I was just wondering if CD300 Turbo is superior to other non-Continental engines. I really like the DA50 RG but are two Aestro motors safer than one CD300?

Estes aviões da Diamond me fascinam!
The Chinese owner produces millions of vehicle wheels and rims annually and is the OEM for many automakers worldwide. I would suggest you throw your car's wheels away if you really don't like the Chinese owner and maybe throw your wife's car's wheels or even your parents' because those wheels probably came from that Chinese owner. Be a grown-up, don't say things that are stupid.
The DA62 isn't too costly if you think all the features it has. And it comes with 2 engines just in case. :) DA42 is the top for those who can't afford 1.2M+, it has also low maintenance and consumption.
BEAUTYFUL AND THE RANGE IS GREAT 4 PASSANGER BUT A BIT UNDERPOWERED , LANCEAIR OR GLASAIR ARE FLYING AT 300MPH EVEN AN OLD MOONEY FLYS OVER 200MPH TRIPS IN THESE SMALL FIBERGLASS ROCKETS SHOULD QUICK.
My comment is for all of them. Too damn expensive and China holdings. Never going to get one now even if I ever get the money for one. I get afford aviation anymore.
@@5CGQ Its got 7 seats and 2 engines. The model numbers do not correlate exactly. The zero means single engine and the 2 means twin engine. The first digit is the sequence in the range starting with 4. So DA40 is the start of the range and has a single engine and DA62 is the top of the range and has 2 engines.
Rating all models of diamond : I have worked on da 40 all the way to 62 and I got to say innovation wise they are there new technology they are there but in my opinion they are aircraft that are too expensive for what they offer . First no one bigger than 5'7 can sit comfortably in any model . Second , as far as durability and maintenance these planes have to be extensively inspected where no diamond service center has a good maintenance team that practices good maintenance that is why I left and I choose not to work these airframes. Third, still in maintenance the manuals are free but alot of the times are missing alot of information and you have to call diamond support. Also parts can't be stocked perhaps and or as an example as a shop to stock parts that usually break you have to order on a need basis I don't know if this has changed I hope so . Fourthly , based on these points I consider diamond aircraft too expensive with parts , planes as what they offer you can easily buy a twin turbo prop with that type price tag with a sacrifice of burning more fuel and being more comfortable .
And to add: Diamond Aircraft Industries is owned by China; a partner off Russia. These aircrafts are manufactured in Austria, a country stating neutrality in the barbaric unlawful war against Ukrainian sovereignty.
@@gq12o it actually depends for what I need it for. aircraft are not the type of vehecles that if you cannot afford you must have . To me they require two simple things time and money . Having said that just on the safekeeping of picking an aircraft for purchase I would pick a beechcraft bonanza it is roomy for 4 people and luggage yes you burn more gas but you are more comfortable .
If we understood your comment correctly, yes, the inclusion of a BRS is included in the aircraft certification. It adds an extra layer of reassurance during flights. Are there specific aircraft models with parachute systems that you find particularly interesting?
@@AviationFederation I believe so presentation of simulation of using of safe system in extreme situation cane be interesting for potential customer . Thank you for notice .
@@FelixSamulevich You're most welcome and we appreciate the comments! We're passionate about the topic of parachute systems as a standard feature of most small general aviation aircraft. For us, the safety record is very promising so far.
You're absolutely right. Fuel burn and fuel capacity are indeed two distinct metrics when it comes to aircraft. Both metrics are important considerations for flight planning and operational efficiency.
How does anyone afford a million dollar plane? The payments would be more than my harley and house payments combined. Would love to have one but too rich for my blood.
Not exactly. Depending on the manufacturer, it can be any combination of carbon fibre, polyethylene laminates, and sometimes with metal/alloy substructures.
Pretty planes but not worth the price!! The ASTRO is crap underpowered overpriced! The 62 is well over a million and there is other planes that have better performance for less!!
We understand; learning Diamond Aircraft is Chinese-owned can be surprising. Is there something specific about Diamond's history or planes that you're fond of?
Indeed, the price point of $1.2 million may not meet your expectations for the speed you desire. However, it's important to keep in mind that there are other factors to consider when purchasing an aircraft, such as range, comfort, and avionics. It may be worth exploring other options that better fit your speed requirements and budget.
Indeed, Diamond Aircraft's transition from being an Austrian company to having Chinese ownership is a significant change in the industry. Changes in ownership can bring both opportunities and challenges, and it's understandable that such transitions can evoke various sentiments among aviation enthusiasts. It remains to be seen how the transition to Chinese ownership will impact the future direction and offerings of Diamond Aircraft.

Diamond really needs a model above the DA62 with the DA50RG engines so it can hit at least 200kts and ideally a pressurized cabin.
So true
Yea the 20K ceiling made me laugh knowing that it’s depressurized lol

Loved these aircrafts till Chinese became the owner!
They still need more power 'cause engines are underpower but safe.

It's a deal breaker for me.
Think the bigger issue is that China is not a free country. Should avoid supporting (i.e. buying) from them whenever possible.
South Africa aviation would be a wonderful sight to see. Great video
Which have pressured cabin ?
Beautiful diamond aircraft and design.hope the prices and come down abit to let more people able to own this plane
Indeed! That would be amazing.

Very well done

I have been thinking about buying the da40 and also the da62
Good idea if the figures mentioned , displayed in the screen.
Cool video.....
24 gallons of fuel for a plane doing 150 knots or so these days is not fuel efficient, 13 is. I've seen on 10 GPH@ 184 Kts as well, it was a Lancair.
I believe that was total fuel capacity
@@wesleyhall2719 Indeed. They misleadingly say "uses up to" but they give the numbers for total max. fuel on board for each aircraft.

DA62 can have longer range tanks fitted.
