In the past 10 years I replaced our at least 4 time and I have soft water. I replace the filter every 6 months as they automatically send them to me. They do not last as nice as it is to have hot water the units suck!

I use the Dazzle Dry base coat and transform (ridge filler) routinely with both mainstream and indie polishes as well as the DD ones. I don't, however, use the topcoat with non-dazzle dry polish. Instead I use a coat of glisten & glow topcoat followed immediately (no waiting) by a coat of seche vite. Using the dazzle dry topcoat over non-DD polishes apparently risks contamination, and frankly it's too expensive to take that chance. Even when I use the DD topcoat I still cover it with the other two topcoats. They're dry within 5-10" and give a very hard, gel-like finish that retains its shine far longer than the Dazzle Dry.

Dazzle Dry looks good, it does work. I have Essie nail polishes and they chip easily and crack off! UK 🇬🇧

Dazzle Dry sounds amazing, hunting for it! Only can get the topcoat, saving up! Various indie brands like Glisten & Glow topcoat, Out the Door and Virbrant Vinyls sweet smelling topcoat look good but pricey! I flinch at spending anymore than £12/$18 for a tiny 8ml bottle! UK 🇬🇧

I picked up one at the store and damn they are HEAVY. It's on my wish list for sure, what a beautiful piece. I got one of their pie pans in the mean time.

Probably try another fast drying polish like halo taco or ILNP

Note: I have that searing burner as well. You are not supposed to keep the flame tamer in there. The searing burner should be exposed to work properly. I would remove that and store it for if you need to swap out the searing burner for the standard burner.

I’ve considered using just the dazzle dry base coat for my nail polish collection. It was suggested in a FB post that it prevents staining from heavily pigmented polishes. Plus dazzle dry does not contain nitrocellulose which can contribute to staining. Thanks for demonstrating it can work!

If you are transitioning from gels or dips then you should use transform under your polish :)

We've had about 4 of these, first lasted about 10 years, rest last about 2 to five. I have one installed a year ago in our new house, it's now only heating to about 165.

As a gamer, I spend a lot of time in my room. I'm big on RGB lights so I have light strips going around my room...with a PC and a mini fridge running it can get warm in my room, even hot. If I have to get solar panels in my room so be it...if my dad still fussing about having a window unit then I know he's just jealous.

The ridge filler from DD was really helpful for me-I get longer wear and my nails look smoother. You mentioned wavy nails from damage and the ridge filler might help!

Is it worth it? Heck yeah!! I have several, one of which you feature in your video. I use it a lot and make all kinds of stews, braises, and for frying. I've had mine for a good twelve years and they are like new with no chipping of the enamel. Just take good care of them and they will last forever.

I just bought one. If I push the 1-4 cups setting, does it only make 4 cups even if I fill it to the max? I only want to make 4 cups every morning. 😊

Polish will last longer at the nail tips if you wrap the tip of each nail with the polish and topcoat.

One caveat, if you heat an enamled dutch oven with nothing in it the enamel will pop off like popcorn. And NO, Le Crueset won't replace or fix it (it can't be fixed). They don't cover "abuse" in the warranty, and you can bet that nearly every problem will fall under the category of "abuse". Le Creuset certainly is an attractive looking pan, but they do NOT last forever.

I bought a carbon steel fry pan thinking it might have less weight boy was I wrong. Now I need to see if I can get my old LeC pan fixed from chips. The carbon pan has the Eiffel Tower as a handle I think it’s Debeyer.

I make bread in mine on a regular basis, and it comes out amazing. I use a recipe for Almost No Knead Bread from America's Test Kitchen. You have to let it rise overnight, but I urge you to try it!
