23:18 Well, then, my distant cousin needs to learn how to drive...😀
Pirates wore an eye-patch just in case somebody shut out the lights for a sneak attack. There I was always acclimated to the dark.

22:50 - I can absolutely guarantee that I have no descendants at all from the 9th century - plenty of ancestors,of course.
Hey there is a series of books you might like called Uncle John's ultimate bathroom reader
23:07 Imagine trying to tell a stranger how you're both distantly related, in an effort to stave off an argument.🤪🥴🙃
The most normal fact I know: water in a cup does not get wetter if you add more water.
22:52 #80: Pedantic correction. Going back in time, we have ancestors. Going forward in time, we have descendants. So that fact should be "You have millions of ancestors, only going back a few thousand years."
Unless you're Philip J. Fry, then you've got a whole other situation going on. :D
😅😅😅😅😅 😮😮😮😮😮😮
Rocky mountain barking spiders got me so good!
The most normal fact I know. Everything that is alive now will die at some point in the future.
You want our normal facts? Ok, I'll go with a classic that is both highly unoriginal and very entertaining: "The plastic tips at the end of shoelaces are called 'aglets'. Their true purpose is sinister ."
Yeah, but can you spell aglet?
Great video, we have a great contrast between channels. You tell facts while we quiz people on how well they know their facts! Keep up the good work
The longest flight of a chicken is 13 seconds
No 88. An Australian told me this joke: There are 18 million sheep in New Zealand, 3 million think that they are human.
The best Kiwi answer for this was by the Prime Minister of NZ when the opposition complained about the large number of people emigrating to Australia. The PM said that it is a good thing because it increases the average IQ of both countries.
The best fact I know is both pistol makers Samual Colt and Gaston Glock share my birthday, 19th July.
Love this channel keep up the great work
Normal fact: Cats sleep 16 to 18 hours per day. 😹
That animal you were trying to pass off as Punxsutawney Phil ! Is in fact a prairie dog !
I totally recommend The Mütter Museum to any macabre tourists (or locals) in Philly. As a bonus for artists and medical students, the majority of the collection is only available to you! This private part of the collection dwarfs the public portion, and contains the "weirdest", most controversial and most interesting parts of the collection! Though, I'm pretty sure you have to organize seeing it ahead of time...
23:16 Family Trees are interesting. I did it once and traced the leniage all the way back to 1300s. I must say, it is quite diversity, the ancestory is all over the place and so far, it looks like it started out in Normandy and spread outwards to many countries....and yes, some famous ones too. This sort of thing has reminded me to get involved in this again, since there has been a few family civil wars as well. Mostly due to political circumstances....like the Scotland and England wars sort of thing. Yeah....you never know who is on that tree of yours.
Wait, with #62 (17:42), that means the two executive producers of this channel have the same name 🤯
(Yes, I know that Hank's real name is "William.")
The plant discussed in #82 is Linum usitatissimum (common flax, linseed) but pictured is Phormium tenax (New Zealand flax). They are unrelated except by name although Phormium can be used to make fibres as well.
Nerd
I saw Punxsy Phil in a third grade field trip. He was behind glass in the library. The building is also the police station and a fire station.

And cashews are the seed of a fruit.

1 in 2,000 human babies are born with a protruding tooth.
I was one of them.
Re: The birthday effect and some people maybe "holding on" -- that's something observed in newspaper obits. January and february see a huge spike in obits, as all the old men and ladies who didn't want to ruin the holidays start letting go. One time we had so many obits that we had less than a page of open space inside an 8-page paper -- and that was including the obit department trying to put obits on the front page! We called and chewed them out, they called and chewed someone else out, and it got authorized to add a half-sheet, making it a 10-page paper.
Factor 8??? Thats strange, because myself and other family members have the Factor V Leiden disease, which is also a clotting issue.

Most people have an IQ between 80 and 110, the people with IQ of around 80 are friendlier, people with average IQ of 180 are not empathic, and most can't relate to "normal" feelings.
22:52 (Fact 84): You meant ancestors, not descendants! Descendants are your great-(...)-grandchildren; ancestors are your great-(...)-grandparents.
Bangs like that should be called, "Front Mullets."
You want weird and bizarre facts? My boss, an operation manager, works wedding receptions and yet has never been married before. I mean, I don't know if she's specifically a wedding reception planner or organizer, but she does have the skills to set the tables, accommodate the guests and married couple, and decorate the room. She knows her wedding receptions, but never had _her_ wedding reception (not to suggest there ever was a proposal). Is that irony?
I did a DNA test just to find relatives so I could start a family tree and find the inbreds. I found them on a farm in Groningen, Netherlands in the 1600's 😅

Most normal...? Most of your house dust is dead skin
The longest possible walk between two points isn't a more-or-less direct line from Cape Town to Northeast Russia... it's any two points where you do an awful lot of circling before reaching the other point.
What you're on about is the _shortest_ possible walk between the two furthest points connected by land.
Awesomeness
Normal Fact: Common sense, and common curtsy are no longer common.

14:14 I think I mentioned this in the comments of another video. The worst part is that Rousseau wrote a very influential book about raising children. Well, raising sons, he didn't see the point of educating girls. 😡
Voltaire has his own issues, but he gleefully built a palace of books with his girlfriend, one of the top mathematical geniuses of the day, Émilie du Châtelet.
As often as possible I mention that Alaska is both the eastern most AND westwrn most state. It's pne of my favorite US facts

Fact 50: Pusha T's claims were validated, just not acknowledged by the scorned Aubrey.

#84 should be "antecedents" because they came before. Descendants come after you. Progenitor would also be accurate. But Ancestor should be the best option.
Don't call him "Monet?"(#49)
Édouard Manet (23 January 1832 - 30 April 1883) was a French modernist painter. Oscar-Claude Monet (14 November 1840 - 5 December 1926) was a French painter and founder of impressionist painting who is seen as a key precursor to modernism, easily confused.

If a law mandates "teaching creationism" then I would love to see teachers teaching the creation myths of the ancient Greeks and Romans, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, and as many African, Polynesian, and Native American tribes as possible. Everything *except* the Abrahamic traditions!
It's pronounced to rhyme with 'understand' - NewfinLAND. Sand, canned, bland, grand, hand... All these rhyme with Newfoundland. Land, not lind. Land land land land land land land land land land land land land land land land. LAND.
