Of course, that's Taito for you, whenever they made an action game like this or a rail shooter like Operation Wolf. It was never a complex story, there was no nuance or depth. In fact, on balance, these games never really grew much farther beyond their core concepts, which were always dirt simple.

Not only one of the finest beat em ups I have ever played but one of the finest video games I have ever played. You can see the developers put so much love into this game and the music is an all time great soundtrack. This game is proof you don’t need 300 million dollar budgets and a 500 person staff to make a great game. You just need passion and a commitment to excellence. The Ninja Warriors Once Again is a love letter to 90’s Japanese arcade style gaming briilance.
Ninja is very smooth to play with.He is an all around char you can display all his movelist on the enemies and if you get problem just spin and throw the problem at the problem you know.😂
@@Burn_Angel Not at all. His jetpack makes him the fastest and his combo hits all around him. He has no weaknesses at all. The speed in this game counts for nothing when you can literally stand and just swing your nunchucks and hit all around you. I can find problems with every character even Raiden. Ninja has none.
@@Burn_Angel No need to dodge you can just block, then you big swing, or mega crush or stance+ chucks to counter. Ninja is ridiculous. The only time you may need dodge is on the stages with the tanks firing but just walking back and forth pretty much counters that or grabbing someone and doing a throw gives you I frames. Kunoichi and the new girl have AWFUL reach, and laughable damage. Kunoichi's scorpion sting is ok but her stance moves are weak AF even some of the combos you can pull of are all flash and no punch. ONE combo from Ninja = A combo with the gauge finisher and a follow up throw with Kunoichi. Thats just silly. The gap widens from there. Her sword finisher with the gauge used to crush and now its nerfed into the ground. Any part you struggle through with any character Ninja walks through like wet paper. The entire game is easy mode with Ninja. The only time he's really outshined is the final boss. The new girl character breezes that fight.
This kind of opens the game up to a sequel though. I think the world needs those specific androids to prevent it from repeating. I feel like that was the true intent on the reason why they was program to self destruct. But I hope they make a sequel, maybe they have a saved core or information bank and get new bodies.
No joke, I managed to beat the original SNES game with my friends as a kid when I was like... Maybe 10 at most? Not bad for a beat-'em-up with a robot titty ninja.
I absolutely love the subtitle of this game. Once Again. Man it just makes me feel like I'm doing something awesome before I have even done said awesome thing.
Ah, that's a wordplay. Originally, this game was on arcades, Japan only. It was just 'The Ninja Warriors'. When it got ported to the Super Famicom, it got called 'The Ninja Warriors Again'. Outside of Japan, they never got the Arcade version, so the Snes port was just called 'The Ninja Warriors', maybe because Again sounds like a sequel. Now, knowing that, seeing how this remaster is called Once Again feels even more epic in my opinion.
Ninja is probably one of the more easier characters to beat the original game with despite how difficult he is to use. Definitely not beginner friendly.

Yeah, this is more or less how I play Ninja. In fact, on balance, I've found Ninja to be, by far, the most versatile of all the Warriors. Side-scrolling players who are used to delivering aerial attacks might be put off at first by his lack of a standard jump, but it's only a minor inconvenience when weighed against all the trade-offs he gets in return. Ninja's dash attack more than makes up for any speed deficiencies he might possess. As one of only two Warriors who can walk while carrying enemies and objects, he can make the best use of his throws and environmental weapons. And it has GOT to be said, his Up Throw's ability to just sweep away entire rows of enemies absolutely CANNOT be undervalued. Ninja may LOOK like just your standard "big, dumb bruiser" archetype at first glance. But get used to his play style and you'll quickly find that he's ANYTHING but but a cookie-cutter model. In fact, I would daresay that any two-player team would be foolish not to have a standing slot open for Ninja on every playthrough. He's practically a recipe for success. At least, that's just MY thinking on it.
@iconoclast575 Pretty sweet to see, and I'm eager to play - but it also looks like they took out your ability to grapple large sized bosses unless playing the Raiden. The SNES version not only let you grab anyone, but added little details like Kunoichi using extra hair to throw big enemies. Removing that is a massive cop out and also really sucks for Ninja since it was kind of his schtick. Everything else looks nice though.
There really isnt a reason to play another character unless you just like them more. Ninja is the full package. His jetpack makes him the fastest when he's supposed to be the slow tank. His combo hits HARD and it hits 360 that only one other character has. His giant swing can easily free you from crowds. His down throw deletes enemy health. The new stances now give you 'swing nunchucks' which just destroys. Best character by FAR.

Need more 2D remakes
Please, Kamaitachi run!
How do you throw the opposite direction when you do the spin throw with Ninja? I can't figure it out! :(
There really isnt a reason to play another character unless you just like them more.
I CANT WAIT!!!!
