Extra safety precautions are never a bad thing... as I mentioned in the video, after dropping the car on the stands I would also try and shake/push the car ligtly from different corners to make sure it's secure and not going anywhere.
Lol so i used that rear lift point, looked a little rusted, heard a crack, and now there's a whole. Maybe I'll just buy a new car. Not to deter others, this is the correct way.

Nice but I thought you were going to show the front and back lift.
I would drop it down on the Jack stands, but also put the Jack back under or another scissor jack etc. To help assist in holding it steady

Does the 2014 model have the same jack stand brackets or are they different on the 2014 model
I believe the jack stand brackets should be the same on all 2nd generation Honda Pilots, including 2014.
