Metal heads don't have any particular look, it's more of an attitude. Good choice to react to!

Any person on earth can be a metalhead. You don't need to look the part to love the music. You can look the part, if you so choose, you won't be judged on that, but neither you'll be judged if you don't.

Having this as your first Priest experience is like riding a bike with a jet engine. BAM. I grew up with Priest...when this one came out, it dropped my jaw. Judas Priest stopped fucking around and got serious...this is in my playlist before I hit stage...always gets the blood cooking. Cheers from Canada.

Painkiller (1990) is a fantastic album.
Not one bad song or filler in it.
It's a head trip from begining to end and undoubtely one of the greatest Speed Metal album ever.
Warmly recomended that you listen to all of it.

Actually (to some of us), the album Painkiller represents the very pinnacle of Heavy Metal. I believe that this album perfectly represents what Heavy Metal should be. NO DISRESPECT to Sabbath or Maiden (bands I also love), it's just that the Painkiller album really stepped up the intensity and heaviness without sacrificing melody or complexity.

Good for you girl ...you tell em. I myself am a 28 yr old woman and I love metal and Judas priest are one of my favorites to listen to. The fact of the matter is I think metal is one of the more complex and talented genres and there's so many feelings and enjoyment to be taken from it. It's not all about screaming and heaviness. For example Judas priest's song Victim of Changes from their Sad Wings of Destiny album is quite different from their usual fast tempo of most of their material, however it's still so satisfying when it comes to the feeling it evokes and the amount of detail that was put into it.

Ha ha ha... I've heard this song a hundred times, and I still react the same way you do - banging my head, lip syncing along, the whole bit. :-)
Screw the haters and gatekeepers - sure there's a stereotypical metalhead look that comes right out of the late 80s, but that was a long time ago and metalheads are everywhere and look like anyone these days. No one who meets me ever would suspect I'm a metalhead - I'm a straight-laced, white-collar middle-management office worker - but I've liked heavy music since I was a kid in single-digits. We're everywhere! I've never understood that mentality that only people who fit a certain mold should be accepted - after all, if more people like the music (and this goes for anything really), then more people will buy it, which means more people will make it, which means more awesome music for us to enjoy!

There are also many females right now on the rock scene that play guitar in rock bands. Don't listen to people who throw stereo types at you.

SHARISSEQUEENBEE, the next Judas Priest song that you need to react to is Beyond the Realms of Death. Based on your own comments about melody and emotive guitar solos, you will absolutely LOVE it.

One of the tenants of Metal is to not care what anyone thinks about your musical preferences but there are certain people who like the pigeonhole a person and judge them, based on any ‘non metal’ (like your intro music). Anyway, don’t worry about those people. You be you. That’s what Metal is about.

Couldn't have picked a better song and Rob Halford is one of the best ever. Loved your reaction

Best Judas priest song ever and maybe the best song what is ever made and even very difficult 20minutes in the end!

OK 🐝, I gotta ask... what part of the Island are you from? I ❤️ the accent. Anyway, I appreciate your view on music and if you get a chance, Halford/ Hearts of Darkness or Bruce Dickinson/ Trumpets of Jericho.

I think this attitude comes from that a lot of metalheads get really dedicated. They know every album of every artist. They know every song. They know every band member (current and past). And then they meet people who say "Oh, I looooove metal!" and they go "Oh, yeah? Can you name more than one Motörhead song?, Do you know what NWOBHM stands for? Can you name the name of a Black Sabbath singer not named Ozzy?". And the response is "No, but I like that song with Judas Priest with those crazy drums in the beginning". Metalheads are tired of people who wants to like metal and who pretend to be on the same level but in truth only knows very little about the genre. Those people are labelled Posers and is frowned upon. After their ignorance is revealed that's the end of the conversation. Don't be that person. Don't run up to a metalhead and think you will be getting a hug because you like a song by Metallica.

I agree with your points early on in the video, ma'am. Anyone can appreciate metal! I recommend checking out more Judas Priest especially their 70's stuff. Dreamer Deceiver coupled together with Deceiver would be good.

Please consider In This Moment - Black Wedding, it's a duet between Maria Brink and Judas Priest's Rob Halford, their voices sound great together.
