    Another good video!
    I have two comments:
1.) Tools: It's a good idea to take tools that are needed for your bike to so maintenance (depending on the length ot the trip of course). Even though you might not be able to it yourself, there are many people who will be willing to help you, but they might have not the right tools you need e.g. a Spanner in size 11mm
2.) Mobile: I use my mobile for everything as well, but depending on where you go and what you do, you should consider taking a second phone or a "proper" SatNav. The reason for this is, that if you come off your bike (especially off-road) and can't reach the phone on your bike (you're trapped under the bike or you can't get to your bike), you're screwed.
You should always have a phone on your person
    Grüße aus Hannover!

Nice vid! I just took my Africa Twin to Croatia (from Hamburg) returning via Italy (Bozen). The long highway stretch is not really fun. The on- and off-road sections in Croatia were worth the hassle though ;-) I did bring the full camping gear which was a mistake. As I did find cheap accommodation in the off season, I could have saved a lot of weight. My advice, just do it. The biggest mistake is to stay at home.

Even when I don't plan to go camping I sometimes carry a tent. The added security of portable home, if something brakes down and you have to spent the night in the middle of nowhere, is quite calming. Plus if all the accomodation is full or too expensive, you have a free option. I am sometimes surprised about the prices and had to ride 2 more hours to a better (aka cheaper) option. Because usually I don't plan much ahead and booking a room like 2 hours prior, sometimes even less. Cannot imagine booking a room in the morning or lunch time, not knowing whether I get there or if I'm in a mood to ride longer.

@@FreeMilesMC I did the first two stages of the ACT (AdventureCountryTracks) starting in Pula and parts of the 3rd stage, the Mali Alan pass (Winnetou Country) which is beautiful. You can find many other legal off road tracks. Opposed to Germany, wherever there is no barrier or sign, you can assume it is ok to go.

    Quite an excellent video.
A piece of advice my grandfather left: Before your first big trip, spend a whole day just riding around your kreis (or equivalent administrative territory) while trying not to use the same roads twice. This will, in fairly safe conditions, show you if you're able to ride throughout the day on various kinds of roads, and, most crucially, if you actually like it.
Also, from my own experiance- if you only have a leather jacket and you're traveling in the summer- do pack up a light cloth shirt (like an ice hockey jersey) to wear over your jacket when riding in full sun for longer periods.

It’s good and important that I included it in the video. I have heard many stories of people messing that one up and it’s a piece of advise that barely anyone gives.

This is a really nice channel. I like the focus on the trips and the motorcycle use rather than just the motorcycle itself. Motorcycling don't have to be just about big power and the latest tech. It is a wonderful kind of travel and can be experienced with modest gear as well as more expensive stuff.

I really wish i didnt see the 2000 other "how to mc travel" before this 1. Every single video is some dude with expencive gear saying "you can buy a cheaper tent, i wont but you should"
Going to morocco and iceland with your gear, and test bike really makes every other "this is how you mc travel" irrelevant
Great videos, im looking forward to the next big trip

I talked to a friend from germany and he told me that indeed almost nobody has air conditioning in their house. Why is that? In my country (romania) almost everyone has it, a full kit with installation is like 300-400 eur and can work for 20 years, especially in summer when it gets to 35-40c its unbearable, its amazing to have 23-24 dry air inside at all times... consumes very little electricity also, like 15-20 euro/month to keep it working non-stop, its the best luxury of life, i wonder why other europeans dont get it.
