It’s not the being-cooked-alive part that bothers me. I think it’s that it seems so slow, and thus the potential suffering is increased. Throwing something into a pot of boiling water seems less cruel because the pain lasts seconds, not minutes like here. I love scallops and lobster, so I’m not here to say people shouldn’t eat these things. Just like how I eat chicken but would prefer for it to not be tortured while it’s alive. I still want to eat meat but I think we should strive for pain/suffering reduction as much as possible. Obviously it’s harder to do that with some things (e.g., foie gras).

Ocean life is harsh. After seeing a seal swim around half eaten by a shark, I 100% accepted it is what it is in the sea. And anywhere else. We all consume something alive to stay alive. Whether it's in one painless bite or several horrible ones. Whether heat is applied or some type of excruciating paralyzing venom. I understand it hurts to feel empathy for anything that's being eaten, but very few people, animals, or plants experience an entirely painless existence. We all get consumed eventually by something. The food chain was not designed with empathy in mind. It is purely the transfer of nutrients from one entity to the next. We will all suffer. We will all feel pain when we die. Except the smaller percentage that passes away in their sleep or overdoses on a false-sense-of-happy drug.
Though invertebrates don’t receive the same treatment as vertebrates, I still think it’s inhumane to kill these poor creatures so slowly and painfully.

Beautiful car Hiroyuki-San! I love watching you create your masterpieces!
if nature didn't intend us to cook them this way, they shouldn't have a perfect cooking vessel to cook them in.
Boooii
So true.. so very true
Clam: i made this shell to protect myself!
Clam on the grill: ...wait a minute!
Lmao
Video:shows car
Me: are they going to Cook it??
"The Meat is very very fresh" Dude, he is still alive....

Just stay still Carl!! it will go by quicker... [cooking intensifies ] AAAAH
Japanese cooking styles and seafood in general is the perfect combination. Two beautiful things coming together as one.
I don’t eat seafood at all the only seafood I have ever had was fish sticks and some people say that’s not even really fish. But I like to see seafood cooked alive. 🤦♀️
Now I know that shell fish don't have pain receptors but seeing them freak out and squirm like that makes me wonder if they feel at least a bit. Oh well, would still eat it. Looks good.
Yes they do feel pain.
They don't "feel pain", they just react to harmful stimuli the same way bacteria do too. It's called nociception.
13:45 - This is how they filmed the underwater band in the little mermaid...
13:23 was actually the clams crying 🤣😅
Damn that's kinda creepy
Camera man loves seeing animal suffer lmao.
This went from hiro being a chef to INTIAL H. Hiro gonna be the next takumi
Jotaro Kujo haha true😂
Fun Fact: Mussels are alive when you eat them and when you boil mussels they move and suffer and are alive
Inhumane
I've made Moules Mariniere, and they were uh.... Pretty tasty. To put it down succinctly!
Lol I've never seen scallops move like that......
Calms: let me throw you on a grill.....dance human dance.....lol
Isn't everything shellfish related grilled live? Clams? Oysters? Mussels?
Usually yes most shellfish you throw into the pot live
Yep
Raw clams and oysters are eaten live. Lol.
@@sparky10901 Especially with alcohol ;)
Seafood attracts bacteria insanely fast when they die so usually they're kept alive to the very last second.
It's my bucketlist to do a food-crawl through Japan. Watching y'all makes me hungry.
14:03 "EVERYBODY 1,2,3, DANCE!"
Abalone at 14:05 : *Chacha real smooth*
At least no one cant doubt it's freshness!!
That doesn't justify it.
America: Kills its food quickly
Japan: Locks up the still living seafood, sells tickets then tortures/cooks it live on the air
Wow your English is shit
Scallops algoe> OH GOD IT BURRRRRNS HELP USSSSSS
HIRE" Good Afternoon
Imagine having post notifications just to dislike the videos
Clams: "something smells good"
Octopus: "yeah, i like getting tanned at 400 degrees
Clams: "oh no, i smell smoke!
Octopus: "it's probably time for you to be served"
Clams: "served?...HEL-"
Go fix your grammar idiot.
13:50 the grilling (me imagining the scallops chirping like birds as they cook)
What is that
Its like from spongebob
oh does none here watch it anymore
What a time we live in, where cooking food is considered "disturbing"
Right? I mean yea being cooked alive sucks but it's a custom
I don't know, but I could hear them in my mind begging for their lives while feeling the fire burning their bodies.
Clams/oysters : *wiggle wiggle wiggle*
Hiro: *Good Afternoon*
The GTR R-34 will be able to come to the US next year in 2020. Beautiful car, definitely my dream car right there
Has to be 25 years old. Earliest R34 was Jan 1999 so that makes it Jan 2024. Sad harsh reality but that's the way it is. There are some exceptions which are rare museum pieces that can come in under the 25 years but restricted to limited annual mileage and other garbage. They just need to re-release the R32, R33, R34 so we can finally have it without the headaches and ridiculous price.
34 minutes ago comment is good.
shindukess are you sure it’s 25 years? I could have sworn when they allowed the import of these cars they said minimum 20 years then it has to go through customs and emissions tests?
@@MrSplupa USA EPA exempts at 21 years. USA DOT and FMVSS require 25 years to be exempt. Canada it's 15. Anyone bringing them in or selling them before the car itself is 25 years old to the manufacturing month date is risking grey bar hotel, car getting crushed and a $100,000 fine. About 15 are legal because they're Motorex exempt and they are in collections. Only other way is like I said special museum pieces and those are restricted in usage on the streets.
I believe the R33 will be legal to import in 2023, and the R34 will be legal in 2027. As much as i’d love to see them on the roads over here 😭
Ocean life is harsh.
If there was ever a more perfect description for the word "demented" it's the act of cooking an animal alive
Do you eat hamburgers?
@@WhiteBloggerBlackSpecs wait, the cows for my burgers are being roasted on the grill alive?

This is sooo good and tasty! I love the good food and presentaion ❤❤😊😊
I tried it before with my parents and grandparents and cant wait to try it again!
Anyone trying to see what the cameraman looks like through the reflection of the car? Lol
Haha yep
Guilty
Son: Mom I’m scared of monsters. Mom:No son we’re the monsters
Mom is vegan comfirmed
I agree with Garnt I'd need to be mentally prepared, this is not appetising
Ah I see why have come from the same video
Me too it is just BAD
The meal takes a toll on you.
4:35 sounds like I’m traveling from Valentine to Annesburg lol
That was cool as hell. And that skyline 🤤
oh yes...the R34 was so beautiful... Thank you for your comment :)
What was cool about it? Edgy bitch
Blackscape are people not allowed to have their own opinions?
No, it wasn't cool. It was sick and only idiots would support cooking them alive.
Hiro: shows car
Camera man: this some serious gourmet sh!t
Didn’t expect to see that amazing GTR. Absolutely amazing. Love this channel and I’ve only just recently discovered it.
JDM car’s rule.
Just saw the R34 show up too, awesome. Lol.
And the second R34 GTR, that’s a beautiful car unbelievable.
Most disturbing meal ever made
Hiro: Good Afternoon
Did this in Korea.... I was too drunk on soju and thought they were already dead.
You can literally tell the moment they’re spirit left and they died... which took a good while
@Noah Hawkins he threw on that Fire and they definitely felt Something until you could clearly see that they didn’t
It’s alright, the Scallops and Clams are paid actors. They’re ok.
Extreme diversity of opinions among human beings is interesting as for few its unique and more tasteful way of cooking but for some its sheer brutality.
OMG I saw camera guy in the reflection😱😱😱😱 this is as good as it’s ever going to get bois
What time broski
Aww at what point?!
1:08
Starting 1:07-ish
Again at 18:52
Omg, it’s pretty horrid watching something die slowly from the fire.
