That is the best news ever! Breakfast cost has become a central preoccupation. Free breakfast means fancy dinner to us! So many chains seem to be taking away the free breakfast when you book a points rate.
I did receive a similar offer and I will take it since I plan to stay at a few of the IHG properties in East Asia next April. My offer is to purchase 120,000 pts with a 20% discount. I had been a diamond member before and had gotten great free breakfasts and lounges access in IC properties. I normally used my suite upgrade just to be safe, so I can't commend on the suite upgrade part. I am also an Ambassador member, so I do get a little more benefit when staying at IC property. A side note, when you are a diamond member and staying at the IHG property w/ lounge access, you can choose either dine in the lounge or at the restaurant. I usually ate breakfast at the restaurant since it has more choices. However, lounge is much more peaceful. Of course, you will only use lounge for evening cocktail. My final price for the 120,000 pts is the same as Every_State_Park stated below ($640), very worth it. :)
@ so you paid $960 and then you got a statement credit from Chase of $192 ( which is the 20%) and the 2,880 extra points? Im asking if we can double dip? The offer was $1,200 less discount was $960, so wondering if you received an additional $192. So a net of $762
@@jaysonpadilla9588 No. Unfortunately, no double dip! The credit card was charged $960 and there was no additional credit applied. That would have been sweet, though!
We just received our IHG Premier personal card the beginning of 2024 and have stayed in quite a few properties since. It has been hit or miss whether we got any perks at all. I got the same 20% offer and I just don't see the benefit. Am I the only one?
Check out the full description of the status benefits in the terms and conditions. There really are some great benefits. The biggest one is fourth night free. Then probably the 60% bonus to points earned. As to upgrades, it is hit or miss, but the Holiday Inn Express brand has been good to us.
When I took the offer and bought points it was 120k points for $800. I then got the 20% discount applied and so the total was only $640 for the 120k points. That worked out to $0.00533 per point. Was your cost really $960 after the discount? Also my wife has the card too and didn't receive the offer. I wonder if it's because we have been booking stays on my account.
@@thepodojils I wonder if it is a random thing or we got a lower price because we've been with IHG for a while or hold diamond status before. I did buy points regularly too, but no where close to 1 million points. :)
@ from another forum it seems like there was a problem on the site, some people saw $640, some $800, some $960 and some $1000 depending on when you clicked the link.
Have you received this targeted offer? What discount did you get? Did you get your Diamond status?
Have not received the offer 😭
@@bear5687 We keep checking Gregg's offers to see if maybe it was delayed. No such luck!
I took the offer. 120k points and diamond status for $640.
The breakfast is for the full duration of your stay. You choose it as an amenity at check-in

Good to know you can opt for restaurant or lounge!
Did the offer come via email or when you logged into your IHG account?
@@paulfairchild8942 via e-mail and also a notification from the IHG app.
Did you pay it with your IHG credit card?? If yes did you receive the 20% statement credit for purchasing it
Yes, we got the 20% discount with the card. We also get 3x points for "other" purchases, so 960 x 3 = 2880 points.

Great channel - you should have 10X more followers!
We feel the same way! We're just getting started...
I think the Royal Ambassador is a better deal
Dont say so...i LOL!

I currently have a 15% discount

Yep, this is the same offer I got, so even better than 100% discount IHG offer once/twice a year.
Yeah, we really paid $960. It was kind of insulting. But... we're enjoying the suite it got us moved into! 😅
