As a Canadian I am proud of our education. Not so proud about the donut fact. Bitter-sweet, Sweet-bitter?
One fact about Africa as a whole: Meat is not "hung" for weeks! Hours, more like. Minutes, goats on Ngong Hills... I'm from Kenya. (Can't and never have run!) but I can stand at the Equator while looking at REAL snow on Mt Kenya, wondering what a one-horse sleigh is! Jingle Bell! Great video!
Very interesting, thanks!
I know it's not her job to know EVERY correct pronunciation but can she PLEASE ask a native speaker how to say Country/City names. (Medellin is Med - eh - yeen)
I wish you could have shown where each country is on the map. 🙂🖖💕
Excellent.
Interesting!
I like that bikes are, once again, the main thing Denmark is known for :D
Although being widely used all over Denmark it is particularly a Copenhagen thing.
21:15 Cava or Gahwa in Arabic, also known as Java, was named after a region in Ethiopia, in
which Coffee originly came from.. The taste of that Cava has nothing to do with Coffee except the smell and color..
Interesting video, though I wish she or whomever completes the research would have provided the correct pronunciations to certain names she mentioned, or asked a native, lends more credibility to what she's sharing...hopefully other videos are better in this regard
On one of our cruises, we were instructed not to wear anything camouflage on our excursions
Now I want a doughnut 🍩 🤤🇨🇦
Man, I miss Lucky’s donuts in Vancouver, BC. I live in Scotland now and they lack the donut obsession. (They have Tim Hortons here in a couple places but even back in Canada, Timmies kinda sucks)
I've had Kava! It's kinda like being on strong painkillers
Eh... You make it sound ike Belgium is about to split.. As a Belgian... I beg your pardon?=
indeed, while some wanr it the majority of the population doesnt want it.
Also maybe the world records of no officials politics would be more intresting to mention
@@skeven0 that's no longer a Belgian record.
Yeah, I found that a little sketchy too
Dominica isn't pronounced like Dominican Republic. It's pronounced dam aww knee ca
Rambo 3 thought me that Afghan sport
Aw, did Gibraltar not count for some reason? I was excited to see what the fact about it would be 😢
Gibraltar is not a member of the UN... it is part of the United Kingdom.
@@stevevernon1978 oh yeah.... I’m dumb lol
FYI the "H" in Bahia is silent
The Pylon lookout is still there in Sydney. But the view isn't worth the expensive ticket price.
Personally, I found the Pylon lookout worthwhile, and reasonably priced (by Australian standards). Interesting things to see and learn inside, a nice view, and way better for my fear of heights than the bridge climb!
I remember when it was free so - unsurprisingly - the current charge seems exorbitant.
Saw the white cats in the 70s, along with a model of the Sydney Harbour Bridge made out of matchsticks. The funny thing about the art deco style pylons is they have no structural purpose - they're purely ornamental.
Indeed, to allay public concerns that "there was nothing visibly holding the Bridge up".
OK, it took me 8 days at one day per letter. (ok, I missed a day) Your turn , Mental Floss, where's H thru R ? (also 72 countries)
what really happened to the library of Alexandria? three words: Moe, Larry and Curly😂
The first fact, about Afghanistan, I saw it on Rambo 3
I'm guessing East Timor is not exactly part of the United Nations, seeing how the fact on the country speaking Portuguese was NOT NEEDED? :P
(Watching these videos is so much fun with Captions on~)
i think they make the captions from the script, but sometimes if a line is removed by mistake during shooting, or because they decided the whole thing is too long, somehow the captions stay there.
@@stevevernon1978 That's what makes the captions such fun to have turned on. Bonus knowledge~! :D
People really need to give English speakers a heads-up that the "h" in Bahia is silent.😂
I have the sudden urge to eat a donut
Marseille is pronounced like mar-say, not mar-sigh. I think you've confused it with Versailles. ver-sigh. Yeah, French is hard
And Enver Hoxha's last name is pronounced "HAW-juh"
This is my favorite UA-cam video. It cured a murderous headache, for one thing.
No it didn't
Finland/Suomi having the most metal bands per capita didn't make the cut?
I feel like the entire list was going for lesser known facts, though at times, it did seem to mean it used less interesting facts to achieve that.
It's pronounced guy ana (Guyana)
I applaud your attempt 😂 I was going to say that for The Bahamas, it's "exoo-mah". Nothing like Eczema 🤣🤣
It's pronounced grey ney da (Grenada)
Sorry, not seen it until you reach to V
Brunei also based Center Force which famously included the battleships Yamato and Musashi which sortied out from there to the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
Love the video, but just one correction:
Grenada is pronounced as Gree-Nay-Dah, not Gre-Nah-Dah. Thank you very much! 🇬🇩🇬🇩🇬🇩
take your lies somewhere else
A congressman said about the 1983 invasion - 'You say Gree-Nay-Dah, I say Gre-Nah-Dah, let's call thing off.'
Proud donut eating college grad here
Messi 🇦🇷
Check your facts on kava, your comments are very misleading
for the love of god, it’s pronounced GUY-ANA, not GEE ANA, GUY-ANA!!!
"Literally translates to something like..." 🤔🤔🤔
You do know Australia has more cities other than Sydney .. and a "cat cafe " was the only fact about Australia?
Why ?
We are a vast country with many unique landscapes and animals .
Your only fact was about a cat cafe in Sydney NSW ?
What about our other states and territories?
"ONE FACT" is right there in the title.
Australia being the only country where its legal to eat the animals on their national coat of arms would have been a good fact.
Big yawn
Daaaaw. Look, how cute! Baby's first big yawn! Get the camcorder!
