Another AMAZING episode!
I love the "morally grey" / pragmatic aspect of Reacher using the counterfeit money to cover whatever he needs to take them down. (Hotel rooms, a new suit, etc.)
I also love the "military brotherhood" aspect when Reacher can just ask some random Police Officer / Veteran for needed help, and he doesn't hesitate to agree.
I also love the (rare) POSITIVE example of a marriage here. In almost ANY other show, the husband would have hidden what was happening from his wife to "protect" her! (right or wrong) HERE? They had completely open communication between them! Bravo.
"Well that's just stupid." It is. But entirely "human" too. Because LOVE is stupid. And we all get stupid when we are in love. Sad, but beautiful.

10:57 As someone who has been on edge and hyper alert for years I can tell you, you get so used to it, that you pick up every single sound around you. Even sounds that normal people would never hear. And you get really good at differrntiating those sounds as well.
Just a couple more days for season 2! Can't wait!

I like that Reacher waited until the taxi driver finished talking to his taxi buddy in a different language and then in his language what the taxi driver should do.
So the guy behind the tree that dropped the bomb and he couldn't find it. Rosco did what I have always called barking. Bad guy is hiding behind tree "A" and there is another tree "B" close to that tree but further away from you. You shoot tree "B" and cause the bark to fly off of the tree and hit the bad guy in the face. It could be as gentle as having sand thrown in your face or strong enough to destroy your eyes. Either way he couldn't see a damn thing. It's something my dad taught me when he took me squirrel hunting when I was 8 or 9.
As an avid board game player ( especially euro), I’m always happy to hear one mentioned on a show.
They sure saved the action for the last two minutes, didn't they?
I loooove the chemistry the actors have with each other. I'd be willing to bet there's a blooper reel of everyone laughing their asses off in these scenes.
Finlay and Reacher's scenes in the car are among the best in the series as they do and don't open up about their past and what drives them.
Finlay is indeed punishing himself for something he couldn't fix but obviously still feels guilty over (his wife's death) while Reacher...well, he might be pushing away the people that care about him the most.
Loving these reactions- and can't wait for season two to start!
Yeah, a few episodes ago...my wife mentioned to me...that she thought you had not picked up on one of the clues they had laid...and that you actually were seeing the money transfer in the correct way, but we didn't want to say anything...for it would alter your viewing experience. You had it from the start. Great job!
Lots of story beats dropped in this episode...giving weight to the motibations of the characters.
Also, can we say...the music that accompanying these episodes has been amazing (whether Reacher agrees with it, or not).

I love beef jerky. Like, I 💕LOVE💕 beef jerky. But when Reacher opened that bag in the closed car I almost started gagging myself😂
What? Why? I love beef jerky as well, I love the taste I love the smell, if someone opened a bag of jerky in a closed car the only thing I would be doing is saying "You better be sharing."
@@jerthon1 Most of it (especially Jack Link’s) has a sickeningly potent odor, way too strong for me. Especially in an enclosed space

'Carpet-bagger' is a term largely used within Southern communities, though the one people from up North might recognize more is the term 'Yankee'.
Around the post-Civil War era of the US, Northerners moved South to try to urge Southerners to accept the loss of the war. These people moved in with bags that were literally made of carpet-like material. You always knew a Yankee by his carpet bag. Therefore, the people who wanted to supplant the communities of the post-war South were called 'Carpet-baggers', and it was meant as an epithet for people that disrespected Southern customs. (A lot of carpet-baggers moved down to try to buy up destroyed real-estate to make a quick buck off the people whose homes they had just burned down. It left a bit of a deep wound.)
Nowadays, we call it the three-tiered Yankee system. 'Yankees', 'Damn Yankees' and 'God-Damned Yankees', depending on how little they care about acclimating.
