I don’t think the people are throwing cold water on the healthcare system, if this system takes care of the Caribbean it needs to be better. There is also something about accountability. When a person in charge is asked about the system, he or she needs to give correct information. I have been in the system for over 29 years and so I am speaking with experience. Compared to the past, things have deteriorated and so the people are expecting better based on current improvements in technology, education, amongst other things. The building of the hospital is a great achievement, however, give the people honest answers when questions are asked
The Chinese offered the hospital to Jamaica, and Portia Simpson signed off on it, but presently the Andrew Holness Government have contributed part if the fund to build it, so yes, Portia is apart of the development and she need to be lauded for what she did, but we know that the idea was not hers.
@mr vegas the amount of money that was allocated to complete the hospital can’t be accounted for the project should have been completed…. Stop watch where the building reach and understand that it’s costing taxpayers 3x what it should have cost to do the actual job. That project should have been completed years ago.
So what about inflation, everyday things inflated,I'm a contractor in the Bahamas,whenever we give a quote we have to think about inflation, all when we think about inflation prices still balloon. Stop spreading misinformation if you don't understand a process!
Only a contractor would understand,if you give a quote,for example, $10,000 to build a home by the that house finished is $20,000.People,inflation is real and it's all over the world
@trever7475. If there is corruption why don't the opposition ask the auditor general to conduct a forensic audit as they have power under the constitution. The opposition knows it has this authority and instead of flinging mud for political purposes then they should do there job. Instead of repeating like a parrot and thinking independently you are echoing the PNP lines
