Congrats on the bike. I use XCP too and ACF50 on spokes plus lower forklegs. I spray all black parts with Silkolene Pro Prep (looks good though has to be reapplied after a wash, but dirt falls off - easy to apply) All worthwhile to keep that bike of yours pristine 👍
@@stevesherlockrides Does a bit of both. It's silicone (I think) spray on any black parts and leave (no need to polish). Shines like new and the dirt comes off next time you wash it.
You can get ACF-50 in an aerosol. Not sure how economic it is compared to the non aerosol bottle or to XCP. I have bought some XCP for the exact same reasons as you. ACF-50 is a faf. It's messy to apply. It breaks the atomizer bottles. In short, it's too much of a pain to bother with regularly.
Yes I ordered one and wasn't impressed last week. Where as the XCP comes out in a fine spray the ACF50 comes out in a jet/stream so lands on the bike to heavy and needs wiping in with a cloth
Hi I'm sorry I couldn't answer as it came fitted. I've now sold the bike to an American Priest bizarrely and regret doubt so but he said I will have first refusal if he sells when he returns to the USA
how does it hold up to heated parts? Such as the exhaust and engine, I've had issues with rust on exhausts and got some XCP after tons of research but worried how heat affects it. ACF I believe (maybe was XCP) says stains might be visible after heat exposure
Hi am not sure why you are getting rust on the exhaust. My Arrows system was stainless steel so didn't rust, I assume yours is SS also? I've never had any issues but I also use XCP Professional as leaves mo residues etc

Thanks will give it a go
It is a lovely looking bike, Steve!
Cheers Richard. Cant wait for the better weather. What do you ride?
@@stevesherlockrides I met you on Bruce’s ride out, swapped an SD GT for the GS I got the day before the ride.
So lost the excitement and street cred but now I don’t have to buy tyres all the time 😅
Hi Richard. You've entered the dark side lol
@@stevesherlockrides yeah, I guess! It’s all about miles, I don’t want to think about anything else 😎

How is this on plastic painted panels?
Which tailtidy is that? Bought the green/silver Thruxton RS about 6 weeks ago and looking around for one. Congrats on the new bike, great choice.

Hi Howard. Yiu OK pal?
@@stevesherlockrides yes thanks mate was out with James today for a nice run in the rain
Love the tailtidy. So much better than stock taillight.
Hello I love your "bubble" black sport, what's modele is it please ? I whant install the same piece. (Excuse for my english I'm French). Thank you ;-)
Your English is very good. The bubble is made by Powerbronze.
Why not the XCP on the spokes? Thanks
No reason but they are stainless steel and with regular washing they stay bright and clean

@@stevesherlockrides sadly not, chrome is most certainly rust prone
@@antonio7334 oh if chrome then yes it will rust sorry. I would use the XCP and then wipe off with a cloth
@@stevesherlockrides but back to my original question, will it just burn off?
@@antonio7334 I can't answer that as my header and exhaust are SS. Sorry
Is yors back shock absorbers softer or stiffer than originalls?
Stiffer. Needed to be as im 92 kgs
