    All your interviews are superb. My suggestion: split the screen into two. Show the speaker talking on one side. On the other half, show a white screen: Write out the guest speaker's main points during the conversation. Leave those points on the screen for a few minutes so we can pause the video. Eventually, when there's more than six concepts, you can erase and start again. If you want to include yourself, you can show a small box within a box on the same side as the guest speaker.

    Great video! These tips on finding good seat award deals are game-changers. I'd love it if she could share the sites you use to find award seats and any info on when different airlines open their award space. Thanks for making travel planning so much easier!

      we like to use seats.aero for broad searches. Here's a tutorial for how to use it: ua-cam.com/video/t6GMcEtxxnY/v-deo.html
      For when airlines open award space, I usually just google "when airlines open award space" and rely on the different blog articles, especially if you have your eyes on a particular airline.

    Buying LH Miles and More to fly first class. Cheaper than paying cash and booking more than 2 weeks out 💪🏻

    Interesting discussion! Ive long bought hotel points like hilton and ihg because theres just better cards to place spend.
    Points are a tool, but i do believe theres a large contingent who are taking trips with points who cant afford those trips. Nothing is free. If you cant afford to buy points or have that 200 dollar budget you probably shouldnt be taking that trip. Thats a hard reality for people to face.

    • @geobreezetravel
      @geobreezetravel  7 місяців тому

      For sure! It can sometimes be difficult to maximize Hilton and IHG points, but the points sales make it so it's cheaper to stay at those hotels vs. using straight cash or transferring points.
      And I absolutely agree that there are a lottttt of people who go on business class flights that can't actually afford the trips and I'm a little concerned about what credit card shenanigans they might not be able to dig themselves out of to get those points if they truly can't even afford 10% of the sticker price of the trips they're taking.

    Instead of focusing on maximize value per points, its better to focus on whether the flight or the property is even worth that amount of points and whether you will even actually ENJOY it before buying points. Some hotels for example, aren't even worth $2,000 per night but more like $600 at most so the cents per point

      that's a good point. Like I'm much more of a city person and not an island resort person, so I don't do a lot of reviews on all-inclusives.
      However, just because I don't enjoy all-inclusive hotels doesn't mean other people won't. I usually just use the posted sticker price since that's the best proxy I've got for how market dynamics values a particular hotel experience.

    Buying stuff that everyone gets for free is wild.

    • @geobreezetravel
      @geobreezetravel  7 місяців тому +7

      Spreading "everyone is getting [enough] points for free" is wild.
      Enough free points to cover multiple luxury trips a year is not the reality of most people. I get a lot of DMs from people saying they are running short on points due to low expenses, not being from the USA, not wanting to get 20 cards, etc.
      This episode provides some strategies for how to get around that.

      I buy them all the time too. I don’t have high expenses to amass points and the math always works in my favour to just buy them instead of the cash fare

    For those of us who don’t run a business profiting off of award travel, it’s not worth putting time and energy into a transfer point or purchase point redemption for travel to save a few hundred bucks. There’s way higher ROI in just booking cash and focusing time and energy on growing your investments and business.

    • @geobreezetravel
      @geobreezetravel  6 місяців тому +2

      definitely prioritize real money before points money.
      however, you don't need to have a business that profits off of award travel. here's a podcast episode we did on how a stay-at-home-mom was able to use points and miles to save her family a few thousand dollars each year on travel (no points instagram required)
