Bought my first Milwaukee tool last year, it was the M12 hatchet, been very impressed! As a self-employed gardener, who's not getting any younger, I wanted something to replace my loppers. The hatchet has proved to be excellent!!

Now you can always add to your M12 tools since you have a battery and charger. Thank hatchet is handy. Thanks for watching!

I think the M12 Fuel oscillating tool is the one that has always come out on top when I need something nothing else can do. I probably use my M12 impact driver more, but I have other tools that can replace in driver in a pinch. When I need something plunge cut at a really weird angle, or something sanded at a strange angle, the oscillating tool does an amazing job that my other tools can't do.

That’s a good point. Same here, I have other impacts. Thanks for watching! 👍

Awesome. I got a deal on the M18 Hackzall ...Had to do it ! I like that M12 surge though !

Amen on the M12 surge. Had the M18, but got two stolen. Could only afford the M12. Best choice. All day and less fatigue. Had the M12 installer, but that was also stolen. Would buy that one also. But the surge is more versatile. Wish a trilight version came out Hope the new light weight rotary hammer comes out soon. Saving for that one.

That’s good feedback. A trilight would be nice. Thanks for watching!

I got the installation driver. Tired of rounding off the screws, needed something light. and it was on sale. Probably give it to my dad soon. His favorite Makita's impact he's been using has no settings, it's all variable speed. LOL

Both are great. The m12 is packed with power for its size. Comes down to the size you prefer/need. Thanks for the feedback.

M18 hackzall I would argue is better since the stroke is so short on the M12. Especially if used for wood

That's a good point, I had focused on blade length. Thanks for watching!

I buy M12 for its compact size and M18 for power. The hackzall is designed to be compact and 1 handed. M12 hackzall stroke is only 3/8 less than the M18, and paired with a 2.5 HO battery makes a huge difference in confined spaces. If accessibility isn't a factor, I'm reaching for the super sawzall.

I used the m12 non fuel tiny hackzall for moose bones and it worked great. I hear the fuel version has more power and uses less battery so it might be better. But I like it for compact travel hunting kits.
