      I definitely agree with you, if they had let it go talk to her dad years ago, they would not be any more deaths. I cannot believe a family would enable a kid like that. He’ll go on it if you hadn’t gotten, caught the teachers and enable his children, and it becomes a snowball effect.

    Did anyone else find it strange that his family rolled up when he was about to confess in Illinois? So they knew he was sick and hid him in la? Or they were a twisted family entirely and they were covering up for him. That family needs to be investigated.

      That was the corroborating evidence the detective should have used in conjunction with the DNA. Then they should have gone after his alibi and anything else. Cook county investigators and prosecutors dropped the ball super hard.

      They need to be BROUGHT UP ON CHARGES for contributing to the other homicides!!!
      His family enabled him to continue killing when they could have stopped the carnage RIGHT THEN and gotten him the help he desperately needed.
      They are as culpable as he is and they also deserve prison time.

      They did this last week with "The Black Swan" and part 2 contained over 30 mins of part 1. I skipped to just the trial and verdict. Waste of time.

    Having watched my fair share of these made me realize that what kept me safe my whole life is the fact that every time I enter a room nothing happens: It doesn't get lit by my smile, I don't own it and I'm not its center. I thank the lord for that.

      It's easy to look at someone you know is a killer and say "he has a coldblooded expression in his eyes." I can see a good looking guy in the younger photos. Hollywood good looking? No - average good looking. His personality was off putting to those interviewed so that is probably why someone who should have still been able to get a girlfriend and friends, repelled people.

      That struck me as odd too. I think she surprised him with the vigorous fight she put up and it snatched him from his rogue state just long enough to realize that he was out of control, but not enough to stop him from trying again.     He was from Glenview, IL, where I grew up. There have only been a few murders in the 55 years I lived there. This was the worst. It's too bad his family didn't let him confess to Tricia's dad.

      ​@@Lvu24 Hollywood people do. I'm not even kidding. I have a close friend who has been personal chef for several mid scale actors/actress and he doesn't even begin prep and cooking until 8 pm. So dinners are typically between 9-10.
      He always said they reminded him of ancient royalty, as they would come home, rest until late evening and wake to eat dinner, then would finally find their beds after 2am.

    So if Ashton Kutcher had picked up his date on time for dinner, she would not have been stabbed to death. He strung her along and only showed up at 10:45 leaving her vulnerable to attack. Disgusting.

    I have two daughters. I can not even begin to comprehend what it would be like to experience something so unbelievably heartbreaking involving my daughters. But even more so than that, I can't even begin to imagine the amount of wrath and carnage i would unleash upon the poor sap who targeted one of my little girls. I pity whoever that would be.

    I remember reading about this story because of the Ashton Kutcher aspect. He really thought that it was a red wine stain and had no idea his girlfriend had been murdered. RIP to all the victims 😢

      Who mistakes red wine for blood after you see the crime scene photos? Not saying he had anything to do with it, but I think he knew what he saw and panicked knowing he was there to pick her up. That's why he called his boy, Danny.

    Why is he killing all these women? He can get almost any girl he wants as shown by his multiple relationships. Usually guys who do this are doing it because of jealousy and hurt because they keep getting rejected. He was rejected by the first girl, but plenty of others seemed to like him. Some people are just evil.

      They never say they do solve it in 48 hours. The whole 48 hours thing comes from the fact that the most and best evidence you're going to get comes within the first 48 hours (hence the name of that other show). Also, the importance of 48 hours is if someone is missing if you don't find them within the first 48 hours they are usually dead which is why police departments have changed their policies on missing people.
