It's no guarantee that the RAM is the issue, but checking it is free, easy to do and worthwhile.
Thanks for sharing this tips Mr. Sujano. Just wondering if you could help with this, so I have a gaming laptop which has recently started randomly rebooting. No errors. No BSODs. I can game just fine but shuts off after a while. The intervals on when they shut off is very erratic.
Thermals are good, SSD is good, Power adapter is working just fine nothing abnormal. Would you say that this is possibly a fault with the ram? Thanks for the response.
@MrSujano i have the same ram with you. G Skill Ripjaws. Quite often a blue schreen shows up (bsod) and it restart my pc automatically. I had a memory diagnosis
on windows and it says "your computer has a memory problem". What should i do in this case?
well... I believe my ram may be the issue.. ran 9 tests and my results were 0, 128, 256, 107, 0, 201, 106, 512, 362, 0....
Btw these are all errors... Im going to have a fun week
😢
@@cedricmendoza8316 found a fix? same thing on my computer
i was 99% sure my new RAM was dead on arrival, now i know thanks.
simple calm and clear. perfect
Thank you so much . One ram on my desktop showed errors , now i removed it and my desktop is running perfectly.
How do you check if the ram show errors?
Thanks, this helps a lot, I have been getting these Blue Screens a lot lately and my RAM was acting weird
What was the problems your pc was showing? Besides BSOD did you pc seem laggy and slow while doing simple tasks like opening programs?
@@nightryder16 mine runs fine, but it's either I open up a couple tabs or gaming it comes up with bsod.

I was getting these Memory Managements and System Service Exception BSODs for months and ignored them until a few days ago when my PC could not boot into Windows without a crash, and if it did, no icons would show up and if I clicked the desktop or taskbar it would immediately crash every time. My C Drive became corrupted and I could not startup repair, reset my PC or even reinstall windows without error even after formatting the drive. At one point it did a full Windows reinstall on the drive but I could not open the start menu, settings, or the taskbar icons in the bottom right.
I installed a new SSD, formatted it, partitioned correctly and it was STILL failing to reinstall windows or even reset. Reseating the RAM did not work. What fixed it was me taking out one of my 2 sticks of RAM, and attempting to reinstall again on the new freshly formatted SSD. Went smooth for the most part but had to do one last PC reset because a Cumulative update refused to install. Except for the C Drive and the small programs I put on there, all of my info on my other drives were saved. With my PC back up and running I ran memtest86 on the RAM stick I took out and it found over 15,000 errors in less then 15 minutes. Ordered a new set of RAM expeditiously.
Moral of the story: If you start getting these BSODs consistently, do not ignore them lol. Run a memtest overnight and see how it holds up, also it's nice to have multiple drives instead of one big C Drive just in case the C Drive gets corrupted somehow, or at least get an external hard drive to back everything up to. Hope this helps anyone because for a while I thought my PC was bricked.
Bro i got constantly bsod bro what to do bro plz reply bhai
For me it did fixed the problem, It can be cpu as well or the motherboard, unfortunately if you dont have the tools to fix it might be hard.
Great video!! It really help me find the solution to my problem.
This was informative. Too bad UA-cam didn't populate your video, but I suspected it was the ram and I removed them after hours of thinking it was a bad install of windows and swapped HDD. After removing the ram modules, it did fix the blue screen of death 😱. I bought this gaming laptop from Facebook marketplace glad I bought it at good price. Waiting to see if Corsair will replace it since they too have lifetime warranty. If not, I believe ram capacity is already maxed out anyways not sure why they added more?
THQNK YOU SO MUCH I HAVE MANY BLUE SCREEN AND I TEST THE RAM AND THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH IT
how ironic, i just happen to have G-Skill SODDIM RAM and having random BSOD...argh!
My last computer that kept BSOD I switch the motherboard.
excellent video
I too am having similar issues to Local Goblin. Pc works fine with 16gb ram at 3600mhz but becomes unstable with 32gb at 3200mhz. Each stick memtest86 fine at default bios speeds, then when booted into windows with both full 32gbs ram at the rated 3200mhz, screen flashes and PC restarts. Put the 16gb 3600mhz back no issues. Ideas? Corsair has yet to get back to me on this.
I randomly get pfn list corrupt bsod. Sometimes when I'm restarting my pc and sometimes when I unplug a usb from my pc.
Clean the ram and slots, dust can be the issue too so give that a go
Google Chrome is giving me a "dangerous download" warning on the MemTest download. Is it a false positive or is that program compromised?
I thought it was a problem with the graphics card, I realized it wasn't after buying new graphics card and now I have to buy ram
Luckily, I don't have RAM problems but I will have your advice in mind if I ever run into one.
Idk but ever since I got a new set of ram "2x16(32gb) 3600" I tried to switch the frequency to 3600 and I kept getting bsod whenever I'm either browsing or gaming. I also turned it back down to 3200 and had the same issue. I even switched them both and continue to change the frequency speed, but nope still bsod. NOW I actually just decided to maybe set the ram frequency to "auto" and I haven't had any issues regarding the ram. I also reinstalled the GPU drivers just in case. Any ideas on why I'm not able to use more frequency? I have an intro i7 11th gen.
Motherboard dosent support faster speeds...Im having this issue now..Tech tried to overclock my ram for me at 3600 and wouldnt even boot correctly, Had to turn down to 3000 in my case anyway
So if i get a BSOD while testing the RAM does that mean it's very bad RAM? Cause i got mine pre-built from this company called AVGPC which i was skeptical but went with it, it worked well for about a week and a half or 2 and then i started to get constant BSOD messages, the RAM brand is Asgard and i feel like the company used old or worn RAM sticks cause it used to be just Barely over 15.5GB (the PC is 16GB) but now it's at 15.4 when yesterday it was at 15.41
Thank you very much, i switched my ram and i had one of my ram barret that was broke. So i gonna buy new ram.
Is there any way to check the ram if it causes the pc to BSOD before you boot onto the desktop? The BSOD shows the (MEMORY_MANAGEMENT) error
Bro how you resolve your error
Because i also get same error

My RAM just died. It was only 2 years old. Model Corsair Vegenance LPX 2x8GB DDR4 3200Mhz. On old PC I had Kingston Fury 4x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz and it works flawlessly for over 7 years. I cannot recommend going Corsair for RAM, there has been many issues on reddit with Corsair DDR4 RAM units.
Oh man, mine just broke down today as I was reading this. I should've spent more time on reading reviews before committing to buy stuff.
Corsair vengeance ddr4 and 5 ram sticks are literally rated top 3 of all time next to ROG/ tuf ram and triton. Thats just bad luck for you.
Same, my 2x8gb DDR4 vengeance pro rgb lasted only 3 years
Tried to dl the memtest from hcidesign but chrome blocked it warning that it’s a dangerous file.
When I put the rams singularly it is fine and boots, but when I put both together it didn’t boot up and I had to force shutdown and it worked the second time. What should I do or what’s wrong? Please help.
I first have blue screen then I started reinstall my pc driver and the blue screen still there. Haven't thought about ram yet. Thanks
How did you run that test without booting in bios
I've been getting all of these errors, im getting a new ram, hopefully will be fixed because I've tried everything in the software
Memory_management
IRQL_NOT LESS OR EQUAL
FAULTY HARDWARE CORRUPTED PAGE
DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLE
It was fixed, I haven't get any error (blue screens) again:)
I have been having this weird freezing issues and blue screen of deaths. Then today I decided to clean my PC and dust it out. When I turned it back on suddenly DRAM led was on. Then I found out that one of the sticks is not working anymore. I tried re seating for more than 9 times and I guess its dead. I tried the hci mem test on the remaining stick and it has found no errors. Guess I'll be running my rig for 8gb for 1 month until the other ram stick arrives.😅
i've got 31 gb of ram while trying even on 2000 the pc restarts its self and no error showed so this means my ram is dead or dying
Sometimes I can get into windows and boot but everything really slow then it blue screens and restarts and when it dose it gose into bios and it won’t leave it idk what to do
There is no RAM kit for my x670E!!!!!!!!!! That works at 128gbs of RAM
My MOBO can run DDR5 ram is working fine at rated speed (7200mhz). But when i use that ramX2 in dual channel mode, it crashes
When the computer starts press F9 it will do a diagnostic on the computer and it will tell you if it's the Rams the computer or the hard drive mine was the hard drive
This video is useful
I'm getting a virus warning when trying to download HCI MemTest, is this normal?
I just bought a 32gb kit from a guy who sold me it brand new. Was running great until day 3 than it died for whatever reason. The ram was corsair rgb 3200mhz cl16 and had lots of errors in test 7 8 and 9 in memtest86. In gaming, crashed, in UA-cam, crashed, in cinebench it crashed like I'm sorry im never buying corsair ram again or from a buyer from ebay or Facebook as these idiots always scam you with faulty hardware. Buying new and only new from now on
I know this videos from two years ago but the music during the video and then at the end? Why?
I just started with this same issue I can overclock everything but the ram it goes blue screen and I have the same ddr4 ram sticks mine are at 3600. Also if you get new ones do you have to reinstall everything
nvlddmkm I keep getting this error in event viewer saying the display driver crashed and recovered a few places suggest bad ram help please
I have some trident skill ram 32 gb and it was causing my blue screen it's the critical process dies blue screen also one of my Samsung ssds went bad the 970 pro it took me a while to figure out what it was and what I think caused the issue was we had power go out and kept going on and off and I think it killed one of my drives and ram
while testing i got bsod does this mean my ram is faulty
Hey man! Thank you for the great video. There's got to be an easier way to diagnose which ram card is faulty vs trying and testing one at a time. Doesn't it mention what DIMM slot or ram card is having an error specifically? I have 4 ram cards so it's going to be a pain to diagnose it one at a time.
I had the wrong timings in my bios!!!! Thanks for the assist !!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉
Could you try first to modify the RAM configuration before buying a new RAM?
Is it normal to go on to 154% or even 428% coverage, no errors?
My bios wont boot my usb stick with memtest86. What do do now
i had bsod..but after reinstall ram it's gone (by memtest83's result) can be bad plugging is the reason of the bsod?
Have the same issue, i run windows memory diagnostic, said theres a hardware issue. I run memtest86 to test each of my ram stick on the same slot and found no issue. Guess the culprit might be the slots itself.
yeah I've got bad ram, dammit man that sucks, oh well lets hope it holds out for a month or so till I can afford to fix it haha
A bad ram stick in my 2 year old laptop was the cause of the bsod I was getting. It originally had only 8gb of memory so I bought another one to make it 16. Kimtigo is the brand. It only lasted 4 months. Never again!
yes,, adobe premiere,, after i set higher ram use for the app and render a video, my screen is flickering in some lines, my cpu running at very low clock speed, somehow ram testing could fix, i ran it about an hour.
I got new ram that my computer just did not like. Blue screens with it so i had to return the ram. I think my computer just doesn’t want more cuz I’ve tried twice😊
Can the problem be from my ram issue because they are different names.
Samsung and vengeance
I’ve cleared my computer twice (deleted all files and applications) so the problem must be my hardware I don’t know what hardware Is the culprit but I’m suspecting it’s my motherboard or ram
Ran mem test and it passed with zero errors. Unplugged and re set the ram sticks still crashing. I reset bios settings and still crashing. I try to install windows updates and it crashes during installation
Same how you fix now..?
@arroziirfan7109
Fresh install of windows make sure there is only 1 drive installed and that drive is set to drive zero.
@@parkerazz4385 i done, another vidio said ram problem and this true, my ram suck now i change and ok
@@parkerazz4385hopefully this will fix my laptop.
I got frequent Crash while playing games. I opted to do Fresh windows install today.
I installed lexar ares ddr5 in my msi project zero z790, it gave me tons of blue screens. Switched to a corsair vengeance ddr5 and its now perfectly functional. Not sure what to think pcpartpicker told me they’re compatible. 🤷🏽♂️
just had this playing crusader kings 3
ram use goes quite high
pagefile(virt mem) goes quite high (19gb) its really gross
..... if i keep playing (program monitor attatched) and i see pagefile go up to 19gb, and stay there... it will BSOD gauranteed... might take 1 minute, might take 30 minutes, hour... whatever it will BSOD..
so it happens... then windows refuses to work.. it will bsod upon startup..
one time starting up before it bsods out, in the corner it says "not authentic copy of windows" ..... im like wtf.... unbelievable....
after the 5th 6th startup and BSOD i believe its the OS hardrive taking a shit..... and roll my eyes, becasuse its just so darn fun getting a new drive, partition wipe, install os... such fun.... but i get an idea... i know one of my sticks (in CPU-z) is marked 11/10... so its very fckn old...
i pull the stick
and boot... everythings fine.. no bsod
.... fck that stick
I cant fix it but ima try upgrading the ram stick its really bad
edit:Im just having random bluescreen everytime
That’s your problem adobe
I had 32gb ram ddr5 5200mhz so I got another 32 today put in now getting this issue will give these a go I've literally reset my pc I just hope it ain't the ram the issue 😅
Also yes it's the exact same ram exact same brand and exact same 5200mz not sure what's caused it seems like a dodgy batch
The solution: Switch to Davinci Resolve
I have 4 sticks installed . G-skill trident z 3600mhz 4x16gb (64gb) .
When I turn off xmp profile everything works fine (2133mhz as auto detects) .
MOBO - msi z690 wifi tomhawk
Cpu - i7-12700k
Rtx 3080 12gb
Really frustated facing this issue for past 2 months any solution ?
This is stupid. Windows has it's own memory diagnostic called and you guessed it windows memory diagnostic. After you run it, it will immediately let you know there is a memory problem. Afterward you are going to have to do what this guy does. Take all the ram out and put 1 stick and and run the diagnostic again. repeat for each stick and you will find one hopefully bad stick of ram but make sure you test all sticks. If all your ram is good then one of the ram slots has a pin problem. Clean out the slot with electronics cleaner then use and air cleaner and hopefully the problem is gone.
bluescreen err 😔😓😓
i was playing cs2 and tabbed, went into youtube and my pc went into bluescreen..
it said
FAILED : dynss.2
now i dont know what to do

Can your motherboard be a cause for blue screens? I tested both my rams on my friend's PC for a week it was fine and I use it on mine and it runs for a few mins and then blue screens. I changed my hard disk, still blue screen. I changed power supply, still the same. Screen flickers and then blue screen. So I used different graphic card and monitor, still the same problem. Only things left is motherboard and processor. So I thought maybe the processor may be heating up, but it wasn't. I wasn't even running any games. So there's no heat issues, scanned my PC for viruses, found nothing. I don't have extra motherboard or processor to test it, do you think motherboard may be the culprit? I even installed fresh windows 10, still blue screen. Nothing seems to help.
Hey, is it fixed now? any updates?
@@deoryisnoob turns out it was the motherboard. got a new motherboard and haven't faced a single issue. gigabyte's customer service is horrible. gave it to them twice, but they just can't find the issue. they keep saying there's nothing wrong. but i tried the board on multiple pc myself, and it causes blue screens, i try a different board, 0 issues. but gigabyte can never find the issue it seems or they are simply lying so they don't have to issue a replacement. my friend's gigabyte graphic card started giving issues early too and even he faced alot of issues from gigabyte customer service. will never purchase anything from gigabyte.
