I just caught an entire vibe off that intro. The vocal ad-libs snapped too. Lol. Love to hear people enjoying the beats they made. Thanks for the review. 💯
Ave I have used Tone2 Gear for over 10 years now and I know you're a fan. Troels and his tiny team have produced plugins that are criminally under-reviewed, under-appreciated and tend to get dumped as fodder for euro trance preset junkies. Please please PLEASE could you do a roundup of their kit and why they're relevant in 2022 as I think they're some of the best creative tools for any genre of music. Now VST3 and mostly M1/M2 native. Love to you and all you do my man ❤
Great Warlock tour! a lot of interesting clues you bring about it. Nice beat too. I am engaged with Icarus and now Warlock came to add an impressive array of sounds presets within its amazing synthesis method.
I had the beta but bought the full version. I run it on logic which uses au but I use pluginguru's Unify as a VST3 host so I can use it in Logic!!! Pretty decent sounds! Great review!
Yeah i remember those vst when i used FL.... I loved their sounds! Now where did Slayer 2 go? hmmmm..Very nice! so does mpc support VSTs as a host? that would rock!
Can a sustain pedal be used with this synth? I don't see anything in the online manual about it. Kind of a show stopper for me as far as live playing goes.
This looks and feels like the spiritual successor to Firedbird. Even has Firebird presets. Not to mention the free 32bit Firebird seems to be M.I.A. on the website now.
Excuse me pls, how's the registration process? My DAW is offline. No network card on the workstation at all. Comments are disabled on the official Tone 2YT channel. Thx for information.
If this is better than ElectraX and the other synths, why doesn't Tone2 drop the price of their other synths to put it on the same (or lower) price point as Warlock? It does sound good though...
Bec of features. This synth has simple architecture that why it's cheaper, it doesn't mean it's weak. Those synths has more features like layers, synth types/engines, etc...
@@AveMcree Yeah, I have a gang of plugins too. I just didn't see how it was different from anything else that I have bought so far. I'll peep your videos on it tho lol.
Have you tried the Free Tone2 VST FIREBIRD ? and download the additional sound banks ? Really Grunty and fabulous. Try the Factory preset 1 with SYN HEAVY FM (There's 4 Banks of Presets and I think it's absolutely brilliant) of which lead me here but I'm already subbed.
You should see their audio demos for certain genres. Pure joke and totally unrelated to certain genres, especially the "trap" ones. If i'd be the dev i'd pay a few amateur producers to come up with some really good tracks instead of just shooting myself in the foot by trying to produce something that I have no clue about. That's why none of their plugins ever existed in my computer. Very shallow company.
@@AveMcree It's still too much for the kind of effects it comes with and the limitations. One would grab a way better synth for 70$ when it goes on sale if they're patient. And P.S., it is up to the user to create with it, indeed, but from a pure marketing perspective it's a huge mistake to not show the potential of a synth via high quality demos, i mean, why even bother putting up demos if they suck so bad and they actually drive people off from the product. The majority of potential music world customers shoot for "how will this synth make me sound like?" and when they press play on those demos and they hear crap, those potential customers who are probably genuinely interested but beginners would just get the wrong message and avoid the product.
@@costinvaly1 those demos on their site for this vst really are awful and uninspiring. And though I have it, with about 80 sound banks for it, I don't quite see why Electra x is so popular either.
a very basic synth, nothing new here, same plastic -pop sounds as all the others Tone2 synths , same old crap 69$ bucks? NO WAY, I could use it if is free
Tone2 Electra & Gladiator are actually really good, this not so much. I mean most presets on synths arent so great unless you find them individually. Go use Reaktor then if you really dont want "the same old crap" yet you prob dont sound design and rely on presets lmao
The effects are the weakest point of this synthesizer, very bad. If you use some combinations the sound distorts all over the place, it has no 'PAN' either of the waves or of the two layers, everything sounds mono, except for the delay that barely manages to give some depth to the sound. The wave menu is very poor in quantity and the use of the 'marketing' that says 14.000 is pure lie, they are 80+ and nothing more, there you stay. Some short bass sounds can be achieved and they sound very analog, but nothing more than that. The most I would pay for this Synthesizer would be no more than $19.00 but with a value of $69 it is very expensive, maybe if it came with 500 waves instead of 88, maybe.... Cheers!
Bad presentation, not the person, but too much talk. You have to play, open the sounds (play real songs) in a first part and then make discover the whole of the beast (the ergonomic and technical plan)
NOTE! There's no AU version of this plugin yet........ Keyword "Yet"... My bad have a great day
Waiting for the AU Version.
Pro trick: you can watch movies on InstaFlixxer. Been using them for watching a lot of movies lately.
@Pedro Will definitely, I've been using instaflixxer for years myself =)
@Pedro Will yup, I have been using instaflixxer for years myself :D
I bought this and I am working on a Mac I was wondering how did you get it installed and working on mpc . Any help is appreciated thx in advance .

Ok the beat at the beginning is nice af .

Agreed
I was waiting on you to drop a video on this plugin 🔥💯, I’m about to get this right now
Yeah, I had it for a few months but didn't have the time to do a video until yesterday.

Thanks Ave I was wondering about this one. Now I can buy it. I still need Electra x.
Firebird and gladiator I like both of those plugins a lot 👍🏾
Thanks Ave
Love your content 👍🏾
I used to like the Tone2 stuff a lot. Gladiator had a random tone generator that I could spend hours messing with.
Damn.... How did I forget about that feature on Giadiator??? Thanks for reminding me
Lol , recently I found Gladiator on an old flash drive I found, and I'm installing it as we speak😂
🤫🤫🤫🤐
Tone 2 plugs has been the product of maaaaaad bangers gauranteed.
Warlock is the same crap as Gladiator, nothing pro there
Im buying it only because the beat you made is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
During that beat in the beginning I kept looking at that Partials knob >_> it seems a steal at $70

You made me buy it! haha! 👍
It is an update of Firebird. And it is no Electra. You forgot to mention the mighty Icarus. And Nemesis, Rayblaster, and Saurus. All great synths.
yeah its exactly, Firebird clon with different skin, same crap but not free 69? WTF ?
Out of all them you mentioned warlock is better in my opinion also has an amazing arp generator
@@verifiedcustomerid8046 This is not a clone. It is a more modern, updated, and expanded version of Firebird.
Lol that intro! Already!
I have Tone2 FIREBIRD VST. It’s a great freebie VST plug-in.
Well that was nice. Do I need another Soft synth.......yes of course. :D
You can never have enough VSTs
Cool! Thanks!

I'll get it when they make an AU version. Besides Electra 2 and Icarus 2 are so powerful so I'm set.
This will be great for Logic Pro X
Nice one 👍🏾
no cap thought the click track was my apollo going mental 😅
It is the spiritual successor of Vanguard/Firebird, it's very very good. I jumped on the beta months ago I wasn't disappointed.
