I bought these. Great idea only. They worked. Unfortunately my plain end clams that came with my Central Machinery scroll saw from HF quit holding my plain end blades. However i was blessed with a wonderful Christmas gift of a 22" Bauer scroll saw from HF. I absolutely love it. No more hokey plain end clamps to waste time with. Frett work goes supper fast now. It also means i no longer need to use these clamp clip holders from Stockroom Supply. $22.99 and free shipping was the price. so if your stuck using the crappy plain end clamps invest in these clamp clips they do help aid in holding that bottem clamp. PS I did find out that when i bought them from StockRoom Supply even though it says USD my bank charged me for international transaction. So keep that in mind. Thanks guys for this tip. It was helpful for the few cuts i got to use them for. Even more thankful for my Bauer scroll saw🎉
This special blade clip is a fanatstic aid to quickly changing pinless blades on the Rikon scroll saw. I love mine and highly recommend this creative and innovative product made by Stockroom Supply.
Wow, this is genius! Thank you for making it...this issue was why I was hesitate to buy a scroll saw and I was considering a band saw just for this reason. Thank you, it was a well presented video! I’m just a crafter and like things easy and simple! This was!
You talk about the bottom but you do not explain about installing the bottom part. I have an old Ryobi that enables me to do small work. I would love to be able to change blade faster.
I agree; there is little room on the bottom clamp holder, not to mention it is upside down, making it difficult to see the top of the Allen screw that would have to be removed to attach your product. Please address this problem.
Just purchased one of these. The top portion of this system installed easily (like the video shows). However, the bottom part did not. In fact, I could not install it at all. I now understand why that part of the installation is not in the video. The instruction sheet photos show very little detail -- they are small (look like JPEGs printed with an ink jet printer) and practically useless. So, I wouldn't recommend. But, who knows? It may work for you. My saw is a Skil 16-inch that looks like just about every other 16-inch scroll saw in the world. Probably made by the same manufacturer - just minor cosmetic differences.
Hey guys have you considered replacing one of the grub screws with the same knob on the bottom as well as the top? I got one of these a couple weeks ago and it’s a huge improvement, but toolless blade changes would be even better
Im the same, my wife bought me a Vonhaus scroll saw for Christmas that has the same pinless blade connection and so far I havent managed to successfully fit a pinless blade. This looks like the perfect solution. Can we get these in the UK
A few questions Will it work on a Ryobi? Looks similar Would you ship internationally, for a fee of course? To NZ specifically Why do you keep the foot on?
hi, im restoring some old alloy wheels, they are aluminium and due to the details in the wheel style its taking forever to remove the paint and lacker to prep for painting, how could I do it at home without spending the next 3 weeks sanding by hand? will a sanding mop attached to my drill work?
The top clamping mechanism which uses the thumb screw to hold the blade is very convenient for the top clamp, but it looks as though the bottom clamp is tightened using an allen/hex wrench. This can be very awkward when changing blades, as with DIY-store scroll saws often have a metal cover has to be removed to make it accessible, and the limited space available makes it difficult to hold the blade in position while tightening the allen screw to fasten the blade in the clamping mechanism. Also, clamping mechanisms that squeeze the blade between its two halves have to be pushed apart when changing blades in order to be able to insert the blade. Due to these problems, I returned my to the DIY-store where I bought it. The clamping mechanism shown here in my view is an improvement on cheap clamping systems, but when it is compared to others like the Pégas or Hegner clamping systems, it is still well behind in terms of ease to use. I don’t understand why DIY-store scroll saw manufacturers don’t supply their customers with scroll saws that have user-friendly clamping mechanisms.🤷🏼♂️😳☹️ The problem that hobby scrollers are faced with is that DIY-store scroll saws cost about $100, whereas scroll saws from e.g. Hegner, Pégas or Excalibur cost from $600 to $1000 and beyond..
Ha ha I'm sure you are trying very hard to switch blades haha Seriously, why don't you use magnets on the bottom? Anyway, If this works on Ryobi 16 in scroll saw, then I'm sold!

We are all just crafters! :) I bet your work is amazing.
Put a small magnet on the bottom clamp,it won’t fall off then
Looks great solution! How do you change the scrollsaw blade, say if the blade was worn or snapped? Concern with the bottom feed!
Old video - but the link is still working - I placed an order (for my Wen scroll saw) - we'll see what happens! Looks like a real problem solver!
