In the past 10 years I replaced our at least 4 time and I have soft water. I replace the filter every 6 months as they automatically send them to me. They do not last as nice as it is to have hot water the units suck!
We've had about 4 of these, first lasted about 10 years, rest last about 2 to five. I have one installed a year ago in our new house, it's now only heating to about 165.

is it dead yet?? our last 2 years...plenty hot is barely 200 would you say? looking for an upgrade to last longer now how about you?
