    I have not eaten anything with sugar in it for over 5 years. I use Stevia & Monkfruit. I also do not eat anything white. (No pasta, potatoes, rice, sugar & etc.) I have lost 100 lbs & feel great!

    I've quit sugar for 3 months except for fruits. I feel great, a lot more energy, a clear mind, plus lost excess weight. I also quit carbs and alcohol. I see no reason to ever go back to my old eating habits, I'm basically a new person, a younger version of myself.

      I think healthy carbs is good, good bread, and potatoes and all vegetables and fruits. What is bad is process food

    I’m 66, moderately active, about 30 lbs overweight. After watching Doc’s video I gave up all sugar, sugar derivatives (maltodextrin) and artificial sweeteners EXCEPT for 2 tsp in the morning with coffee. That was three weeks ago. I don’t do the scale I do the dress size. I’m down an entire dress size and ladies know what I mean when I say “entire”. The size 10 is now comfortably loose. I have a neurological degeneration and the improvement in energy and activity is greatly increased. I feel like a recovered addict 🙏☦️

      I’m 74 I don’t know a young person in their late teens is maybe more less body fat no muscles, I had 23in around my waist, but anyway, white dress size 9 I know pretty well they change the measurements women’s clothes to make them feel better about themselves.

    I had puffy feet, feeling crappy. I cut out sodas, white bread, junk carbs, processed sugar. Started low carb (not keto) and lost 10 pounds in just over a week. I'm already feeling good and my feet went back to normal. That crap is poison, no other way to describe it.

      You feel achy because of the Wheat flour in the cake. Feel even better by removing the Wheat and all whole Grains, your joints will thank you. Plus you'll loose more weight because sugar is in all of it.

    Great information as usual Dr., I had an A1C blood glucose reading in the "concern" level. After two months of strict reduction of sugar, pasta, ice cream cookies etc, my A1C level was reduced into the "good" A1C glucose level.

    I like to intermittent fast but I find it to be a challenge to take my vitamins and supplements... I prefer to take them in the mornings and with and with food, so what happens is that I end up missing some of the supplements because I can only take so many at once. Anyway, Im going to really try to stop sugar. Bye for now.

    Your videos are great and I've had bad cravings for sweet stuff like chocolate and cake. I have a bloated stomach and. I'm going to do this as my stress levels are not good.     I'm 45 an was told by my doctor that my liver is too big and stores fat. I thought I eat quite healthy but did eat a lot of pasta and noodles and cake. She said lots of water and less carbs. I was motivated to take care of my health and did what she told me. I instantly lost weight and feel fitter and don't stress eat so much any more. Wow!

    Such a great video! All the important aspects are clearly elaborated on. Fasting for 2-3 days will also accomplish all this but on a much greater level! For example: testosterone in men will jump to 300% production on the 3rd day!

    Thank you im going to give this a try! Ive already cut out all soda and most of all other sugars for the most part, now that im older i dont really enjoy a lot of sugary things anymore and ive also from fue to my back pain the last few years ive gained some weight what kinda makes since is my doctor said i have some water weight but never told me anything i could do to help it but this sounds perfect and the way to go.

    Because I love a little bit of honey in my Greek yogurt, plain yogurt, that is. The problem is that I don’t like the taste of plain yogurt, I have used Stevia but sometimes I miss my honey.

    Thank you for a good overview of what sugar is doing to the body. It would be an interesting diet that would focus on the restriction of just sugar instead of an entire macronutrient. I have been carnivore for about a month and my general health has improved just like your seven day list has with a few additional ones.

    I stopped eating refined sugar almost 3 years ago, due to severe motor n sensory neuropathy. I lowered carbs and began a routine resistance exercise program daily. I have lost over 100 lbs but most importantly rarely does my feet go numb and my circulation by far better. Sugar is wicked

      No nightshades items, fruits, vegetables, minimal carbs ie I eat a hamburger and take off top of bun and eat vegetable. chicken mostly with vegetable. Breakfast is rolled oats muffin with bananas in it, lunch is locarb tortilla with cheese or salad, never snacked all my life but now make sure I eat 3 fruits a day. Exercise everyday for 45 min, no cardio only use resistance band as I have ankylosing spondylitis. I go to p.t. Every 2 weeks for suggestions to change up my exercises. 100 lbs took me a full year, slower the better. I still have 40 to 50 more to go and it’s going very slow now. I never exercised before n I’m 61, ate anything I wanted, n I was very unhealthy. I was just tired of severe inflammation n pain. You can do it!

    This is so true! I quit eating sugar for 2 years. I felt so much better. I started eating sugar again.😢 But I started cutting out the sugar again. I used to read all the ingredients on food in the grocery stores and it’s ridiculous how many things have sugar in them. Those 2 years I would eat grilled chicken(still do), potatoes and broccoli etc. I felt great and definitely my weight stayed down and normal. I don’t want to be skin and bones. But a normal healthy weight. 😊

    I never liked sugar… until I hit menopause. It’s so hard to cut that out completely. I’ll go one day, and I have a headache and I’m crabby. I know I just need to push thru the withdrawals (and I don’t even eat a lot of sugar) 😮

      Fruit sugar is fructose and there’s fiber with that to help move it out of our body. I would limit to one piece of fruit a day.

      Fructose is sugar and sugar is fructose. Lactose in milk and maltose in grains are also sugar.
      The fiber in a fruit only reduces the impact slightly, like a few percent. You get pretty much the same insulin and glucose spikes.

      Well, the battle between sugar in fruit and refined sugar will always have a lot of different opinions. Do what's best for you and your body. I did a fast and ate only fruits and vegetables and lost a lot of weight. I felt great, and my blood work was great. Nothing elevated, no insulin spikes.

    My glucose levels have started going up. I woke up this morning. It was 210 so may be hard to leave out the honeydew and bread.
