People saying they only play High Honour from the very start are really missing the point of the game being called "Red Dead REDEMPTION". There can't really be any redemption if you're nice the whole time. The "true, canon" experience, as in what fits in best with the themes and story and dialogue, would be to be Low Honour for the first half of the game or so, and then switch to High Honour after Arthur realises he's going to die from TB. That way you actually experience a story of redemption.
Idk man Arthur kept saying the gang only rob deserving people, blatantly shooting a guy that needs help and killing random worker doesn't fit the bill 😂
@@phantom16518 The thing is, to a career criminal, it's very easy to justify anyone being "deserving" of being robbed. Those banks they rob from? They contain the money of hundreds of simple, honest working people.
I would argue no matter what you do the theme of the game is still redemption in some way. Fully low honor: failing to redeem yourself, and not ever reaching the redemption you could have. Fully high honor: being a good person despite your circumstances, redeeming yourself from your criminal history. Low honor, to high honor after TB: being humbled, and choosing to do good with what little time you have, redeeming yourself for your past atrocities. High honor, to low honor after TB: slipping into madness, and losing yourself and your way in life, doing the opposite of redemption. Either way the story is still about redemption. What changes is whether or not you receive that redemption, and how you do so.
I liked playing the game with low honour in the beginning and continue down that path until they get to Rhodes which I started getting better honour. I just felt this is how Arthur would've progressed in the story

"engranvings...give you no tatical advantage whatsoever"
Goated reference (My hand!?)

I'm high honor. Sometimes NPCs talk about you nicely
That’s the reasons I do high honor. Unless I’m just playing for fun, then uh…. My honor isn’t badddd 🤐😅
Some store clerks will recognize you and happily greet Arthur with "Welcome back!" And "you again? What do you need friend?"
Low honor is more badass but in the same time u feel bad for what u done and how arther die
It’s impossible to have high honor if you spend a lot of time in Lemoyne I swear the people there are just meaner.
IDK, killing Lemoyne raiders did not seem to effect my honor.
@@Will-Max
It seems even the game can recognize assholes
High honor is my main , beggin a good person is a memory in all people that arthur morgan spend time along before he passed 😢
ive completed this game 7 times and i had no idea about the revolver grips
👀
Bro....😅
I feel like Arthur's story is meant to be honorable. The change that you see in him is an amazing story and game
If I knew about this, when I first played the game, I would’ve gotten a low honor grip in one hand and high honor in the other
3 years I've been playing this game i never get tired of it
The gunslinger grip is also a high honor reward
I love how he favoritedthis comment cause he doesn't read them, he just favorites all of them
@quatreraberbawinner2628 i read every comment
@@nyxht170 boss
@nyxht170 did you read this one (I just want in on this action)
@@weaslemin7728 yeah lol
With this economy, high honor is way more beneficial, but low honor is way more fun.
I literally can't make myself kill someone random in the game. Just the fact that they are so realistic and probably has a family in game is just wild
i like being low honor until the lead up for arthurs death, high honor for Arthurs death is the best
Definitely guilty of trying to do high honor just for an npc to say some slick shit and get kneecapped 😂
Low honor people here👇
Me 😈
Yes, but at the end whenever author dies high honor
Here
It’s more realistic to be low honor you don’t kill thousands of people and all of the sudden become a good guy
@lemarjames9546 that’s actually so true
Low honor Arthur is just badass
Genuinely didn’t know this, thanks for the video!
You‘re welcome!
I always play as a nice and likable person because thats how I feel like Aurthur would be..... up until someone insults him for no reason, then its like.. "whoaaaaa... hold up partner, let me talk to you for a second"
I honestly can't imagine playing a game about outlaws in the wild west and trying to be a good guy
High honor, but i'd blast tf out of of npc's that pissed me off every once in a while. Then i'd go donate some money 😂
I just like the idea of a badass feared outlaw who no one who has faced him has ever come out alive (low honor)
At high honor you get a 50% discount in stores, at low honor you get a 100% discount!
I’m gonna replay it and do this
Exactly this
Idk man Arthur kept saying the gang only rob deserving people, blatantly shooting a guy that needs help and killing random worker doesn't fit the bill 😂
Playing with high honour is like playing gta5 and following the traffic rules of the road
don't forget with low honor you get 100% discount on any store
Considering the predicaments Arthur finds himself in
High honor for idealism
Low honor for realism
Aurthur ultra high honour
John ultra low honour
"Dutch, micah, come and get me you bastards!"
Ive never played a low honor run, i think it's time for that 😂 sounds fun.
Ngl i might do some heinous stuff to that that ebony grip, and go high honor the rest of the game
Like everybody : High honor with Arthur... and low honor with John ! 😂
😂 yup
I liked playing the game with low honour in the beginning and continue down that path until they get to Rhodes which I started getting better honour. I just felt this is how Arthur would've progressed in the story
I had to play multiple times, once for high honor, once for low honor then replaying the choice at the end with both low & high honor. So much detail in this game and they’re totally different experiences with low or high honor.
Plot twist
I’m both and got both grips
Arthur - HIGH HONOUR
John- Low honour 😤
Additionally, with High Honor, you get access to a completely black leather coat from the train station near Strawberry/Grizzlies that has a little shop. Can't recall the name of it, though.
Wallace Station?
@@alexander97611 That might be right! Unsure though!
@@Malvious I just went there in order to buy it! Thx for the info on the outfit!

The low honor grip is so damn cool but I can't stand being low honor
Its not for low honor its for high honor. No idea why nobody is calling it out
@@Weaponsaddict What? The Ebony Gun slinger is low honor.
@@StealthFox18 thats just not true lol. No idea where that came from. Look it up
@@Weaponsaddict Literally everything on Google says the Ebony Gunslinger Grip is low honor and the Hero Pearl one is high honor..
@@StealthFox18 its wrong idk what to tell you. I just got the gunslinger grip on high honor
Addicted to the dear cut scene, the wolf one is badass toi
The right way to play: Neutral or Low honor for Chapter 2, High Honor by the end of Chapter 3, Stay in High Honor until Hosea’s death, and fully go low honor and redeem yourself again to neutral or high honor by the end of Chapter 6
No, you don't tell me how to play
Just watched this instead of texting my crush.

low honour doesnt unlock the special grip for the double action. thats high honour aswell.
