    Hello Julia,
I am so thankful that I do not have this problem, but isn't it wonderful that there is a cheap solution to restoring older stamps. I will certainly keep this in mind if I ever see my rubber stamps drying out. I store my rubber stamps in a dark area of my craft room, and away from sunlight. If rubber stamps are not treated at the right time no doubt they would simply go on to perish. I am so happy for you that you were able to rescue all those stamps off their wheels some weeks ago, and it was nice seeing this follow up video.
I pray that you, and your family have a blessed Easter. Hugs from Gloria! 🥰🐣🌻💖

Hi Gloria - and a Blessed Easter to you!! Fortunately, I don't have many dry stamps, but it is a good thing to have in your toolbox in case you need it. I was surprised at how well that stamp took the ink this time! Compared to the original stamping it was impressive!
      Take care, Juia

I was a printing press operator and occasionally we would super clean our rubber ink rollers with pumice and warm water mix, then we had this "rubber roller rejuvenator" paste we would run through the roller train and let set for a while (whatever the directions said). We also had stuff to rejuvenate the rubber blankets (offset printing transfers ink image from plate cylinder to blanket cylinder which then is squeezed onto the sheet of paper between the blanket cylinder and the smooth impression cylinder)

I wonder what was in the rubber rejuvenator? Were you in newspaper printing press by chance?

This video just popped up on my YT feed today - 6/18/24 - and I'm now heading downstairs to unmount my roller stamps, store them as you showed us in the second video, and will try the glycerin on ANY old rubber stamps that don't work well. Thank you!!

I guarentee you will use your roller stamps now!! They are absolutely perfect for minislimline cards and you'll be able to put them on a stamp platform - YAY!!!

@@SeniorSusieStamps So for follow-up, the glycerin worked to rehydrate the stamps? I corralled my 3 rollers, but worked on birthday cards for July 2024 instead today. But I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again!

This is wonderful, thank you so much. Also, on Lindsey’s Frugal Crafter channel, she uses glycerin to refill her Versafine embossing ink pad (she works it into the pad with an old debit card). Like your stamp reconditioning tip, 😉💸☺️Money saved is money earned ☺️.

Wow! What a great tip! I never knew we could renourish the rubber. I'm glad that right now, I do not have to do this but it's good to know there might be a way to keep a favorite stamp. Thanks!❤g

I purchased a paper bag full of Stamping up stamps off Facebook Marketplace, but they aren't taking ink well. I am definitely going to try this! I will let you know how it works. I have to say, buying those stamps sent me down a huge rabbit hole of card making and art journaling. I can't decide if it was a good thing or not! Lol

Good to know! I think getting them, as you said, before they get too far gone and dried out would be the key. ❤️🇨🇦

Oh I agree! It was surprising to me how well that stamp took the ink! I wasn't sure how well it would work. I also think leaving it for several days probably helped also.

I use glycerine water in the final clean of all my rubber stamps every time I use them. I think it helps. But I don't have any scientific proof...just a feeling.

Just fyi… Another option that I tried and really like for $5 at a Canadian Walmart, is to buy the dry eraser which has felt on the bottom and works very smoothly as well. 😘
