It’s too late now for Liberals to replace Trudeau

  • Polls suggest the Tories are just too far ahead for Liberals to avoid a decimation in next year’s election. The prime minister seems defiantly bound to leading his party into 2025, even as his attacks against Tory Leader Pierre Poilievre grow more incoherent, as Chris Selley discusses with Brian this week. The big problem, Chris suspects, is that the Liberals have no better option - no obvious candidate who could outdo Trudeau. Chris and Brian also talk about the Liberals’ denial of a growing sense of Canadian lawlessness - from campus invasions to killers out on bail - and Poilievre’s intriguing and unprecedented promise to use the notwithstanding clause to get tough on crime, if need be. Censorship isn't Canadian either.

If I were Trudeau, I'd be burning hard-drives and looking for a country with no extradition agreement with Canada. He's finally going down, it's just a matter of when and how bad. Praise God!

I understand he already has the place and the villa. I hope I won't be paying for the guards.
Teach your children that they must never, ever elect a Trudeau descendant.

@@d.tr6176exactly I never voted for him but I could tell the first time I heard him speak, he sounded like an immature weasel. I vaguely remember his father, because I was a child at the time. Had I known he was the guy that caused the 20% interest rates in the 80’s I would have been more vocal about him not getting in, but I couldn’t remember what his father was like. I do remember my parents pinching Pennie’s at that time and them worrying about their mortgage (I know now that they ere paying 20% on their mortgage) but never made the connection between that and the government in power at the time. We must remind our children so that doesn’t happen again, EVER.

Can you talk about how 80% of our senators have been appointed by Turdeau? Is there a way to replace them, so we can permanently remove the stain that is Turdeau from our country’s affairs?

People who don’t know anything about politics should not vote. We treat voting like it’s something everyone should do, uhhh no. Maybe everyone should pass an economics test first and they also must be citizens for a certain number of years.

Fellas, PP can't take his foot off the gas if he hopes to force an early election. The pressure MUST be mounted so heavily that he wilts. You also don't think Larry Brock would speak his mind to PP?

You're also putting words in PP mouth, you have no idea what he will do or won't do.
