Not sure if plastics deserves S-tier 🤔 I heard it has a pretty high dropout rate
yeah I mean he kevin dropped out of it as well , I think
Underrated comment
LMAOOOOO
Lmao
Top tier comment
Man, this is one of the most unbiased objective tier list on the internet. I’ll send this video to my psychiatrist neighbor, so he’ll know his place.
What’s wrong with him? Why do some people not like us? 😂
@@nnhp plot twist: they don't want to get diagnosed with the mental disorders that they keep denying they have so they throw u under the bus
When pathology is not considered medicine in the era of evidence based medicine.
Everyone belittled pathology until COVID hit.
Yup including preventive and social medicine...... Biased right.....
It's a joke bruv
Pathology aren’t real doctors
😂.
Pathology: good compensation (especially relative to number of hours worked), diversity of knowledge, get to sit down and drink coffee/tea, very little call duties, and are absolutely needed to make a diagnosis so that clinicians/surgeons can complete their jobs appropriately. Also, very nice culture, don’t have a lot of insurance company interactions, and none of the headaches of dealing with “certain patients”….a hidden medical specialty that people are missing out on
Totally!
Yes!!! Just because of the peer pressure of choosing the so called "real medicine".
Please delete this. We don’t want patho to be saturated lol
@@HS-hz5jt agreed. I enjoy relax lifestyle. Plz he or she should delete this comment before others sees it.
@@HS-hz5jt I agree with this gentleman. You must delete this now. Allow us to hermit in peace please.
Can you imagine every med student thinking like Kevin? No one will ever get treated for any illness, but everyone will be beautiful and with almost no visible scars, lol😅
Apparently "real medicine" is when you inject and implant silicone 😂
Totally unbiased thank you for actually spilling facts
I hope this is sarcasm.
@@sudo4526 it is 🤣
Every speciality is god tier when you have a disease corresponding to that field
Correct
This was way more objective than I was hoping for. Can I have a more subjective tier list pls? Thanks.
After watching this, I’m confident i’ll be making an informed decision when picking a speciality. Thanks so much!!
You fr?
fr fr i feel the same
Is this sarcasm?😭
I was not expecting this but I enjoyed it so much 😂
The anaesthetist and surgeon relationship sounds very different in the UK than the US. I don’t know if it’s because we’re much more heavily involved in critical care and leading the resuscitation of unstable patients around the hospital but more senior surgeons will frequently defer to trainees on a lot of aspects of patient care. If a surgeon was rude to me in theatre I’d call them out on it there and then.
Yeah it's weird aye. Where I work, surgeons are rarely rude to the anaesthetists (anaesthesiologist in the US). We manage their unstable patients that need to go to theatre so the surgeons are pretty pleasant to us.
I'm not sure what it's like in the US though. It might be due to the sheer amount of private work in the US so the relationship might become a bit parasitic. I don't know why you would work in private with a surgeon you don't like, sounds painful, there's plenty of work to go around.
Issa joke loosen up britbongs. Atleast at my location, anesthesia and surgery mostly stay out of each other's way
Neurology is the best specialty. Physical diagnosis. Medical imaging. Complex array of pathology (more diseases than all other specialties combined). Cutting edge technology (multimodal imaging, biologics, nusinersen, intraoperative monitoring, etc). Real opportunity to connect with people and make a profound difference in their lives. What is a more meaningful career: helping people to walk the aisle at their child's wedding or helping people to achieve society's arbitrary beauty standard for ideal size of a given organ? ;)
As a current medical student and potential future neurologist, couldn't agree more! Would love to chat about neurology if you're down.
@@Annatheamazing2 hey anna id love to chat about it, not a med student but doing pre med rn. Which year are you in?
@@ky5365 I’m done with M1!
@@Annatheamazing2 oh so does M1 mean first year? I'm not used to the term but that's cool!
Are you in the US?
@@Annatheamazing2 because if so, isn't med school very expensive there?
I was lost between them and now I agree with most of the stuff you said 😂
This was hilarious! 😅 Thanks for sharing this with us! 👋🏽👨🏾⚕️👍🏾
Thanks for making this video Kevin, even if there was some bias ;)
“You must really hate people to be a Radiology”
Me: 🙋🏻♀️
😂 Me to: 🙋🏻♀️
@@LevelUP84 why did he say that 😂
@@jackcj1408Because radiologist hardly interact with their patients..
This is why I follow you. Do More vids like this
Do pt 2 for the rest of the specialties.. LOL 😂😂❤️
I went to sleep yesterday to this thinking it was a serious tier list. I watched your part two this morning and laughed so much and didn’t realize u were joking in the first video. Watching this while I sleep rn and it’s so funny. Im tryinngggg to sleep
"If you disagree you are wrong!" "Pathology, wtf is that?"LOLOLOLOLOL
the guy literally made a video about becoming a pathologist 4 days earlier too xD
@@mattxx3120 Yes haha, the humor on this video is savage!
“pathology… is that even medicine”😭
I laughed a lot. Loved the video.
"Every one wants to be plastic surgeon except kevin jbaal"
I hate how people look at pathology...probably the smartest people in the hospital with the widest breadth of knowledge and some people don't even know they're physicians.
I agree, pathology is one of the most crucial medical specialties. Pathologist have to have a such an indepth knowledge of a variety of diseases to diagnose and aid clinicians for patient management.
As someone going into pediatrics, I have a few thoughts😂 Hilarious though!
Can't agree with ya... Psychiatry is the sole reason not everyone has gone to waste yet... Yall judging it because it's not touchy and doesn't require almost any physical contact, even though it's one of the most important specialtied.
Man, if pathology isn’t medecine then radiology isn’t neither 😂😂
It is
This video is obviously the point of view of him. In my opinion every medical specialty is very important cause all contribute in one way or another in the wellness of people and our country. Saying that some specialties are not real medicine is very disrespecful of you in my opinion. There are people that actually like those specialties and in fact contribute a lot to our country and to medicine.
You must be the funniest at parties
It's very clear and obvious that he's only joking. It's just for laughs.
@@daviddd0928 yes I am MF the fact that I defend my thoughts and that I dont like injustice and inequalities in medicine doesnt mean that Im not funny.
@@ahmadbahja8341 I dont Care but I defend my point of view too.
@@agoodspottorelax some people are taking this seriously tho
GPs getting tap on the shoulder felt nice! Thanks! ;)
this will make a good watch !
This is so much better than you just regurgitating and ranking your experiences from your “Why I Didn’t...” series.
Loved this video. I want to be a paediatrician I think. Not sure yet but I’m leaning towards it
Loved this video ! So funny !!!😂😂😂
I'm a Medical student in Portugal experiencing those things and I mean, I just loved the video, made me laugh so much :))
hey is medicine good at portugal i am a med student in egypt but will move to us certainly
He's gotta be trolling 😂😂😂
I knew it was a joke when he put Dermatology and Anesthesiology in D-tier 😂
This was hilarious ty
Neurosurgery is for me without any question the best specialty 🧠😍
How dare you put neurosurgery in B-tier , do you understand the complexity and the magnitude of the cases you have to deal with daily . JK it was hella fun thanks for the nice vid 😂❤️
Pretty lit video brah! Definitely enjoyed this one!
Thanks for the ENT ✌️
Make a video on how can imgs make their path into competitive specialtys
Kill steps do clinical rotations in those competitive specialties. Do research and volunteer etc.
3rd yr Ross student here and we had 1 orthopedic surgeon And 5 intervention radiologists out of 500 applicants.
Everyone was mostly IM and FM, about 30 general surgeons.
No way you put nuc medicine in last... that is so interesting, literally ask anyone in the field... its so cool
It's really refreshing seeing this type of content from you🤣🤣😅😅, but I don't agree about anesthesiology😅🤔
Wait wait could you elaborate on the OBGYN one ? 😭 The way I was left with a « your dream job will make you miserable » and no explanation makes me wanna cry help pls
dont take poopman's opinion
The average patient barely knows their doctor unless they’re in a simple practice like internal medicine, family practice, or pediatrics. How many people that have had surgery have actually talked to their surgeons or anesthesiologists for more than a minute at a time?
This is just hilarious! Even though he called me “D” tier! Lol!
lol. that opening S-tier run-down! 100%!! well done.
This was so objective>>>
I like that you started with a joke: “the best and the brightest go into Plastic Surgery” ROFLMFAO!!! But it’s good that you feel this way… keep it up, champ.
Haha 😂😂
My thoughts exactly 😁
Ophthalmology most underrated speciality 🥰 and yet Vision is why you currently reading this 😍
Damn, the nuclear medicine thing not even being medicine really hurts.
we all know thats exactly wat u think in ur deep soul
and i agree
I was waiting for you to get to clinical immunology so I could throw hands if you put it somewhere lower than A
I love this haha
Make a separate video on future of dentistry
Any thoughts on vascular surgery? Or cardiac surgery?
Episode 2 coming
Clearly General Surgery is SS tier because back in the day there wasn't direct plastic surg route and people had to do GS before plastics :D
LOL I wasn’t expecting this from you but you literally made me snort a few times. “It’s all fun and games until you get poop on you” bahaha
lmao, nice video. Something in that tea.
This video made me laugh so hard 😂 quality content right here
whoooa wheres optho, vasc, and interventional rads lol those were the only ones im interested in
Why is dermatology so low? It pays really well and has great lifestyle
@ but it pays better than most “real medicine “ specialities. So what u on about 😅
@ the whole video is a VERY disrespecful joke in my opinion.
I hope med students dont take this video seriously. For the graduates, is very funny
Neurosurgery is always S+. Best of the best. Best physicians in the hospital, always. Get to work with the brain. Patients love you if you’re good. And get the moneys like no other.
Exactly 🤝
don't forget its hard as shit to get in, training takes 7 years minimum, and you have no free time to spend the fortune you make
In my country, infectious disease is a subspecialist under interna medicine department, so it's still F rank?
If you got diagnosed with an invasive melanoma you would think dermatology was real medicine.
Add where PM&R ranks in the next video!!
So funny 😂
100% objective, not at all subjective.
Dr. Kevin Jubbal: proceeds to being 100% subjective, gives personally biased ranking
include oral and maxillofacial surgery in part 2!
Sooner or later everyone decides to be a radiologist, some sooner, some later!
Not really
As someone who dreamed longingly of becoming an Obgyn, I love the thought of being able to take care of women and babies. Watching your video and seeing it scored as an F tier make me wonder if I had chosen the wrong path haha 😂 how miserable is it?
My Aunt is an Obgyn and it works well for her. The hours can be long and there's always 2+ lives at stake, but she views it positively and has a great work/life balance. You got this!
going to do MD in Europe, What requirements should be fulfilled to match residencies in the USA
Anesthesiologist def A tier, if you're a Chad the surgeon doesn't yell at you, he looks you in the eye and says this is my fault! Not yours, thank you for making my job possible Anesthesia! I love u
I was expecting you’d say “is psychiatry even medicine?”😂
I mean inpatient psych call IM consults on anemia even!😂
Kevin you cracked me up through out this video 😂😂😂😂😂
you don't even mention rheumatology, which in most surveys is listed as one of the highest in career satisfaction and life/work balance
What about General Surgery?? 🤔🤔
Please include Pulmonology in the next video :') we matter too
What about oncology? I would considered this field to be medicine
A-tier
D-tier
Pediatrics - basically a veterinarian but the pets aren't as cute.
😂
My top choices
Dermatology
ENT
Radiology
Pathology
“derp”
A person's choice of specialties is really objective, I think Kevin is really biased towards plastic surgery because he is a plastic surgeon himself....
I honestly have no interest in plastic surgery
This video may be slightly be misguiding people
*Dropout Plastic Surgeon
r/whoooosh
It's very clear and obvious that he's only joking. It's just for laughs. I don't understand how some people didn't get that.
Is this a reverse troll?
Poop Squad is definitely S-tier.
Make a vid on why I didn’t do cardiothoracic surgery plz
The smartest kid in our sixth grade class became a plastic surgeon. Also, my cousin became a plastic surgeon.
best video yet
So if I am immune to bullshit, I can do well in anesthesiology?
Radiologist ❤️
medical specialties that are half soft and half hard sciences are called chub specialties
I enjoyed
You didn't say anything about ophthalmology?
Is that a Senna helmet in the background?:))
did he leave ophthalmology out? I skipped around
Wannabe Pathologist here. Love u still.
Public Health & Preventative Medicine “Is that even medicine” lolol
PLEASE!! Can you please finish the list!
Emergency medicine he got it on point
You forgot ophthalmology
Really missed the opportunity to say b tier for bone on ortho
Where is Oral and maxillofacial surgery??
