Supertramp Rocks Great Choice reminds me of when I was a kid going roller skating 🤔🤓
For anyone curious about the meaning of the song. This song tells a story about a person who thinks they are the center of the universe. Playing these massive show and having people adore you, to then going home and realizing all your personal relationships have suffered. Taking the long way home is a way of coping because coming home to the reality that you aren't the center of the universe is a hard pill to swallow. The end of the song says:
"When your day comes to settle down, who's to blame if they're not around. You took the long way home."
He's realizing that he hasn't had his priorities straight and wishes he had more time to figure it all out.

In 1979 I left my high school graduation party early to go see them at Alpine VALLEY in East Troy Wisconsin. Absolutely fantastic and my all time favorite band.
