      how can i make an hole colour range transparent? lets say all pixels that r darkgreen to very light green shall be transparent, how??

    The edit in 3:25 is hilarious!
    Moves cursor to Alpha Hashed, presses it and while we expect to hear hashed BOOM! Alpha blend! Both auditorial and visual!! You tricked me and I loved it! Also cool tutorial as always!

    (solved, kind of) I don't know why but the noise texture is giving no output in my final result. In yours half face is solid but even though I did tried changing values a lot, my output is still purely the magic one.
    Edit: I've realised the problem is due to mix rgb. Whatever I input in color 1 node is the only resultant output for some reason. I can't figure out the reason though.
    Edit 2: I've figured out a solution after hours. After messing with the scale on the mapping node connected to gradient texture, it finally works now. I put the scale up to around 20.

    Great tutorial, one question, how would you go about making it have thickness, the top part? Would you use a solidify modifier?

      Solidify wouldn’t do it, I’m thinking some math node situation but I’m not sure

      Change noise node to voronoi, set to Manhatten or Chebychev. (Or 2 voronoi with a math node on Subtract) Fiddle with the values to get a more Square design. (Google "blender Scif Fi plates") Or instead of a noise node, add an image texture node, and add your own black & white design.

    Is there any way to add depth to the opaque parts - like a solidify based on the alpha? This will really help in giving it some realism when we composite the models into real-world footage.

    Very cool technique! Sorry to ask a possibly noob question: what is the main difference between Cycles and Eevee? I can see Cycles looks better here a little bit, but are there specific situations to look out for using one over the other?

    How do these guys do it so easily! I’m just trying to make one stupid image texture with a transparent background! I’ve been through several videos today and none of them are helping me with my specific problem and any time I try experimenting I get no closer to what the results I want.

    is it possible to make these transparent textures cast shadows on other objects?
    EDIT: figured it out on Eevee haha.
    EDIT2: is it possible to make the texture shadows follow realtime with, say, texture coordinate movement?
