Love ours, I installed a year ago, use it daily for instant coffee. It is the InSinkErator Model 44719, it came with the chrome faucet in a kit, roughly $350 for everything. The install was pretty straight forward, I also installed a 3M Aqua-Pure 3MFF100 6000 gallon water filter prior to the water heater. That feeds the hot water unit and a stand alone drinking water faucet at the sink. Where I ran into issues, was at the garbage disposal unit electrical outlet. The garbage disposal is on a switch. Well, to use the outlet under the sink, the switch on the wall for the garbage disposal has to be on. What to do? I wound up buying a new outlet, the one under the sink was installed in the 1960's, and had to rewire that plug, there is a tab on the outlet that needs to be broken, to utilize one side for the wall switch, leaving one side that is always hot for the water heater. There are videos here on YT to wire up an outlet in this fashion if you run into a similar situation. It was a real PIA getting under the sink to do this fix. If not for that, this was a very simple install. On a side note, if you do have an outlet under the sink that is utilized for a garbage disposal, double check the outlet, you may have had a good electrician install the outlet properly, one side on the switch, and the other side hot. That is how they should be installed.
Awesome great information! What can also be done on the garbage disposal plug issue is leave the switch in the on position and install an air switch on the garage disposal and it can be turned on and off by the air switch so the insta-hot will be working the whole time. Thanks for watching 🤠
Thanks for the video with all the details. btw, you can probably use the garbage disposal outlet. The standard for an outlet with a switch is to connect the bottom outlet to the wall switch. You can tell if it follows code when the outlet is installed upside down, i.e., ground is on top. The top outlet should be live.
I have a quooker fusion imported from the netherlands to utah and it’s an all in one system so there’s a ring around the faucet and you just dubble push and turn it and it will dispense 212 degrees boiling water like when it comes out it is still boiling amazing
curious, do you have to leave the water running for a minute before the hottest water reaches your faucet? Or is there some type of recirculation taking place where the hottest water is right there waiting to be used? I hate wasting water waiting for it to get hot.
Great question, since the water heater is just below the sink the hot water gets to the faucet within a second or two. It’s pretty awesome! Thanks for watching
Hi there! We already have an insinkerator hot water tank/filter system and want to change the faucet to the hot/cold. From what I am seeing in the video is the only difference having that split connector so you can put the 2 copper lines into it? Trying to find answers and its been tough, thank you!!
Hey Brad, hope all's well with you and the fam. Is your water heater so far away you need one of these for the kitchen sink? Don't get me wrong, I'm a big believer in point of use water heaters, just wondering the application here's all.
Our water heater is approximately 25’ from the sink up the wall across the attic and back down the wall. So the heater is relatively close to the kitchen. The reason for the instant water heater is to use for birdies hot tea, or anything else that you would need or want very hot water instantaneously. Mainly for cooking. So I guess the short answer is what the wife wants......the wife gets!!! Thanks for the question and for watching.
@@TexasBeardAdventures Yep, that makes sense, especially since it has an in-line filter now that I think about it .....duh. Enjoy the tea Birdie and may 2021 see y'all safe, happy and prosperous!
How have you been liking this hot/cold dispenser? I bought the same model but not installed yet. Any issues and is the cold water very cold or cool? Would you prefer a model that swivels or has this one been working well for you? Thanks!
Hey Holly, This unit is great! The cold water is the same temp as what comes out of the tap at any other faucet. The hot is super hot around 200 degrees. Get after it …….you won’t regret it!
When I got my new dishwasher I did not want it hard wired so I added a plug and then put a outlet on the electric wire coming in for the dishwasher . I did not want another hard wired dishwasher ever again . We were without power during the epic ice storm here in Virginia for 14 days and that caused problems with my dishwasher and well . Power kept coming on and off 10 times in just 10 minutes . Now I can just unplug it if it ever happens again , I don't want to have to buy another dishwasher . I put the outlet on the wall cabinet for the sink . Is that a cold and hot water one . I was looking at only the hot water one . Epic ice storm here made a mess of the woods behind my house that is 12 acres , over 80 trees went down or were leaned over and Ilive in southside VA near the NC borrder . Never want to see that again . Hope yu are safe down there with all the illegaLS . wE HAVE THE AFGHANS HERE THAT WERE NOT VETTED AND THE ILLEGALS .
Yep, plug-in is The way to go. Thankfully we don’t get many ice storms down here. We just need to close the borders! Y’all be safe this winter. Thanks for watching
Thank you for this very helpful video.
You’re very welcome
Informative, straight forward video. No theatrics. Great video for the DIY-ers.
Appreciate Seth!

As always thank you Kara! You sure do know how to make my day!

I believe that is correct
Instructions are the manufacturer’s OPINION on how to install it. 😁
Your absolutely right.......typically for me the instructions are the very last thing I read if I can’t figure it out.

Hi thank you for the video. Could you please link the accessories that you bought separately too? Or maybe list it please
Let me see what I can do.
Could you tell me “how much hot water It makes?”. Can it do 1 gallon at a time? Thanks
I would say between 1/2 gallon to 1 gallon at a time

Wow
I know right
Can you tell me how big of a whole you had to drill into the counter top? Thanks man’s
Typically the hole is 1-1/4 for most faucets and soap dispensers.
I'd caution you leaving it on the highest setting long term. These are known to overheat at the element connections.
Appreciate it
That brass compression ferrule will crack that 3/8 pipe
If you over tighten it absolutely.
Don’t use a 24” pipe wrench next time.
YEE to the HAW
YEAH BUDDY
How do I pull my dishwasher out? I’ve been pulling on it but it won’t come out.
That’s in another video! Sorry for the confusion SIR
I never pull out of my dishwasher. That’s how she likes it.
Lol....you a nasty boy!!
Does that run dish washer
Negative
Good but you need to light up that work area for us , kind of hard to view
Sorry I’ll try harder next time!😘😘
