LILLEY UNLEASHED: Liberals voting against a Bloc motion will not cause an election
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 жов 2024
- Sun political columnist Brian Lilley on the latest in the confidence game happening in Ottawa. Just because the Conservatives voted with the Bloc - it’s not an abandonment of all fiscal principles.
It's one of the few things I agree with the Bloc on. Invest in our own people before foreign countries.
Outlook: Conservative MAJORITY 🎉
Since when do the Liberals worry about cost?
Let’s vote 🎉 ASAP
WE ARE NOT HAPPY CAMPERS, LITERALLY SADLY. WE WANT AN ELECTION, AND NO PENSION FOR THE CORRUPTION AND THOSE WHO SUPPORTED IT.
Dozens of Liberal MP's will lose their pensions if Trudeau does not stay in power till 2025. Bring on the elections please!
That Bloq idea is actually a good move. Instead of giving billions overseas, help our own people right here!
I would take the Bloqs bill even further:
In order to qualify for that 10% bump up from 65 to 74, the senior MUST have lived in Canada 25+ years or more. This ensures that only those that have contributed get this benefit.
The bloc pension bill is only for seniors in Quebec where bloc is from
Very nice presentation of the facts of the situation.
And yet Jagmeet accuses Pierre of making cuts.
“The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits”
Stupid
You can’t fix’s stupid !!
I’m 100 % ready to vote ☑️ asap
I have read C 319 it is a good bill, and an increase to OAS is long overdue. This vote hilights where liberal priorities lie, and it's not with working Canadians. I applaud the Conservatives for recognizing the social and strategic value of their vote
Pierre has check-mated Trudeau into an election and Trudeau thinks he is playing checkers.
Really??? So when is the election?
Chinese!
He ain’t that smart. Sorry
He was a drama teacher
@@len3169it depends on what happens. Trudeau could prorogue, he could call an election himself, or the NDP could vote with the other two. The NDP can't afford to vote against seniors AND to be seen propping up a government that is blatantly corrupt (SDTC scandal).
@@len3169December if the NDP can be convinced to vote with the rest of the opposition. If not there if another chance in Spring 2025
Correction. The bloc has changed the deadline to this friday
Hope so 😊
Yes - as discussed on the Northern Perspective channel. They're very good at explaining exactly what is going on, and ALL the options that are open. Basically the Liberals are checkmated no matter what they do now. Great channel !
Yes, correct. The Bloc changed their timeline to the end of this week since all other government business has been frozen due to the Liberals non-compliance with a Order of the House to hand over all STDC documents (to the RCMP).
@@tomcotter8138 yes the bloc has changed to this friday
@@voiceofreason7856i agree i love Northern Perspective. Everything explained.
100% correct Brian!
Rarely wrong
They have till Friday
With the cost of everything it is today the increase is highly needed no matter what
Saw this coming. Bloc playing both end towards the middle.
Me too.
🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️✌️✌️✌️ Let’s vote!!!! PP4PM & JT4JAIL🍁🇨🇦❤️
The seniors are getting lost in the shenanigans that are going on. For to long those under 75 are being discriminated against and that is what is important.
I am one of those under 75s that is retired. CPP should never be counted on as part of your retirement income. It's a nice to have and don't need nor want it to be increased; we all end up paying for the increase. That said, the Conservatives should vote in favour of this proposal. All it would take is convincing a few of the NDP MPs to go against the party and we get a vote in the spring. Otherwise, we wait until next fall.
Uh the conservatives definitely won’t help you, they’re going to cut all the programs that benefit seniors as always
@danidiaz2377 That's such a lie. Stop watching the cbc. Pierre has never said he was cutting programs or benefits.
@@danidiaz2377does being this stup!d hurt or are you too stup!d to even realize?
@@danidiaz2377liberal robot. Pierre for Pm. Socks for prison.
The lieberals are fine with spending, as long as it doesn’t benefit those they were elected to represent.
what if Gov was about running a Country?
God forbid we give anything to Canadians
The bloc is asking for a pension increase for Quebec only
He would rather just give it to some unknown party overseas with no accountability!
He's happy to give it to his buddies here too, doesn't HAVE to be overseas, just as long as it's his friends that benefit, and as long as nobody can hold him to account.
Lets just have an election on all the issues that are before the house. Let the people decide. And it is more than a little funny to hear the Luberals being fiscally responsible. The only reason we are not having an election is because of ego and greed. IMO
they have given them to the end of fri now
Wait for Question Period, Liberals will PAROGUE PARLIMENT
Very possible, and then they would probably vote for a new leader.
They could afford it if they stopped giving money to Ukraine
I agree with the assessment on Singh. It's not his pension that he cares about, it's the limelight, it's the power. All that goes away the moment an election is called and parliament dissolves.
That and his party is broke AF.
Seems we always have money for other countries
If the Bloc can bring down this Government QUICKLY, I'm buying a Membership, and I'm in Alberta ;)
If we (Albertans) buy a membership in the Bloc, can we vote for Quebec to leave?
@@chrisohara2325 or use their Methods for the betterment of the country ????
Peirre is playing chesss while Truduh is playing checkers . Peirre knows what he’s doing
Nothing on SDTC ?!
Everybody voted for it except the Liberals.
Apparently even a few back-bench liberals voted for it! that says something!
SDTC???
Yes that's the bigger issue. It could also be the thing that forces Singh to side with the other two parties.
There are spending priorities that a conservative government could and should deliver on by cutting massive wasteful spending in other areas. Their job won't be to cut all spending. It'll be to balance the budget, cut waste, fix our broken procurement system, and fund essential services. We need a massive investment in our armed forces and massive cuts to our civilian defense bureaucracy. We also have twice the number of generals we need for the size of our military. Public Works Government Services Canada should have nothing to do with defence or law enforcement procurement.
That's what Polievre keeps saying but lefturds are convinced he's going to cut our supposedly "amazing" social programs lol.
Exactly!
Jaggi wants his pension.
The NDP party is broke and cannot fund an election campaign.
while my mother could use with the money - she wouldn't want to leave this bill to her grandchildren.
What if the leader of the block becomes the Prime Minister?
How much of billions didthey spend on electric vehicle and batteriy plants
We are probably up to $40B+ by now, even though to absolutely nobody's surprise, many electric vehicle operations are cutting back or ceasing. Another costly liberal failure.
yes but the money he saves he can buy more rainbow flags and more pretty socks
The opposition still need some NDP to defeat the government, and Singh won't vote the Liberals down until he gets his pension.
1. Ever see the movie"Dave" when his accountant buddy looks over the government books and says,"If I kept my books like this, I'd be in jail."
2. Jag's really painted himself into a corner. He votes for OAS support, and if he now supports theLie-berals he looks like a hipprocrite. PP can't lose.😊
Don’t forget the billions given to the Phillipenes.
A rounding error interest other debt for 2 weeks.
No but the speaker halting parliment might
I haven't seen a single mainstream publication mention this, and it seems it would be too big to ignore. I also watched the speaker's speech on the subject, and nowhere did he talk about halting parliament, just referring it to committee, so I'm thinking this one is fake news/wishful thinking.
Keep in mind, we have the most biased speaker to ever sit on that chair, I can't see him doing anything against his buddies.
@@Green__oneyou literally can't even find mention of it on Google. I've tried.
Don't forget the NDP literally can't currently afford to go campaigning.
That's not going to change and will probably just get worse for them down the road.
Most of the seniors are imported and never paid a penny to Canada. Handing out pensions to everyone is not fair to someone who contributed to Canada their entire life. I've seen someone at the local park bragging about how he is able to collect pension despite born and worked his entire life somewhere
Nobody puts a penny into Canadian pension Canadian pension currently is a debt that we are paying off, not into
Pensions and benefits aren’t the same. You work to earn a pension you are entitled to a benefit. This is anti immigration nonsense.
@@ThinkingDoesMakeMeImportant You do pay into the Canadian Pension Plan (CPP) the day you start working. It is the Old Age Pension (OAP) that the Bloc wants to raise not the CPP. Yes, you can collect the OAS even if you have never worked a day in your life but the CPP you can only collect if you have paid into it. The CPP is called QPP in Quebec.
@@carolweideman1905 You are misinformed, you do not pay in 2 Canadian pension plan. The current canadian pension plan is a debt that you are paying off, not into
@@carolweideman1905 Fact, the day that the canadian pension plan was invented, there was no investment into it. The government simply retired. Everyone who was currently aged 55 or older and borrowed the money to do so creating a debt every generation. Since then has been paying off the previous generation's debt, not into it

npd has only 250,000$ to campaign
As opposed to Trudeau , Pierre Poilievre is one smart person . A very promising Leader . He will have one hell of a mess to clean up . C A McLean
I am surprised to see Brian still here...I assumed he had left to fight for Israel or Ukraine by now!
Good for Brian ❤ This Canadian 🇨🇦 stands with Israel 🇮🇱 ❤
If Trudeau has an ounce of integrity he’d step down when he gets back from France with his GF Jokie.
If he had an ounce of integrity we'd never have gotten into this mess in the first place!
hey cut the dental and stupid pharamcare BS and then you have lots of cash to up pensions 20% for all
Brian there is a faint noise in the background of your videos now
"now"? his audio has been atrocious for months! it's actually slightly better now, at least it now comes out of both speakers instead of just the left one. I honestly can't understand why someone working for one of the largest media organizations in the country can't get decent audio when every broke youtuber in their garage can figure it out!
Brian, please fix your 🎤 ... It's killing my ears!
Do you not have e volume button?
@MarilynHaley-l8k LOL get your hearing checked, not only is it quiet it's giving off an annoying ringing sound that just gets louder if you turn it up.
I don't hear anything
It's been atrocious for months! at least he finally has it coming out both speakers, but it's still an embarrassment for any professional news organization!
Time for a new mic brian that feed back is getting worse.
🎉🎉Prime Minister Trudeau is absolutely winning. He cares about Canadians. Canada is the #2best country and #3best country for Quality of Life 2023. He helped Canadians with $107 billion CERB & CEWS and $82 billion wage subsidy in Covid-19 pandemic, he shrinked the deficit by 84%between 2020 and 2022.
PMO troll paid with taxpayer dollars.
The most delusional comment I have seen in the past 9 years. Covid garbage payments far exceeded $300B, and so are maybe $10B has been accounted for as appropriate. The deficit has been increasing every year since 2015. You can't exceed the budget by tens or hundreds of billions every year without the debt increasing. We are now at a trillion and a half.
He shrinked it, did he? 🤣
🎉🎉Prime Minister Trudeau is absolutely winning. He has lowered the tax rate for middle class, Canada is the 6th most transparent country, 6th best country for women and comfortable retirement 2023. 750,000 Seniors are enjoying free dental care now, 2milliom seniors booked free dental care. He has increased support for seniors, he has helped seniors with OAS and GIS benefits, he change the retire age from 67 to 65...
Safe supply.
You are living in lala land .they are the worst government ever are you blind.
So why do poll numbers now show the liberals lower than the ndp?
Tax rate for middle class lowered, but then increased taxes idiot. As a lower middle class, I can guarantee you I am a million times worse off than I was before 2015.
Yes and those seniors are lining up at the food banks. Id10t!
I'm a senior but I would prefer an election , as opposed to an increase in my pension
It's all just a few more dollars anyway..
Honestly pension checks are nothing more than for people who are idiotic at not knowing how investments work but that's due to the fact that the education system doesn't teach people about investing taxing and actual needed skills in life.
@bowsette1802 I promise you, you're going to lose your investments soon, ohhhh the irony and timing of your comment. You'll see, those who laugh last laugh the loudest sweet heart.
That's a down right lie!@@bowsette1802
Then you're not a low income senior like me. I cannot survive on OAS & CPP, like thousands of others.
This is exactly what my teachers warned about canada and team up dictator democracy politics. It's not good at all
NO MORE MONEY TO UKRAINE.
God help you help the fucking seniors.
