The thing with Disco Inferno is that whilst he was a mid card type of guy, he is an iconic character at WCW over an extended period. He had a very strong identity, a lot of memorable story lines, he won a few titles, had matches with Flair, Hall, Goldberg etc... was seemingly well liked, made it to the booking department, never got seriously injured... made money, seems to have managed it quite well, has his own business. He’s doing a lot better then many more successful wrestlers and stars. I reckon that’s why so many wrestlers rubbish him so much... he’s done so well with less. Clearly a very smart and talented guy. Always been my WCW favourite
@@ericjablonski8838 Too bad for those losers. Sounds like sour grapes. Disco had talent and knows how to take care of himself. That's why he looks as well as he does today.
Disco Inferno is one of my all time favorite wrestiling characters. His dance and entrance music will forever be etched in my brain. This interview went by fast. He has a great personality and doesn't re-write history like many other bitter ex wrestlers.
Ever notice how in these shoot interviews all the ex-WCW guys are always laughing and have the attitude of "man those were the days, good times", meanwhile the ex-WWE guys are kind of miserable?
Alot of WCW guys left the business when WCW died. They got out with their bodies intact, some good money coming from their contracts paying out while they were at home, etc etc. Alot of WWE guys only left because they got hurt or so fucked up on drugs they ruined their career.
Very true, like a lot of the WWE guys are very angry and feel fucked over. Like I can easily name 20 guys that feel fucked over by the WWE creatively, feel like they weren't given a fair shot, weren't used to their full potential, miserable, etc. In a lot of ways the WCW wasn't as bad as people make it out to be.
Two things that I don't think people consider is that WCW had such a lighter schedule, and their rings were nowhere near as stiff. That's gotta add years to your life, and let you be happier.
One of the best interviews you’ve done! I went back and watched the match where disco won the TV title from Alex Wright and the crowd was all about disco.
Disco Inferno is so fucking awesome. I love this guy. Great interview. His arguments against Vince Russo are spectacular. I love Russo, but Glen always corrects him, tops him and teaches him. Any aspiring wrestler should LEARN from Glen Gilbertti, the Disco Inferno. The guy is easily one of the smartest dudes out there.
Disco is Awesome! Really cool and down to earth guy. He. Is absolutely hilarious!! He.was a really good in ring performer. WCW dropped the ball with him.
Great interview you can tell Disco was about the love of the sport and stayed off the drugs. I always enjoyed him but my wife was in love with him.. He is articulate and has a direct command of the English language. I am a former Memphis wrastler I know the ropes and he describes it as is no bs. Thanks for the interview.
Always loved Disco back in the day, definitely one of the most entertaining guys on the roster at the time. Actually got to meet Glen at Sapphire Gentleman's Club in Vegas thru the K100 deal, just had to give him a complement another complement and a $20 handshake at the door. We got drinks and got to talk to him for a while and it was an awesome experience.
@Michael Pugsley I am orig from Buffalo N.Y...but I go to the same gym Disco went to when he was staying in the Tampa suburbs. He was just a genuine nice guy, all the time, every single day. He did, however, insist that I had calf implants, lol .
I'm really glad that I found this superb video! I got more insight into prowrestling than I've ever gotten from an interview. If Disco hadn't been a wrestler he would have made a fine teacher in probably any subject that he's passionate about.
I always thought that the Disco Inferno character was entertaining; and wished that he'd carry a belt for a while. Great worker! Always willing to do business with wrestlers.
Really Thank you for this! All your interviews are giving me information I never knew I needed. He really was a different perspective and was such a great performer I don't recall ever seeing a match where he wasn't at his best really a hard worker. I love this and will keep going through the catalog. Thanks again.
His stories about iron sheik & jake Roberts was hilarious i used to hate disco but now I like the guy & his gimmick who would of thought disco inferno would be over in 2019 not me but he's won me over 💯👍
Disco had the best "why get mad/have heat at these insane wild dudes when I can just kick back & be entertained by em" attitude for the wrestling industry
1:43:00 Hulk Hogans whole 'team' thing was a psychological move to keep the other wrestlers in their place, so long as they stick to that mentality I can advance myself If you get a band and the singer says "The most important thing in this band is no egos" it's just a trick to make the other members modest so the singer can have complete control
The story about Disco driving Jake have me a chuckle. Imagine being green and breaking into the business and seeing all that, there's baggage in every industry, really.
I “ met “ Disco last night in a poker room & wanted so badly 2 jus shake his hand & ask 4 a photo but he was really rude 2 me. I asked was he tha guy in tha photo after showin him my phone wit his old WCW pic. He jus said “ yea “. He tried 2 immediately turn away but I preceded 2 tell him how I watched him as a kid & thought he was awesome back then. He jus said “ okay “ & I left him alone. I was wit sumbody else & not playin poker myself but if I ever see him again in a poker room I’m goin 2 whatever table he’s at & im gonna try & bust his ass every time I see him from now on. Ruined sum cool childhood memories 4 me
I doubt it. Any stories of him in fights always involve him biting, ripping at eyes ect. I have no doubt he's a great street fighter and warrior but in a sport where there is a lot of rules I don't know. Wrestlers tend to embellish stories a lot!
So Disco gets knowledge from Jake Roberts...Jacks is driving around trying to score crack....Disco decides to become a disco dancer a a gimmick. It all makes sense now.

Disco Inferno is so underrated and underappreciated. This was such a good interview.
UltraViolet CATFISH I would take that back
@Hey this Is blood moon Banged mom found.
I mean he definitely could work… but underrated… idk the guy did pitch the invisible man gimmick

Well said!,Disco was a great character, and he's doing good, never understood why others talked negativity about him
You fucking morons lolllll wcw geeks
He used to get duct taped to toilets backstage (not part of storyline), i've got a feeling he's not as perfect as well all see.
@@nuthinnew I heard that happened because he kept raking in their money in card games and they got pissed.
@@ericjablonski8838 Too bad for those losers. Sounds like sour grapes. Disco had talent and knows how to take care of himself. That's why he looks as well as he does today.
The Iron Sheik thinking he could pay with autographed pictures is hilarious.

A DAMN GOOD INTERVIEW!!! I wish Disco well, thnx for the upload Hannibal !!
Disco does one of the best shoot interviews . He’s very entertaining
Yes I agree along with Lex Luger shoot interview
Underrated wrestler. He's a good talker too, very interesting
In terms of intellect, I put him close to Nick Bockwinkel. And that's saying something.
You smarks might not like DIsco but the guy is a great storyteller and he's honest without apologies.
His hair is still fantastic.
Ever notice how in these shoot interviews all the ex-WCW guys are always laughing and have the attitude of "man those were the days, good times", meanwhile the ex-WWE guys are kind of miserable?
El Malifico I've noticed that quite a bit too.
Alot of WCW guys left the business when WCW died. They got out with their bodies intact, some good money coming from their contracts paying out while they were at home, etc etc. Alot of WWE guys only left because they got hurt or so fucked up on drugs they ruined their career.

One of the best interviews you’ve done! I went back and watched the match where disco won the TV title from Alex Wright and the crowd was all about disco.
I was like 10 or 11 years old in that time and he was the guy you secretly liked so thats why lol.
Amazed that Disco never found his way to WWE even for a short run or a Rumble Appearance. So many WCW guys ended up there.
Love you Disco, quality interview, cool guy, seems really easy going and down to earth.
Disco's talent was apparent every time he appeared. He's the real deal and could have held his own in any era.
What a great guy! Love to see him being comfortable and happy. He obviously has a great attitude towards life in general
He was my favorite wrestler, good memories from my childhood, respect from Peru!
Disco is Awesome! Really cool and down to earth guy. He. Is absolutely hilarious!!

He was one of those guys when you were watching nitro that you weren’t wanting to see necessarily but as soon as he came out you were excited.
Disco and Alex were fantastic they lost every time and loved it!
Always loved Disco back in the day, definitely one of the most entertaining guys on the roster at the time. Met Disco at Red's in Lafayette La. He was really cool.
Very likable man. I enjoy his rapport with Konnan on Keepin it 100 a lot.
Wow, I really enjoyed this one. I also recognized Disco as a worker in WCW. I always loved his "Disco Stew" gimmick.
If this recent, Disco looks exactly the same as he did in the 90s. Good to see him doing well!
Dude has the same hair. Just some grey in the beard. Good for him! lol
I feel bad that people call Disco just a “WCW guy” but he looks like he’s doing great these days!
Top 5 best shoot interviews.
This guy( glenn-disco) is a really good story teller and good guy. What a real good person and shoot! This guy needs more exposure.
@Michael Pugsley I am orig from Buffalo N.Y...but I go to the same gym Disco went to when he was staying in the Tampa suburbs. He was just a genuine nice guy, all the time, every single day. He did, however, insist that I had calf implants, lol .

Thank god he escaped the wrestling business in one piece.
I'm glad I finally watched this. Everyone always buries Disco but he seems like a really cool , funny, down to earth guy.
Can't believe how cool Disco is! Wasn't expecting that at all but he's really great
I always thought that the Disco Inferno character was entertaining; and wished that he'd carry a belt for a while. Great worker! Always willing to do business with wrestlers.
Dude, Disco and Alex could have been the best tag team ever :D
Disco inferno should be in wwe hall of fame
he was one of my favorites, so funny back in the day...…..very under appreciated....
Disco has always been so cool and a nice guy. He’s a treasure.
Great performer, great dude.
His squash match losses to Scott Norton were hilarious
Thanks sir I remember you telling me this was almost 2.5 hours, so awesome! Best wrestling channel no competition.
Agreed. Hannibal is a great interviewer in my opinion because he lets the guest tell their story and you can tell he's obviously genuinely interested.
Good stuff! Several legit lol moments...Glenn is personable, intelligent and chill.
Disco is a Top Guy.
I actually like the disco 🕺 inferno he still is better than wrestlers today
love it! thank you for posting! Thank you Disco for sharing your stories!
Disco seems a cool guy
LOVE LOVE LOVE this one & one of my new favorites
Underrated wrestler who made a great career in a mid major promotion like WCW.....He took advantage of his career.....
And did it smart. As a result, he's in good health and spirits today.

350K a year!? How much did the Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and Hogan make by the end of WCW? Talk about Ted Turner money.
I like disco a lot, he's a cool dude
Finally the whole interview , Disco is funny as hell , watch his face when Hannibal ask about after Hhh workout what happen 🤣 DISCO 4 LIFE !!! 🤣🤣🤣

Great interview.
Wow trying to imagine Goldberg with a mullet.
I just watched the Memphis video he was talking about. That was great because it’s so damned cheesy.😂

This guy took a shitty gimmick and took it to the moon. His football picks are pretty decent too.
