The soup version just looks so comforting! Can’t pass that one up!!
Puri & Sue, I have been eating Soon Kee Beef Noodles 60 yrs ago when I was a little kid with my parents. We are from Kuantan and whenever my Dad comes over for meetings, it a must we have a meal in Soon Kee. Those early days they operated from the back street. Then they next rented only 1/2 of the top floor. Later I guess they bought over the property and started their business at the ground floor till today. Recall those days my Dad is able to park at the side or the front of the shop. Nowadays I need not have to go down to KL for a fix, I can either pop over at their SEA Park or Kota Damansara outlets. My standard order is medium & dry version and with a bowl of tripes & beef meat & beef balls. A very satisfying meal. Still my best beef noodles in town.
Sue’s expressions never fail to make us laugh! 5:32
Agree hahaha
😂
😂😂😂
Wow the dry beef noodles look so interesting, that’s definitely not what people usually think of when they hear “beef noodles”!
Yea, usually we'll have a picture of beef pho noodles or something similar.

The dry noodle seems like winner for me i think i would eat the dry noodle and give the soup one to Nick 😆
Haha I'll (Puri) have the soup any day.
Looks delicious, now I'm hungry, well done my friend. Thanks for sharing. have a great rest of you day. 👍👍👍😀
Oh the dry beef noodles look so good! That sauce is thick! I appreciate places where they give you soup with your meal lol
Haha I (Puri) always love soup. It can be a side too, doesn't matter 😂
7 RM is quite unbeatable price!! looks so yummy!
It's pretty affordable for a beef noodle in KL
Hey Puri and Sue!!! This is a great looking Beef Noodle shop! It's so fun watching them make the soups! Both variations you got looks really great, and it's so inexpensive!!! Those noodles looked so flavorful. Jelak.. sounds like a food coma!! :) Puri's noodles looked great without a broth!! Thanks for taking us with you and lots of love to you and stay safe!!
Hey guys! We're glad that this restaurant really did lived up to its fame. The quality and flavours were rich and authentic. Jelak was a hard word to explain but yea, food coma sounds like it 😄
Taucu or tauco is sooo good, i missed the flavour
Sue liked it!! Her face and thumbs up say it all! Hahaha
😂
I literally just watched your video after eating Taiwanese noodles and I got hungry again from seeing the beef noodles 😅
Lol 😂
Another epic day of eating!
Love it. More to come 😉
Yes meal with Greg and Jumi
Those places that you sooo wanna go but it's hard to make your way there... And then it happens and it's the best day ever lol we know the feeling
Love that feeling. That sense of accomplishment is unreal haha
Wow your beef noodles look amazing and both of them look completely different one in the broth one fried out of the broth they have so many different kinds of cuts and sections of the beef in each bowl amazing
Thanks, Jeff! We love how long they've been making and perfecting this dish. The result really shows in the flavours and quality of the dish 😍
Yum those beef noodle soup looks great! I'm a huge egg noodle guy...grew up on it!! Loving those nice firm bouncy meatballs
I (Puri) am starting to discover more dishes that uses the egg noodles. It always seem to transform the dishes due to its distinct flavours
rich beef broth...hmmmm 🤤🤤🤤
Both options look delicious. We don't eat dry noodles as frequently, going to keep this in mind!
It's always nice to try out both options if we get the chance. Most of the time it tastes very different 😄
Window shopping for us hahaha
Same, we are the same
Gotta try them all right? 😂
That beef soup..the broth is so clear..chef a great cook..I love dry noodles..pack loaded w flavor..add some soup into the dry noodle to create a wetter sauce make it eating easier
Sue would definitely agree with you on that 😍👍 I (Puri) have always loved soup haha. And i think it's probably harder to get the soup right
Yummy looks good sissy i love the noodles
So yums!!
Those are some noodle cooking skills. I feel your pain when it comes to parking. That can happen around here too. Oh, I see food and footprints! Love firm noodles like those. Do you guys always finish the broth or just focus on eating the noodles and the meat? Whoa, we would have Puri's!!!! Love that saucy meat on top.
I (Puri) would usually finish up the soup haha. Especially if it's tasty like this bowl. Yea, the city is so dense and parking is always an issue here. Glad we took public transport for this 😄👍
Oh, its your first visit. didn't know, this place sells porridge at night, taste just as good, they have chicken, pork and or mixed inerts, and ofcourse the fish. do give them a try if you happen to be there at night
Thanks for the tip, Ivan! We'll definitely check out the porridge next time too 😍 Sounds delicious 😄
Such a perfect noodle lift! 🍜💪🏼
😍
The best option is to have them both!!!
Yups! Can never go wrong with that 😍
VEGGIE FOR DECOR 🐒 GOLD COMMENT 😂
Makes it colourful i guess 😂
Jelak - a new word for us!
It's so hard to define the word. There's quite a number of malay words that english doesn't have
My absolute favorite Beef Noodles joint... usually go to their branch at Lot 10 Hutong though as it's more convenient for me.
Nice! Didn't know they have branches too. That's awesome!
We get "jelak" new word to my dictionary ☺️☺️☺️
Very useful in Malaysia 😂 (i think)
OMG yeah! Let's go here too please! This dry noodle looks really good, the sauce the noodle ooooo wow exquisite 😍 75 years of gold standard noodles 🤤 think yen would go for the soup version but no hairy ones or stomach hahaha
Ofcourse, you guys have to try this place. Hairy innards haha
Beef noods 🍜
This is the first time we saw beef noodle with tauchu sauce! 😍
We love tauchu (we call it tauco in Indonesia)!
We maybe prefer the dry noodle more! The noodle looks amazing and chewy, our favourite type of noodle 😍
It's a spectacular comfort food. The dried noodles does have a richer sauce and can definitely taste that tauchu for sure
I can't decide which one I would like more the dry noodle or the soup. I usually prefer my noodles dry but the soup just looks so comforting 😃
Know that Puri is more into the innards. Can tell from Sue’s reaction too 😂
Hahahaha innards are the best! Yo what's your favorite part of the cow?
Peter and Yen For innards, probably the heart. Those Peruvian beef hearts (anticuchos) are phenomenal!
Haha I'm (Puri) the innards guy. Sue usually gives me her share of it. My favourite would be tripe, especially if it's skewered on a satay stick
Wish i can back to KL soon, there are so many delicious food that I really want to eat, include this tasty beef noodle..
Yea, we wish everything gets back to normal and we can all start to travel again 😄🎉
So tempting with both dry and soup one, remind us of Taiwan so much! Tauco? used to eat it with Swikee haha.
Oo we've never tried Swikee before. But if it has tauco, it's gotta be good haha
and yes love the stomach part, always great to be put in noodle soup :)
Definitely my (Puri) highlight of all the beef parts in that bowl
that's quite big though for small portions. ahh miss dine in at this kinda restaurants, remind us of home!
There's always the option to go big. But most if the time, small isn't quite small enough haha
To be honest the word jelak never really use in Malaysia, i think Singaporean use it. The word my Malay friends use is 'muak'.
We both grew up with 'jelak'. Our friends, family and neighbors use it all the time.
"Beef ball." Is that ground beef inside a pasta shell? Thx.
what was Greg explaining? 00:52
Can't remember what was it about haha 😅
But the next Episode is about breakfast, right?
Maybe haha 😉 Stay tuned
Dry one would be better for me
That's my favourite too! 😁 -Sue
Look at that!! NOOOOODLES!!!
Dont zoom ur face bro ...
