Every time I see Danny Carey I’m like holy shit it’s Danny Carey.
haHAhaha. AWESOME COMMENT. totally the same way here.
I read this in the “OMG it’s Jason Bourne!” Sound Font.
Frfr!
More like Danny Fucking Carey !
Yes im addicted to lateralus and aenima for life.
Primus + Tool playing King Crimson = OMG
I’m so insanely infuriated that I couldn’t attend this show
Better, more modern version
This is not OMG...that must be some Lu Cifer fingers put in this creation...;)
MeToo!
A treble of the first bands I tripped to. Tool, King Crimson and Primus. Circa 1994.🤪🤘🏻
This is like the closest thing to an 90s alternative rock avengers supergroup.
You’re so right 😂
More like DC Superfriends
saw les with the frog brigade in the early 2000's was good but liked seeing Primus at Lollapalooza in 94 better.
Not complete without the “vedder”
Nah, More like the X-Men really.
Omg Les and Justin playing bass together. Two of my favorite bass players
Danny and Herb...
Ler and Troy...
Omfg.........
And they way they looked at each other all night too. It was special.
Truly epic
I was in front of them, sheer eargasm experience while the bass rumbling punches ya in the face! Will never forget the experience and got a Seagullmen shirt during intermission from Jimmy that we did the concert benefit for! A night I definitely won’t forget
Literally the two bass players that inspired me to play bass. Amazing!
Not to mention Troy Van Leeuwen! (QOTSA, Gone is Gone, Perfect Circle, etc)
We just need to hear Tool cover Southbound pachyderm now..
MJK already ate the elephant with APC.
nah. they’ll just do it better and make me hate the original.
see: No Quarter
@@SpecialistGuava are u really comparing Robert Plant's vocals with MJK using a megaphone? WTF 😂
So glad Tim “the ginseng drummer” Alexander is back with Primus! One of the greatest drummers ever and sounds incredible
Sure does
Can’t agree more. One of my favorites. Unmistakable feel.
Yeah its just not Primus without Tim.
Jay Lane is awesome but its a different style, there's stuff missing when its not Tim.
I do enjoy Jay's little wood block and cowbell stuff. It has its place. And Brain beats the hell out of a drumset but Tim is next level.
*Tim has been back since around 2013'ish......... Having the original lineup IS pretty fucking epic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!* 🧇
@@Pobodies_Nerfect oh yeah. My friends and I went to Rothbury 2008 pretty much just to see Primus. We ho-hummed on going til they were announced. We all thought we would never get another chance to see them.
I have seen Primus like 30 times since. 🤣
How did that stage sustain the sheer creative weight of Talent!?!?
Let's hear it for the stage !
Let’s just say… it barely did.
Im suprised the camera didnt explode🧐
I'm the goods. 🤣
Maybe it is the same stage that Rush used to use and it is used to it?
Even the security guard in the middle knew he was witnessing god-tier musicianship, even if he couldn't turn and look. :)
I think he is the unsung hero of this show.
Dude was Jamming!!!
@@Christianharold2 those guys rock af, during the show they handed out water to us
😆the dude is vibin!
I saw him jammin too that was cool

You are my hero!! Cant wait to hear the HD version off my phone!!!!!
Thank you for recording and posting such an epic performance!!!
Bloody hell, what an absolute treat! Primus and Tool, my 2 all-time favorite bands; and Tim and Danny, my 2 favorite drummers since the early 90s, each a maestro of percussion. Frontotemporal dementia is slowly robbing my memory, but this just brought back a hella goddamned good one to when I was a wee 23 yr-old stud-bull rootin n’ sniffin and urging to learn as a UNC undergrad, seeing them at the 1993 Lollapalooza at Walnut Creek Amphitheater in Raleigh. You have my sincere thanks, good human, whoever you are, for capturing and posting this, and bringing a tear of joy to an ailing chap. Merci
Bumping this so you can remember.
Happy to see Troy randomly there! Love that guy.
Same! He jams. Saw him with Failure back in the day.
big security guard singing along on whole lotta rosie made me happy. Thanks for uploading this. I wish I could have gone. Two favorite bands right here :)
Very rare
Hell yeah dude was diggin it. Looked like he was enjoying the music unlike the two other dudes just collecting a paycheck
😮
I came home early, and caught my drum kit wacking to this video!
This concert is so amazing, I never thought Tool and Primus would team up like this. They're my 2 favorite bands of all time. This performance actually made me sad about the lack of genius artists in our culture today. Everything in pop culture today is based on mimicry and very simple formulas for producing the same exact sound over and over. I'm worried that we'll never see this kind of original and powerful technique again.
From the quad cities?
Truly original bands are out there, just keep your ears and heart open to everything
Exit mainstream highway
Everything comes back around.....
My uncle said that in 10 years the kids won't know the difference between real music and AI music.
He's probably right and it is sad.
This is such a treat for us bass players. Getting to see, hear and appreciate those COLOSSAL bass tones playing at the same time.
I mean, the gnarly Claypool tone when he strums the strings and the sharp trebly pick tone from Justin. Just wow.
Totally agree my friend..it almost blew my brains out if my ears
I wanna hear a studio recording of Justin and claypool on the same song, holy shit that would be great
@@parkerjb23 that would be almost better than any classic composition out there!!!
41:21 Even security guard was clapping.. that was a dope jam
I can’t believe this is a real show. Thank you very much for capturing it.
Primus AND Tool?? Did not know this was happening. This is so great that it could stop climate change. 😮
I flew to LA from Idaho to see this. It was sick. So fun seeing my favorite mix of musicians. Great cause, thank you.
Now that's freedom. Awesome 👍
Primus and TOOL together? Did I just wake up back in the 90s? :D
I was totally confused too😂
Right💕
Thank you to whoever filmed this!! Thank you so much!
I'm astonished that bands like Primus, RHCP, Fishbone, and Suicidal have lasted 40 some odd years since I first saw them in the early to mid 80s.
We taught our kids right lol
+ Overkill
Let’s be honest, it’s astonishing some of us have lasted 40 yrs to witness it too!
This is, without a doubt, one of the greatest things I have ever seen! Thank you so very much.
Dean Delray killed it on Whole Lotta Rosie!
So glad I got to be there for this show. This and the South Park red rock shows were both the most unique shows I've got to be a part of.
Cool to see Troy in the mix here
Less and Justin - that's exactly the correct amount of bass needed!!!
Fricking awesome
It's so strange seeing Danny play in straight 4/4
And on such a basic kit
'Here Come the Bastards' is in 5/4 ;)
a few tool songs are in 4/4
No it's not...
Thank you for capturing the whole show! Carey and Alexander are my two, living drumming gods.
Holy shit that drum battle was one for the ages. WOW!!!!
What an incredible scene. Two incredible drummers. One humbly taking queues off another master in real time. Amazing.
Thank you for posting the full performance! It’s appreciated!
Just realized as I was watching this I saw Tool and Primus at my first concert Lollapalooza 93. Seems like ages ago.
I'm going to make another account just so I can give this performance a second like, one for each band. I wish I could've been there.
Love how Danny is beaming the whole way through and Herb is just there and looks at him once or twice a song.
I'm still processing the level of spiral suck this was for me. My two favorite bands doing pure mayhem. I'm so happy someone recorded this. Thank you.
Right there with ya. I always miss out.
That groove in Too Many Puppies........BADASS!!!!!!!!!!!!
So strange to see Les on vocals without a bass!
Amazing show. Supernatural musicians having fun and a very enthusiastic crowd. Easily one of my top five shows.
Could watch Tim and Danny play together for hours on end. Both just killers of their craft. Something can be said about Neil Peart being a huge influence to them both.
for sure. bill bruford's another big influence on both of them
This show wasn’t on their website! And it was in LA 2023!? How could I miss this.
I will never forget seeing les claypool play two different bass lines at the same time , singing , and dancing around the stage like a good ball!
Them covering AC/DC is the best damn thing ever🤘🏼❤️
that singer was really awesome
Primus & Tool?! Two of my all time favorites!🔥🤘💯
And Troy Van Leewen from QOTSA! Crazy meetings 🤯
Need a high quality sound mix of this on a blu-ray!
THIS IS PRETTY FKN BAD ASS! I SAW PRIMUS DO FAREWELL TO KINGS IN FALL OF 2021...THAT WAS GREAT ALSO!
Unbelievable show! I just flew from Canada for this'd would do so 100 more times!
Heading down to Tennessee in a few days to see Primus, A Perfect Circle, and Pusifer! Can't wait!
Whole Lotta Rosie=Tears of Rock&Roll Joy!!!🤩😎😍
Herb is such an awesome drummer, his creative finesse is so brilliant …Always been one of my favorite drummers…oh and Danny Carey is pretty good too…also he’s wearing a sweet shirt 😂
Was there last night, thanks for uploading the entire set♥
Lucky!!!
Me too and this is recorded not too far from where I was sitting so it is special to have this.
Two of my all time favourite drummers on one stage. Amazing.
Troy! 🙌🏻
Haha! Danny's shirt... yeah! 😎🤘🍻
Danny and Herbs syncopation is phenomenonal!
Herb the ginseng drummer.
Syncopation?
it was beautiful to watch
*NSYNC 😂
Yeah,bitchen how Danny was mirroring Herb.....fucking skills man,most enjoyable set.....devil horns up !🤘. ✌️
I live down the street from the venue. Been a fan of both band since the 20th century. I'm really grumpy now that I know I missed this.
Totally understandable. Missed concert regrets are the absolute worst...im sorry for all of us, but super happy it was recorded and posted
Good lord, I hope someone recorded a board mix of this. Gimme gimme.
Yesterday was one of the few times I wished I still lived in CA or in a close neighboring state, so I could've tried for tickets for this. My two favorite bass players and drummers. I love that they did Those Damned Blue Collar Tweakers. 🔥🤘
man, you can tell they are having a lot of fun ! tasty jams. Les is a pure showman.. he got the moves
What an awesome find! Thank you uploader; you've given me a reason to groove on this otherwise uneventful Sunday!
Forgot to add I've liked and of course, subbed!
Thank you!
Herb and Danny are in my top 5 rock drummers of all time. This is sick.
Thank you veery much.
amazing,. thank you for sharing
That rug ties the whole room together.
This makes my eyes hurt.... I keep trying to look at everyone all at once....doing amazing things... Love it..
Just watch it multiple times (:
😂
so much talent on one stage
The people who got to witness this ....I'm not worthy!!!!
One of my favorite bands just showed another of my favs how to play their songs, live in front of an audience. Epic. King Crimson would be proud methinks.
And Troy! He's awesome ❤
I wouldn't say he's a genius but pretty close 😂
Man I wish I could have been at this show but I live way the hell in a Northern Chicago suburb. What a mashup of amazing musicians!
My two favorite bands playing together.... man what a dream concert. Danny vs. Herb was a duel for the ages.
Every time I see Tim Alexander, I'm like holy s***That's herb the ginseng drummer. Absolute beast every time never fails.. he just got off the incredible tribute tour with Primus. Doing the complete, "farewell to king's" rush album. Such a brilliant drummer. This was a primus show & friends and I'm sure Tim was quite worn out. But he still play that drum solo everybody's good as danny did. Certainly my two favorite drummers from the nineties. But i've got a special place in my heart for tim alexander. Frizzle fry change my life As a drummer. And I was fortunate enough to see them during that tour at tips in new orleans in 91. And I saw them for their next album in 92, Open up for rush; sailing the seas of cheese and roll the bones Tours. Along with the red rose it the greatest show i've ever seen.
Ler seems to be enjoying himself haha
Really glad Dean Delray gets to be part of this. Great dude
That was way more grateful dead jam than you thought with an extra dose of heavy. They brought it. Even got some Drums>space vibes
Wouldn't let me give 2 thumbs up so here ya go... 👍🏼👍🏼
I look away and when I looked back Danny Carey was sitting on the drums. What a pleasant surprise!
Thanks for posting this. It made my day better 😊
I would really love to hear tool cover Southbound Pachyderm
THANK UUUUUU🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much for recording this!
My 2 biggest bass inspirations together on a stage?!
I hope i wont wake up
21:06 have to get Danny’s shirt now after reading it 😂
No comments...just reveration. 🤩❤️🔥🙏🏽
Omfg literally my 2 favorite bands
I was there, such a fantastic show. It’s very funny that during My name is Mud when Les yelled “Huh!” Some guy just charged to the other side and started a pit lol
Adding Troy, Danny & Justin to the mix works too well!
I see you security rocking out to greatness 😂😂 This is so FN AWESOME 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Primus and most of Tool covering King Crimson and improving together is better than you would even expect. Sheesh.
And both bands owe much of their sound to King Crimson.
well, if my name aint Thela Hun Ginjeet, i'd still say that was a mighty fine show.
I love this! It would be very interesting if Les played the Bass on AEnima.....
So rad. Thanks for recording and sharing.
What a freakin treat this was! A legendary gathering indeed.
This is the best band I've ever seen.
Thank You so much for sharing this, it made my day❤
It was an amazing show that’ll I’ll never forget. Especially the way how Les and Justin looks at each other for cueing excitement. Was in front of them and hearing those two gives ya a rumbling punch on the face!
Thank you for this…… you’ve done the lords work on this one
Omg!!!! Tool and Primus on the same stage is pure awesomeness🤘then (for myself) Les Claypool the man unlike no other being the man Primus Sucks people love 😎
Les and Justin having an absolute blast playing together, i love it.
