder or a winger? Thanks you!
Defensive midfielder you probably wanted tackles per 90 or percentage of tackles won if you want them to pass like as a DLP you might want to chuck in successful passes per 90 AND pass completion percentage. Winger can be tricky, if you want someone to run down the line and cross, maybe something like dribbles per 90 and successful crosses per 90, maybe also search for their pace and acceleration.
Well Moneyball is using data to find players who are undervalued: in the lower league example finding a free transfer who bags 23 goals is great value, even if he has limited resale potential
@@paulhardy4846 I know it’s stats based but surely you would pick a 25 years old with decent stats in the areas you want rather then a 30 year old with a bit better stats
Oops sorry -- Brentford are very data driven but just signed a 29yo Dane with known health issues on a free because he complements their current squad. You can use data to find older cool heads, good mentors etc, not just bargain youngsters I actually think this example is about using data rather than strictly Moneyball, bur people often wrongly conflate the two
@@paulhardy4846 Brentford signed him for his set peice quality I don’t think he’s going to be playing 15 games until end of the season. Was more on about FM where you can’t tell if a players has a cool head or is a good mentor at 30
I have a question about this. Say I find two players with similar attributes and near enough the same stats chalkboard wise…do I opt for the player playing for the weaker team as they are producing the same numbers but with weaker players around them?
For example let’s say I have two strikers one playing for Ac Milan and one playing for Venezia. Both of them similar attribute wise and producing near enough the same numbers on the chalkboard. Do I opt for the striker who plays at Venezia as he is producing the same numbers but in a weaker team??
To me, I would go for the Venezia guy. As you said he is in a weaker team playing against better team and do it well. I think you shouldn't focus on the team he is playing for, but more on the competition he is playing in.
The club is irrelevant. It was a way to show you how to find players using the chalkboard. A tool that I'd imagine most players don't access. But in reality, if you are getting the perfect player for your team then it would certainly be an improvement.
Those rotating social media handels are so annoying and distracting. Why not in a bar a the buttom of the screen or just at the beginning of the video. This way is not working at all.
BRILLIANT tip from Stinger today, what areas of FM would you like Stinger to do a video on next? Comments below...
Never knew about the chalkboard. Good info Neil, thanks mate.
Cheers for this. I didn’t know about the match 5 out of 8 attributes or even the chalkboard.
This will help me a lot.
Thank you again.

Thats a great video Neil. Although i play the game everyday i have hardly used any of the data features. I will definitely be using chalkboard now
Good vid man, didn’t know about the chalkboard technique, cheers

Did not know about the chalkboard, that is awesome! , thanks
Chalkboard is great, especially when your used to playing with attribute masking.

The chalkboard tip is class
didn't know about this my poor signings got me sacked in the national league so I will take much more care on players in the future.
Great content didn't know about the chalkboard
Dude ur very funny. Doing the donkey work, he is as big as skyscraper. It killed me.
nice video. Thanks from Brazil!
Great info will give it a try
Brilliant 👍👍
I've got a player search view that I put together with chalkboard stats on it, makes browsing by stats even easier.
Can you share this please

@@kiweping5 Thanks😁😁😁 i willy try with that
So if you have player disable attribute masking off (like the deafult) you would recommend using the chalkboard the most out of all options?
any videos on that chalk board for each position?
Wanted to like the video but its on 442 🤣 thanks for the great info 👍
How is signing a 30 year old for £10m moneyball? surely the idea is to get players in using stats that also have good resale value

Will the attributes search work even with attributes masking enabled?
It will work in one way, the players scouted that have those attributes will appear. Those that haven't been scouted will not appear
