I think I've gained a lot of respect for Eric Bischoff after watching this. Of course, I've only ever known his TV characters, but this was a genuine insight to the actual person, and it turns out, he's a decent fellow. It also sheds a lot of insight into Hogan's troubles over the past few years, which calls for quite a bit of rethinking of how we see Terry Bolea.

Thank you so much eric bischoff. You helped mold my childhood into the most amazing memories and i fondly look back on wcw and how innovative you were and how cool your formatting was. Those live nitros still entertain me in my late 20s. Thank you so much mr Bishcoff you will forever be my favorite boss of a promotion ever. I aspire one day to meet you as i have so much love and respect for the body of work you created. Thanks eric

James smashes it as always, this was a great one. That AOL/Time Warner merger was such a shxtshow all around. A friend worked at AOL at the time, and they had an all hands 6-12 months after the merger with an open question period. One person got up and expressed that the merger seemed to have not gone well for anyone involved and asked what the path forward was. The CEO said, "If you remember, we bought them," to which the questioner immediately replied, "Great, can we sell them now?" Awkward laughter throughout the auditorium it was being held in.

You put the spark back in when it was very much lost! Thank you Eric you were as entertaining as anyone I’ve ever seen in the business!

Eric doesn’t get emotional very often which leads me to believe he’s telling the truth or at least what he truly believes the truth.

    • @BiscoWho
      @BiscoWho Рік тому

Well then, you don't actually know how to tell when someone is telling the truth and when they're not.
Here: What you need is a baseline of a person's body language and tone when you know them to be telling the truth. You need multiple examples so that you can notice the patterns. Then, anytime they deviate significantly from the patterns you've observed, then that's when they're most likely not being truthful. This is how people who are things like professional interrogators or clinical psychologists tell when people are lying and when they're telling the truth.
And I assure you, it is the ONLY technique that actually works. Don't go by anything else. If anyone ever tells you anything otherwise, they have no idea what they're talking about. I know exactly what I'm talking about and you may look into this online, if you doubt what I'm saying. You'll find that I'm right. Start learning how to observe microexpressions of people's body language. Then, once you master that, you just need to understand how to pay attention for patterns when you know that the person is least likely to lie, or you know them to be telling the truth (such as when they state their name and/or their birthday). Then finally, anytime you see body language that deviates from the patterns, boom, you pretty much know them to be lying.

    • @shadowangel2235

One of the biggest liars in the wrestling industry. He never tells the truth, heck, he even lied about his failed brewing company, claiming he sued somebody over a trademark, when it actually was the other way around and he got sued for stealing it. He's a total loser, bankrupted everything he ever started, including himself twice and was put on trial over his pathetic cuckolding.

I found his take at the beginning of that kind of childish in a way, trying to suggest that anyone who had a problem with Hulk Hogan was jealous, sort of like "you can't not like the person i like" at the end of the day a lot of people have problems with Hulk Hogan for very real reasons, he's known as the biggest backstage politicer for a reason, then there's also the issue of him trying to say punk has no confidence in his own abilities on the mic, which we all know that's bullshit. All just reeks of "don't say anything bad about my friend"

People are so often too quick to judge others. Imagine the worst thing you've ever done, probably something you've forgotten about maybe while drunk angry and depressed, maybe after someone did something henious to you, anything who knows. Now imagine it was on the biggest story on the 6 o'clock news and the front page of the paper, and the top of every social media feed.... how would you look? The world is unfortunately full of bad people and some of those stories are genuinely about bad people.... but some are regular people, good people, hurt people, mad, drunk, etc. people. Reserving judgement and keeping your opinions top yourself has absolutely 0% chance of harming innocent people while rising to judgement has the likely plausibility of ruining the life of an innocent person.
Just something I try to remember when this line this come up...🤷‍♂️👍❤️

I really do like Eric, and as a man i appreciate his hard work. That being said i cant sit jere and let him claim that he created live wrestling. For anybody who may not know wrestling territories around the continental united states were live every week up until the major expansion of Vince McMahon and the WWF. Wrestling was live until '83 or '84. I hate to burst the bubble to any of you who may believe that, but bottom line is taht its just untrue.

Eric is the man. Cornette is a failure. Cheers.

Exactly where do you set the bar for 'failure'? Whether you like Cornette or not, making millions of dollars in your chosen profession and staying relevant over a 40 years period is hardly failure.

@@chestercopperpot4455 LOL.....I would call it being fired from every job you've ever had due to a repugnant and obstinate attitude, and alienating just about everyone in the process, and after all those years, not having much money and relying on still selling to the lowest IQ marks who will believe anything he says because of his snake-oil, rapid-fire, childish delivery...

@@smartasianfriend9940 He has the highest rated podcast in wrestling, and has done so for some time. Your comment makes no logical sense and just expresses a strongly held personal opinion, unless you just consider all his listeners to be dumb and not as smart as you. Bischoff has been fired from many jobs too but he is not a failure, and I don't much care what Eric's political opinions are one way or the other. Thanks

    nWo members imo...
Hall, Nash, Hulk, Syxx, Bischoff, Vincent, Elizabeth, Buff, Norton, Chono, Savage, Rodman, Muta, Konnan, Sherri, Hennig, Rude, Adams, Dusty, Martel, Disciple, Steiner, Ray
This idea that they should have had 4 or 5 is stupid. The idea is that they're growing to take over the company, or start their own.
