Could you maybe try this line with a “trilene knot”? With 8 wraps vs the 5 wraps that Berkeley recommends for this line, or maybe you could try doing multiple tests with differing numbers of wraps (I.e. like 5 wraps through 8 wraps maybe). I use 8lb nanofil with the trilene knot with 8 wraps with great success and I’m just curious.
I use it for Lite spinning rod, all the reviews on it are very divided but I can tell you one very important thing, if the tying is correct it is the most amazing line you have seen, I do a long fg, the test of my line is 5.25 kg I tested it with a weight of 4 kg and it worked . All in all, you must use leader with nanofil the Diameter relative to power is incredible, it is so thin that the casts are huge.
@@cheapcopy1 Awesome to know. Thank you. I mostly fish sufix 832, but I am always up to try something different in my pursuit to have my tackle locked down 100%. I guess I better buy some and experiment a bit.
You've got a lot of useful information, but your presentation is not so great. How about some charts, graphs, shots of you using your test apparatus, something? Thanks for posting.
Thank you.
Just seen Berkeley made a Unipolomer knot that's specif for that line.
Unifiloment knot looks like it is called its a interesting knot

I wonder how the FG knot would perform on this line. Seems like an interesting line at first glance, but the knot limitations are unexpected.

Always wet the Palomar knot
Why is 17 pound nanofil 40 pounds?
because it will stretch, just like flourocarbon still stretches.
