Hey so I actually just got capped at UT and plan on majoring in comp science , I got accepted to Texas A+M but I really wanted to go to UT. Do you think it’ll be good if I apply to UT after my freshman year at A+M? Or do the cap program
Doing the cap program won't help you for anything other than liberal arts. Go to A&m and apply as a transfer, but you should understand that your odds are low since CS is so competitive
I would recommend going to A&M since their CS program is better than any of the cap schools. You're only guaranteed liberal arts for UT if you go thru cap - so if you don't mind not studying CS then you can definitely go to UT and pursue a degree in liberal arts. CS is difficult to get into for UT external transfers, so I think you should commit to A&M regardless with the intention of graduating from there but still apply for fall transfer to UT, and definitely appeal ur decision if it doesn't go your way the first time. I got in for transfer for Fall 2023 (biology, CNS) after appealing, so I did get a little lucky. Good luck!
Great question and I should've further touched on this in my video. I had a total of 83 credit hours combined after my first year of attending a University. However only 48 credit hours were accepted by UT. The remaining 35 hours included: all the pre-recs for calculus (college alg, trig, precal), passed CLEP credits and a couple other classes not pertaining to UTs curriculum.
@@JonSantibanez ah, gotcha. i actually live in san marcos and go to txst right now. i’m trying to transfer into mccombs for fall 2021. i think what has me most scared is the fact that if i were to transfer in, i’d have around 88 college credits, but 30 of those are from AP classes in high school. if cns accepted you with 83 hours, hopefully mccombs will consider me even though i’m barely below the 90 hour threshold where applicants can’t transfer.
I got a question about rib flare. I’’m a pretty good athlete and I’ve been going to the gym consistently for a while now my ribs stick oht a little bit and it’s uncomfortable when I don’t flex my stomach. When I flex my stomach my body looks good and my ribs don’t stick out. Also when I eat my stomach will stick out and my ribs will stick oht more after wards. Did that happen to you ?
i’m at ut right now & it’s so cool to hear about your journey , congrats !!
thank uu

Wow Congrats! Can you recommend several community college for transferring UT Austin?
What did you transfer into?
Congrats bro, what major did you first apply for during freshmen admissions?
wait, how many credit hours did you have altogether when you were accepted?

No man. I never felt uncomfortable when I wasn't flexing my stomach due to my ribs. If you are ever experiencing pain go see a doctor ASAP
Did you apply again after 1 or 2 years at TXST?
I applied after 1 year at Texas State
Cool
thank you
